1st Call Services Ltd, installed and commissioned boiler under ECO4 Government Scheme for my Father & Mother in Law. Company agreed to install specific boiler at agreed additional cost. Company called in advance to confirm when Engineer & Electrician would be arriving they also provided name of both the Engineer & Electrician which shows great customer service. Engineer & Electrician arrived at the agreed time an completed the work they were scheduled to completed. Good communications throughout whole engagement and invoice issued promptly after works completed.

work was finished in 1 day and to budget as agreed. heating engineers and electrician arrived on time, and knew exactly what was required. All were helpful, tidy and polite. Everything was fully checked and new controls were fully explained. Later the same day a hot water mixer tap would not turn off, probably due to the increased water pressure, I rang their emergency number and was given instructions to isolate the tap. The next day a plumber arrived and quickly fitted a new mixer tap. I can recommend this company.

We've used 1st Call Gas Services for a number of upgrades to our CH system and they have always been excellent. This was a call to carry out a routine boiler service and replace a faulty pressure switch and was carried out quickly and efficiently. Arranging a visit was uncomplicated and the service call was arranged early in the same week.The engineer was thorough, tidy and courteous and we would not hesitate recommending this company for any issues with gas systems.

My first interaction with a gas boiler service, having recently bought a property and receiving a letter in the post from 1st call to remind me that the next service was due (the service log did confirm it had been installed and subsequently annually serviced late Feb each year by this same company). I phoned up, and was able to schedule an appointment in the next week with great flexibility to meet my work schedule. I did later need to rearrange that and it was no problem (there was a slight mistake with the scheduling on their part, but it was quickly resolved). The engineer arrived on time, fully stripped and cleaned the boiler and performed some additional checks (the roof from outdoors and via the attic) and also answered a few questions that I had. Only, minor, complaint was that the engineer emptied something cleaned out of the boiler into the bathroom sink (black dust and dead wasps). They forgot to wash it down the sink, so I had to do that myself after they'd left.

1st Call installed the boiler a year ago.It has worked perfectly since then,and they have just done its first service. The engineer contacted me on the day of the service to say he could come early due to some cancellations,so we agreed the new time. He came,carried out the service,explained what he had done and that everything was normal. He was polite and efficient,and charged me the amount I had been quoted when I booked the service. He filled in the service record,which was also sent to me as an email attachment along with a receipt.

David was great, called to check if he could pop in earlier than scheduled, checked everything in the boiler, cleaned valves and retested etc and was on hand whilst I called the boiler makers to discuss replacement of parts under warranty. This is now the fifth time that this company has entered my home... once to install my boiler and 4 yearly services since. Every single tradesman has been polite and very courteous giving great respect to their surroundings . Repair leak on central heating

Excellent service. Kile arrived on time, was friendly, courteous and thoughtful, always removing his shoes when moving around the house on carpets. The leak on the central heating was in an awkward place where pipes emerged from a concrete floor in the pantry, with two joints close together, and other pipes immediately behind. There was an added problem that the joints featured 12mm and 8mm micro bore pipes. 12mm piping is no longer available. However Kile sorted out how to use a 12mm to 15mm connector on the feed pipe, then replace two joints with 15mm to 8mm feeds, and made a clean connection on the four cuts he had to make. The work took several hours but the system is now working fine.

My boiler lost pressure 3 times in a few days so I rang 1st Call Gas, who installed the boiler 2 years ago. An engineer came out 2 days later. Before looking at he boiler, he said he would check the radiators. The first one he checked had a slight leak! This had affected the system and reduced boiler pressure. He fitted a new valve and showed me where it was faulty. I was impressed with his care and professionalism. Before coming into the house he put covers over his boots, too. I paid by card on a hand held machine. It was all so easy!

I had a new boiler fitted 6 yrs ago and rang the manufacturer to do the first service. The engineer did the work ok but was a bit offhand and the company didn't clean the type of filter I’d also had fitted. As a new boiler, it was clean, easily accessible at waist height so it didn’t take him long but I thought the cost was on the high side. Since then I’ve always used 1st Call Gas Services Ltd to do the annual service. I saw their full page, eye catching ad in my local free magazine. They always answer the phone promptly and politely, plus they tell me the cost of the service, also advising that I can pay by card or cash. I’ve never had to ask and to date it hasn’t differed from what I was told. The engineers have always been prompt and use disposable footwear covers at all time. They are professional yet friendly and are happy to answer any questions I might have. Before leaving they ensure the radiators are hot and don’t need bleeding. Their service is excellent and as long as they are trading I won’t be using anyone else to service/repair my boiler. I’d recommend the company to anyone.

I reported my broken boiler to 1st Call at 10 this morning. They said they would see if yhey could rearrange some jobs to get to me asap. Fifteen minutes later an engineer phoned to say he could be at my house in 20 minutes. He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem as a faulty pump. He had the pump replaced and the boiler working again by lunchtime. I still can't believe how fast and efficient 1st Call were.

I have honestly never dealt with such an efficient, fair and honest company. From the first point of contact, everybody from 1st Call Gas Services were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. My gas boiler (installed over 5 years ago by 1st Call Gas) stopped working. I called 1st Call Gas around 9.30am and they were able to send a plumber within 3 hours. The plumber diagnosed the problem and said it could cost £500 to fix, but suggested the boiler may be within warranty. He checked it out and found 3 months remained of a 6 year warranty. He then contacted the manufacturer to arrange for them to fix the problem - at no cost. 1st Call Gas charged me a reduced call out charge for their service. I was very satisfied.

Before this service, the boiler had annual British Gas services under a maintenance contract and they had found no problems. The 1st Call man found loads of accumulated muck that he had to scrape out from two places. The BG checklist includes 'Magnetic system filter checked' but 1st Call man told me this seldom is a problem. Clearly, BG has not checked properly for blockages. Having cleaned up, my boiler is now running well but he suggested I consider getting Worcester Bosch to do an overhaul next year as this requires special tools. 1st Call charged £78 - a lot less than a one-year service contract.

This is now my ‘go to’ firm as they provide quick, knowledgeable, friendly, reliable service. They were great at diagnosing an issue with relatively new boiler last year (installer/previous service company just didn’t make any effort to sort us quickly). I have just had my boiler serviced for its second year. 1st Call Gas fitted the boiler efficiently two years ago. They sent reminders for service when it was due. The engineers were all friendly. They wore shoe coverings to keep my carpets clean during the service. Payment was very easy as the engineer was able to read a card and send me a receipt by email. I also received a receipted invoice and gas certificate next day by email. I am very pleased with 1st Call Gas!

A fast leak appeared on the piping below our hot water expansion vessel. Our usual plumbers couldn’t attend for 6 days. I rang 1st and they said a plumber would come immediately after normal working hours. He rang just after 5 to say he was on his way. By the time he arrived the vessel had fallen off the wall - it had filled up and become heavy. He emptied the vessel, recharged it, tested it and refixed it. This was all done expertly and cheerfully though he had already done a day’s difficult work. Without this prompt and effective help we would have had real problems. The emergency call out cost £100 and with VAT and materials it was £132. Money well spent.

We have had a maintenance contract with 1st Call for four years now and have experience, nothing but prompt reliable and professional service. They have always come when arranged and always left having done an excellent job! The best example of this being, just recently, we had a leak from underneath our shower, indicated by staining on the kitchen ceiling and water gushing from an electric light switch downstairs! In this situation you fear the worst and envisage a lot of material disruption. We contacted first call straight away and we were reassured and had a visit arranged from one of their plumbers on the same day! Not only did he find the leak but replaced the faulty parts and sorted the problem there and then with the absolute minimum of disruption! Much to our great relief. All round really good customer service and piece of mind. We would not hesitate to recommend 1st Call to anyone and have indeed done so to several members of our family. A big thank you!

The 1st Call guy came round reasonably soon and assessed the problem, and a few days later came to install the replacement part and check everything was working properly. Excellent customer service, when I telephoned to explain that the pressure had gone, they managed to fit me in the next day. The engineer got the boiler back to pressure but new parts were needed, all this was explained and an appointment made for the following week as the parts had to be ordered. The engineer turned up at the allotted time on both occasions, telephoning beforehand to make let me know where he was and how long he was going to be. He explained what he needed to do to get the boiler fixed (and to complete my annual service), in language I could understand! The office then telephoned to confirm the price and that I wanted the work doing by them, they then made an appointment. It was all very easy and efficient and the staff were all helpful and clear in everything they did.

I have used First Call since 2018 for the annual service of my gas boiler, I have been reassured by their excellent service and reasonable costs. Setting up the appointments at a time convenient for me was easy by phone or text, efficient office staff, confirmation by email. The gas engineers were always punctual, efficient, knowledgeable, polite. What I really appreciate is that the engineer explains to me what they're doing, how things work, what problems might be; they are good communicators willing to answer questions. A reminder for when the service is due is sent, but no annoying badgering. I am 100 % satisfied with First Call and will definitely continue to use them for service and repairs. (I do not usually complete satisfaction surveys, but this company deserves it.)

I have been a customer of 1st Call for over 15 years and from the start they have always provided a quality service at reasonable prices. I have seen the company develop and grow and become the deserved success it is today. They are good communicators, turn up on time and get the job done without delay. The most recent call was a routine service on our old boiler but it took a lot longer as there were problems. The engineer stayed late until the job was done. It transpired that there are repairs needed, or a new boiler and 1st Call had another of their associates come out next day, free of charge to quote for the repairs or replacement. We are now having a new boiler fitted next week and are very happy with the prompt service.

First of all, I was sent a reminder when the boiler needed to be serviced. When I rang to book the boiler service the lady I spoke to was friendly and helpful. It’s useful to be given an a.m. or p.m. appointment so that you don’t have to wait in all day. The engineer rang to let me know when he would be arriving. He was smart, friendly and answered questions I had about the job and the water pressure. He carried out his work quickly, quietly and efficiently. He left the site clean and tidy. Engineer from 1st Call Gas Services dug out the old soakaway aggregate from around the external condensate pipe, because the original installers had used inadequate-sized stones which combined with the surrounding soil had set hard like concrete, thus impeding the flow of water which was going back into the boiler and shutting it down. A paving stone was removed to access the condensate pipe. The personable engineer worked expertly and diligently to rectify this, replacing all the aggregate stones with larger ones - showing me what he was doing as the job progressed. When finished he replaced the paving stone exactly as it was before and brushed the area until it was spotless.

I live in a city centre apartment with a simple hot water cylinder and immersion heater system. When I was greeted one morning with the cylinder leaking all over the hallway, 1st Call were able to get over to me in less than two hours to diagnose the problem and advise short and medium term actions and solutions. They booked me in for three days later to replace my faulty system. Their representative, Leon, was friendly, helpful and to the point. On the day of work, engineer Kile arrived on time, began work straight away and kept me up to date throughout the day. Once complete time was taken to talk me through the new tank and gave me a chance to check that everything was working correctly. Everything was left today and I was assured to call them if any problems did crop up. I would definitely recommend this company for their fast and efficient service.

After our old boiler failed during a very cold period I contacted several companies for a quote for a replacement.The very professional and efficient way the team at 1st Call Gas handled my request was very reassuring, several of the companies I called didn’t even feel the need to come and look at the job but asked me to email photos of my existing boiler and pipework. When I called 1st Call gas they said someone would come out and assess the job at 8 am the next day and bang on 8 their engineer turned up and thoroughly checked all aspects of the work necessary and reassuring me that I didn’t need to upgrade any pipe work etc. Their quote was very competitive and they were able to offer me a slot for installation a few days lay, again they turned up at the time stated, the heating engineer was polite, friendly and helpful and the work was completed in just over half a day when I had been quoted by other companies for a two to three day job. We are very happy with all aspects of how our job was handled from start to finish and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 1st Call Gas to anyone wanting a new boiler or heating system.

We had excellent service from 1st Call Gas when replacing our old boiler last November, from Leon's initial visit to prepare an estimate and talk through our numerous queries to the installation itself. The fitters (Billy and Kyle) were great - punctual, efficient, very friendly, hardworking and tidy. The boiler has been installed now for three months and is working really well and efficiently. We've definitely used less gas compared to this time last year (despite being at home with the heat on a lot more because of Covid restrictions). Would highly recommend 1st Call Gas.

Fantastic service from start to completion. Heating broke down during the height of winter and these guys were lifesavers, came straight away and replaced our system in a day. There was minimal mess and we were so impressed with the service we decided to replace/ update our shower system and replace plugs, taps and waste in our bathroom. Very happy.

We have a somewhat complex piped underfloor heating system and one of the two zones stopped working unless the other zone was working, which was not how it was supposed to work. The first engineer identified the control system as the problem. I was contacted by phone to give a quote, as the parts are rather expensive. Once the parts arrived, I was contacted again to arrange a visit. I already knew Dave, who fitted the new replacement control system, as his firm has done several pieces of work for us. He patiently explained what he was doing as the new and complicated system was fitted. All now works perfectly and indeed better than before. It can sometimes be different to find reliable tradespeople, but ever since we first used them, they have been completely reliable, pleasant and in my view, good value for money.

We originally were booked for Thursday 19/11 but they called and asked if they could come on 14/11 between 9-12. We were happy with that. We received a call 20 minutes prior to them turning up. When the engineer turned up he had a mask on plus coverings for his shoes. The service took around 35-40 minutes. I paid with a debit card as he had a small card machine with him. He also updated boiler service record. I then received a couple of days later the service report and a receipt. I'm pleased with the service that I get from 1st Call so can recommend them.

Throughout the process Dave has been a very good communicator. He visited us to look at the site and to quote for new boilers and produced quotes by return, just before the Covid-19 lockdown. It was agreed that we would have a new boiler, but only when we were comfortable to have installer/s in the house. They were never 'pushy', which impressed me. So I was looking at replacing a 10+ year old boiler in the house. Always been a bit flakey but never not been able to have heating and hot water, just a bit temperamental at times. That being said it must have took offence at this because no sooner had I put a request in for a quote it died the following day completely! The company representative called me on the phone same day, and came out the evening after as planned to discuss. He explained in detail the process and possible issues for me to consider (Gas pipe run length/bends/width of pipe etc). No pressure, super competitive on pricing and managed to get an install 2 days earlier by speaking to another customer (who's boiler wasn't dead who was willing to swap days) and I had everything back in good time. Good aftercare, good on site installation and couldn't be happier. It's worth mentioning though that the company were willing to supply electric heaters if I wasn't able to get an install earlier than agreed which was a nice touch. The installer was a genuine guy who had great customer service, and left the house in a clean and tidy state, did a really clean job and nothing was left behind for me to deal with. Some of the pipe work was boxed in also behind tiles and we expected it to be OK and it was. Seems we both measured well! Wireless app thing was installed and having this shown to me on the initial meeting swung the add on and again this was really well priced. 100% recommended.

Our 14 year old boiler was not working. I called 1st call gas and they came early next day.(Friday) I was astonished to hear it was not economical to repair and a replacement boiler would be more sensible. I was originally offered the next Monday for the work to be done which I was happy with. I then got a call late Friday pm asking if it was possible to start the work then. It was and got my new boiler fitted the same day that my old one was inspected. All old boiler parts removed and everything tidied up.What a fabulous service.

I had a boiler that was at least 20 years old that was beyond tired, I decided it was time for a new Combi boiler after having the hot water tank use up all the room in the airing cupboard. The only call I made was to 1st call gas, they came straight out and surveyed the house and listened to what I wanted, gave me some different suggestions but didn’t try and push me one way or another, I made the decision and arranged for the fitting. On fitting day the fitters arrived exactly on time and took the time to place dust sheets down to protect the area and took there shoes off to go upstairs until all the sheets were down, the two fit days went smoothly with the team being very polite and cleaned up everything before they left each night. Overall the team at 1st call gas has done an amazing job for me and I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone, In fact my sister will be in touch soon, thanks again to David and all the team.

We thought we had cleared ourselves the pipe blockage so hired 1st Gas Call to just refit the pipe work we had taken apart. Your guy did an excellent job re fitting the awkward sink pipe work but then saw the drainage pipe was still blocked. It was good he did this final check and even better that he quickly located the blockage and fully resolved this - it took a little longer but my son now has bathroom wash facilities back. Yippee.

Having had a new boiler installed two years ago, and with many residual problems left unsolved, I decided to look for a local gas heating company. I called 1st Call Gas Services Limited and was left with with a good feeling with the Reception Staff. I have now used this Company on three occasions and it was like a breath of fresh air. I commissioned the company to replace a defective thermostat, service the boiler, and to resolve noisy pipework. Their engineers carried out the work with great efficiency and resolved these defects. The engineers, without naming them, completed the work, were friendly, helpful and kept me informed on progress. There is clearly an effective teamwork in place from the front office through to engineers and communications within the company are clear. I have no hesitation in using the company again and would recommend them to others.

Our first visit from 1st Call was the week before to remove a large radiator that wasn't required anymore and to check on two other radiators that were not working. The engineer was very friendly, polite and worked very quickly. It was no easy task for him to get to the piping under the floor, but he took it all in his stride. We decided to order a new radiator for one of the rooms and the engineer measured up for this. This was ordered very quickly for us after we were given the price first. Very impressed with the quick, effcient sevice and another very friendly engineer. Will definitely use 1st Call again.

From the first visit to discuss what was required we were told the type of boiler which would meet all our needs . We were able to have the boiler fitted exactly where we wished . The date and time to suit was no problem. We were given an approximate estimate immediately which was confirmed by phone within 2 Hours.The actual fitters were punctual and very efficient. The first job was to cover all carpets and vulnerable areas. The Replacement wasn't straightforward because it was a back boiler that required removing to be replaced with a combi boiler.
