There’s no doubt that this oven is expensive, but Fisher & Paykel says its Series 9 range of appliances are made from premium materials, so you might think it’s worth splashing out on.
Everything is controlled using the touchscreen, which offers tips for cooking different foods and a selection of auto-cook recipes. The meat probe and the LED display will show you what temperature you’ve set, and how close your meal is to reaching its goal. Moisture levels inside the oven are monitored to keep the food moist, while the AeroTech fan spreads the heat across different shelves.
This oven is also wi-fi enabled and can be controlled from your mobile or tablet using the Fisher & Paykel Connect app.
You’ll find numerous cooking methods on the menu, with the usual conventional heat, fanned heat and grill sitting alongside special programs for pizzas, pastry, slow cooking, dehydrating, dough proving and air frying.
The pyrolytic function uses a high temperature to burn away any food or splashes, leaving a fine ash that’s easy to wipe away, and the enamel-coated shelf runners don’t need to be removed before you run the program.
This model comes in black (OB60SDPTB1) or stainless steel (OB60SDPTX1).
