Our Combi boiler needed replacing urgently, as the diaphragm had burst and the boiler was condemned. We were recommended 1st Call Gas Services and gave them a call to se if they could come and give us a quote. As soon as I mentioned the urgency of the job an appointment was booked for the same morning. We also got quotes from other Companies but decided to go with 1st Call Gas Services as they gave us numerous options for the boiler and different warranty options too. On the morning of the installation Darrell and Theo arrived promptly, were extremely polite and friendly. They explained what they would need to do . They then just got on with the job. Once the installation was complete, Darrell gave a demonstration as to how the boiler worked and let us ask questions . Before they left they tidied up and disposed of the old boiler and associated pipework.

1st Call Gas Services have been an excellent company to deal with. When booking my annual service they are always polite and arrange a time to suit me,always telling the name of who to expect and time window. I got a call 15 mins before he arrived and he even left his shoes on the step. Very efficient and thorough, always polite. I would'nt hesitate to recommend them.

Replacement of T3R Thermostat

We rang up because we had an intermittent fault with the thermostat and an appointment was made for the next day. The engineer arrived on time and was very friendly. He gave us all the options and no pressure was made to update and spend money on a new thermostat. He said we had been very unlucky that the previous one had started to fail, but we decided to get a new one rather than keep having to call out. We have used this company for several years and would highly recommend them.

Annuual gas boiler service review

Appointment was for 8am. The fitter rang ahead at about 740 to say he was on his way and arrived ahead of time. He showed me how clean the boiler was and completed his work quickly and efficiently. We paid for this top quality gas boiler and it is now 6 years old. Very satisfied and a further 6 years of warranty remains. Always been happy with their services and expect that to continue.

I have used this company since they installed my new boiler some 6 years or so ago. They have never let me down, they contact me to arrange a date for the service at the end of each year and make a date for the beginning of the next year. Their staff are ultra friendly and helpful and the tradesman that carry oyt the work are very professional indeed, explaining exactly what they are doing along the way. I can't recommend them enough.

First Call Heating were kind , efficient , effective and very rapid . Cannot recommend them highly enough . Sarah was our initial contact and was outstanding , an employee to be highly valued . David who gave us the quote knows his stuff , very professional . Daryl and Theo both of whom carried out the installation, were kind , careful , highly competent and reliable , particularly when dealing with my elderly father in law . The installation was arranged and carried out in a very short timescale . No need to look elsewhere , would highly recommend First Call .

I have used 1st Call Gas Services to service my boiler annually and they have been really good. This year, on the day when everyone awoke to freezing conditions, our boiler wasn't working. We are on the 'vulnerable' list and when I contacted them, they could not have been more helpful, kind and reassuring. Soon someone was here, explained the problem, made a temporary fix because they explained that as it was under warranty, I needed to get the manufacturer in to replace the valve. They could have easily done it and I'd have paid. But they have integrity and honesty, and did what was best for us. Honestly, from the person who answers the 'phone to the person who comes and fixes the issue, can't fault them - so helpful and kind.

Outstanding service
We have been with 1st Call Gas since we had a new boiler installed in 2020. We have found the personnel to be very professional, good time keepers and very helpful. Prices seem to be fair for both parties. Booking is also efficient so we give them outstanding service all round.

I decided to give 1st Call Gas a call, as I couldn't get any hot water or my heating to work. The office staff understood that this was urgent with the cold weather setting in, so she arranged for a plumber to come to mine ASAP. We arranged a suitable time and date (it could've been that same day). The plumber assessed the situation and weighed up the options to me. He was very knowledgable and from his facts, it was clear I definitely needed a new boiler. The next day, two more plumbers arrived, ready to take the old boiler out and replace it with a new one. They kept my house clean and tidy and took all the rubbish away, including the old boiler. All the staff were polite, professional and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I need in the future. It is such a peace of mind knowing the people working in your home, just want to do the best job possible in an honest way. I would definitely recommend the company to others!

This was the first service on my boiler which was supplied and fitted by 1st Call a year ago. The appointment was originally booked for the following day but I had a call from the engineer, who had had a cancellation, asking if I would like the service that day. I was home so it suited me to get it done. He was very efficient, polite and friendly. It didn't take long to check the boiler, everything was working fine, which was expected due to it's age. He didn't check the radiators as the engineer has in previous services on my old boiler, but he said he had switched the heating on briefly to test it. I'm confident that everything will work fine when the weather gets cold. I was advised of the cost (£90) when I booked the appointment and was a bit surprised as previously I have paid much less for services from other companies which included a check of every radiator. However, it will be 2 years since I had to have a boiler serviced and I appreciate that the price of everything has increased in that time. All in all I'm satisfied with the work.

The engineer, David Cameron, called beforehand to confirm the date and start time, plus the name of the boiler in question. After a quick call to check the address - it was his & the company's first visit - and parking, he started work immediately. He worked quietly and thoroughly throughout his visit, finishing by checking all the central heating radiators as requested. He then took time to answer my queries clearly and concisely. He gave me advice on the probable life expectancy of the present boiler - not very long! - and the costs of a new boiler. This advice seemed again clear, informed, and sensible.

Was able to get an appointment really quickly, and they responded promptly, even when I couldn't get back to them for 4 days due to work. The engineer was knowledgeable and patient with my lack of any gas knowledge, haha, and even managed to lower my price when the job wasn't as big as expected. Highly recommend.
