I can’t speak highly enough of Ed and his work. He has completed two projects for us both for interior lights and even though both turned out to be quite complex, he managed to find a way round every obstacle that was thrown at him. He’s punctual, courteous and tidy. He is definitely our ‘go-to’ electrician!

I found Ed on Trusted Trader around 5 years ago when looking for someone to rewire my spotlights. Since then I have used him for every electrical job that came up, including rewiring my kitchen, changing the fusebox, safety checks and more recently installing cctv. Ed is always organised, on time and very friendly. Explains what he will be doing as well as completing the job without a hitch in a timely manner. He will also do his upmost to hide cables and make sure the end product not only works well but also looks good too! If I have any questions regarding anything electrical he always responds to my emails and happily offers advice. He is very trustworthy and is my go to electrician. I will continue to use his services and have recommended to family and friends - they now use him too!

Ed and his team carried out a difficult project for our church that including replacing all our nave lighting and emergency lighting around our entrances and exits. The work was done to a very high standard and ahead of time which was critical to the parish as we had closed the church to enable the scaffolding to be erected. The work was all done within the agreed price. We have used Ed on several occasions in the past an always found the company to be very helpful in doing the work which has always to a high standard and within price. Nice people to work with.

Ed was excellent to deal with throughout our project. He was always very responsive to calls and emails and his quality of work appears to be very good. Reliable and I would certainly use again.

I recently had a complete electrical installation in my house and I was worried about its safety as I found a number of faults left by the electrician/builder who did this work. I contacted Ed Rich to ask him to test the electrics. He was very sympathetic, said he would do it, asked for a photograph of my consumer unit and gave me a price based on this. He confirmed the date, arrived on time, set up his work station and worked quietly and efficiently testing the electrical system. When he was finished testing he showed me his report, explained the readings on it and explained that he had found a significant fault which needed to be rectified as it could could cause a fire. He said some live cables were lying loose under the floorboards. He advised me to tell my original electrician what he found and offer him the opportunity to rectify it. He handled this extremely diplomatically. The original electrician returned to test and rectify the work and he found but serious and potentially two faults, which he repaired. I phoned Ed in the presence of the original electrician to check the readings with him and he assured me the installation was now safe. He tidied up and left the house as he had found it. He is an experienced and well trained electrician, he was entirely open with me, charged me a reasonable price, and I felt I could trust him entirely. I will always engage him in the future and I will recommend him to family and friends.

Since my husband died I have found it difficult to manage things like changing lightbulbs, and when the light in the bathroom went out, I was unable to climb up to change the bulb. Fortunately I was able to turn to Ed as he has done work for us several times in the past, and I knew I could rely on him. He dropped by on his way home that evening and identified the problem, which was more than a burned out bulb. He suggested how we might get round the problem, and we arranged a time for the next week, but he then contacted me to say he could do the work today if it was convenient. Ed has done major work for us in the past but he was just as willing to undertake this small job, and that means a lot. I feel confident that he will do a good job in any situation, and his kindness makes him a special trader. I recommend him without any hesitation.

We were looking for an electrician to install a pendant light over our dining table and have it work from the wall switch, which previously controlled a set of LED down-lights. We asked that the down-lights be transferred to another circuit so that they remained functional. Ed's work was excellent and we are very happy with the result. It was very easy to discuss the job with him, and he took the time to understand what we wanted. He quoted an amount that we thought was very reasonable for the work and he had availability within a few days. On the day of the work, he and his apprentice arrived on time and the whole thing was done in under 90 mins, including clean-up afterwards. No hidden costs or charges either! Very happy with this result and impressed with Ed's work. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an electrician in the west London area.
