Although we are more than happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the workmen, we are unhappy with the customer service we have received. This stems from them fitting a cheaper clock and thermostat than what they originally quoted for without informing us before, during, or after the installation. When asked for a revised invoice to reflect the cheaper clock, we were told that the clock was 'slightly more labour intensive' to fit so the original amount still stood. When we asked for the part quoted for to be installed, we were told that that part was not compatible with our wiring but they could forward the part together with an invoice for the fitted part. We were, I admit, a bit confused by the functionality of the clocks. Because of this confusion they then offered to quote for a clock with the functionality we thought we were getting. The clock they suggested was expensive and required additional pipework. However, there are clocks available with the functionality that we wanted which are cheaper than the original clock quoted for and don't require extra pipework. They did agree to replace the clock with one that had the functionality we required at no extra expense to us. However they also agreed to replace a dodgy thermostat which they failed to do. At no point have they apologised for their mistake in providing an incorrect quote. Because of this, we now no longer wish to have any dealings with this company and cannot recommend them.

We don’t generally reply to comments on this site but as managing director of Metro eco Ltd I must make exception as I take criticism of our staff in a rather unwelcome light. Our staff are second to none, from the apprentices to the management each and every one gives their upmost to offer our customers a service which is unparalleled. They’re polite, positive, friendly and exceptionally good at their respective jobs. I have looked into this complaint personally and I must say I’m more than happy in the way our staff dealt with a difficult and fastidious individual. This customer’s ignorance is no excuse to criticise our staff, our staff tried in a positive manner to solve the technical wiring issues with minimal fuss, at no point requesting additional payment. Issues can arise as each initial survey is none intrusive and every house is different but the implication we somehow tried to cheat this customer is absurd. I will let EVERY other positive review of ours do the talking!!
