We have a somewhat complex piped underfloor heating system and one of the two zones stopped working unless the other zone was working, which was not how it was supposed to work. The first engineer identified the control system as the problem. I was contacted by phone to give a quote, as the parts are rather expensive. Once the parts arrived, I was contacted again to arrange a visit. I already knew Dave, who fitted the new replacement control system, as his firm has done several pieces of work for us. He patiently explained what he was doing as the new and complicated system was fitted. All now works perfectly and indeed better than before. It can sometimes be different to find reliable tradespeople, but ever since we first used them, they have been completely reliable, pleasant and in my view, good value for money.

1st Call Gas Services installed my boiler a few years ago and service it every year. The work is always done efficiently and in a tidy manner. This November, under COVID restrictions, the work was undertaken in a very safe manner. The engineers and the office staff are always friendly and easy to communicate with and ask questions. Feel very comfortable and in good hands with this team.

We had a gas boiler and unvented cylinder serviced. Engineer arrived on time and was professional. I had a number of questions about the system as it was still new to us and he was more than helpful explaining all the different control mechanisms. Compared to other companies we called the quote was reasonably and fairly priced. Great work and great service. Will definitely use again.

New combi boiler fitted, new bath shower mixer tap, new basin taps.
Fantastic service from start to completion. Heating broke down during the height of winter and these guys were lifesavers, came straight away and replaced our system in a day. There was minimal mess and we were so impressed with the service we decided to replace/ update our shower system and replace plugs, taps and waste in our bathroom. Very happy.

We have used this company several times previously and found they gave first class service. The service was booked for 8.30 on Friday 28 January 2021. The engineer rang to say he was on his way and arrived some 20 minutes later - right on time. The engineer was careful and considerate and the service was completed with no fuss. Great service - great engineer

I had a new boiler installed and three blocked radiators cleared. When I called and explained my situation,1st Call Gas came out the following day to give me an estimate. They were extremely helpful and gave me options to save money where I could. The work was started first thing the following week and completed on time as promised. 1st Call Gas were punctual, helpful and efficient and charged the agreed amount. Everything is now working well and I would definitely recommend them.

I used this company a year ago to fit me my new boiler and they did excellent work. I have just had them out to do me the first service and the guy who came was great did everything he was supposed to and was friendly he also left everything clean and tidy when he left. i would recommend this company to anyone and I will continue to use them for all my future boiler services thank you

We had excellent service from 1st Call Gas when replacing our old boiler last November, from Leon's initial visit to prepare an estimate and talk through our numerous queries to the installation itself. The fitters (Billy and Kyle) were great - punctual, efficient, very friendly, hardworking and tidy. The boiler has been installed now for three months and is working really well and efficiently. We've definitely used less gas compared to this time last year (despite being at home with the heat on a lot more because of Covid restrictions). Would highly recommend 1st Call Gas.

We recently had our boiler serviced by the Team at 1st Call Gas. The engineer who came to the property was friendly and respectful of COVID guidelines and wore his mask throughout his time in our property. He carried out our service with minimal disruption and he was polite and informative. Overall a great service by the team and a very satisfied customer. I highly reccomend 1st Call Gas Top Job.

1st call gas came to replace our old boiler and install some radiators at our property recently, our experience of them has been very positive. They were very responsive in offering us a competitive quote and advice. The office staff have been helpful and efficient in getting answers to any questions. The engineers came on time and were polite and diligent throughout, in addition to doing a good job they were helpful and courteous. They left the place tidy and showed us how to use the Honeywell 3r heating system. They even managed to resolve a water pressure issue we had been experiencing which has, in addition to the other work done, made a huge difference to us as a family. We both found 1st call gas easy and straightforward to deal with and experienced a reliable and professional service which we are very happy with and would recommend without hesitation.

After our old boiler failed during a very cold period I contacted several companies for a quote for a replacement.The very professional and efficient way the team at 1st Call Gas handled my request was very reassuring, several of the companies I called didn’t even feel the need to come and look at the job but asked me to email photos of my existing boiler and pipework. When I called 1st Call gas they said someone would come out and assess the job at 8 am the next day and bang on 8 their engineer turned up and thoroughly checked all aspects of the work necessary and reassuring me that I didn’t need to upgrade any pipe work etc. Their quote was very competitive and they were able to offer me a slot for installation a few days lay, again they turned up at the time stated, the heating engineer was polite, friendly and helpful and the work was completed in just over half a day when I had been quoted by other companies for a two to three day job. We are very happy with all aspects of how our job was handled from start to finish and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 1st Call Gas to anyone wanting a new boiler or heating system.

Fast Response to leaking cylinder system

I live in a city centre apartment with a simple hot water cylinder and immersion heater system. When I was greeted one morning with the cylinder leaking all over the hallway, 1st Call were able to get over to me in less than two hours to diagnose the problem and advise short and medium term actions and solutions. They booked me in for three days later to replace my faulty system. Their representative, Leon, was friendly, helpful and to the point. On the day of work, engineer Kile arrived on time, began work straight away and kept me up to date throughout the day. Once complete time was taken to talk me through the new tank and gave me a chance to check that everything was working correctly. Everything was left today and I was assured to call them if any problems did crop up. I would definitely recommend this company for their fast and efficient service.

I can highly recommend 1st Gas, this is the second visit we have had in a week to two different problems by the same engineer (PETER) firstly to no hot water which he fixed very efficiently and the second to repair a broken control on a radiator, he was such a patient kind and helpful man and repaired the problems with no effort, a very professional engineer, he even took some cards to post for me. He is a credit to the company. The customer service staff were very polite and professional, and the job was done in the allocated time.

This was the 1st annual service for our boiler installed last year. The engineer was courteous and wore a mask as requested. The visit was postponed from earlier due to a Covid positive case but the secretary soon had a new date on the calendar. The engineer arrived in the time specified and the service was efficiently done. I would always recommend your company if the current high standards are maintained. Indeed, I have already recommended you to friends in the town who had a boiler breakdown a few weeks ago.

1st Call Gas Services tested my chimney and then installed real flame gas fires in our 2 fireplaces. They were prompt to come out, very knowledgeable and friendly and completed the work neatly leaving no mess. I will definitely use them again for any gas work and will be recommending them to friends. The engineers themselves were charming and the ladies booking appointments in their office were extremely efficient.

I have used 1st Call Gas a few times now and can't imagine using any other gas engineers. From the first telephone call to the final fix their team have been excellent. Even if it's just a quick boiler service to what was recently a misbehaving heating system they have been superb. The team are polite, professional, caring and efficient.
