Thank you so much for your help. David came out to fix our boiler because the water was lukewarm. He called before he arrived, was on time, really friendly and helpful. He quickly worked out what the problem was, got the part from the van and fitted it. It was an excellent service and I would definitely recommend the company to others. Thanks a million.

Boiler fault repair
Our hot water for the taps was being heated regardless of its control setting. The 1st Call guy came round reasonably soon and assessed the problem, and a few days later came to install the replacement part and check everything was working properly. He was friendly, competent, didn't leave any mess, and it all seems fine now. We're happy with the service.

We have had a maintenance contract with 1st Call for four years now and have experience, nothing but prompt reliable and professional service. They have always come when arranged and always left having done an excellent job! The best example of this being, just recently, we had a leak from underneath our shower, indicated by staining on the kitchen ceiling and water gushing from an electric light switch downstairs! In this situation you fear the worst and envisage a lot of material disruption. We contacted first call straight away and we were reassured and had a visit arranged from one of their plumbers on the same day! Not only did he find the leak but replaced the faulty parts and sorted the problem there and then with the absolute minimum of disruption! Much to our great relief. All round really good customer service and piece of mind. We would not hesitate to recommend 1st Call to anyone and have indeed done so to several members of our family. A big thank you!

Rapid response to emergency call out, problem solved
A fast leak appeared on the piping below our hot water expansion vessel. Our usual plumbers couldn’t attend for 6 days. I rang 1st and they said a plumber would come immediately after normal working hours. He rang just after 5 to say he was on his way. By the time he arrived the vessel had fallen off the wall - it had filled up and become heavy. He emptied the vessel, recharged it, tested it and refixed it. This was all done expertly and cheerfully though he had already done a day’s difficult work. Without this prompt and effective help we would have had real problems. The emergency call out cost £100 and with VAT and materials it was £132. Money well spent.

We were very happy with 1st call gas. We needed a new water tank in the attic. The service provided from start to finish was excellent. At all times we were kept informed of the work that was needed and the time and costs. Also the price of the work was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this company.

Great as always
This is the 3rd time Iv used 1st call for a variety of jobs. Today was just to fix or replace a faulty kitchen tap. Iv had the same plumber Kyle each time and he’s always so knowledgeable and polite. He fixed the tap really quickly and I was charged a reduced rate as it hadn’t taken him long. Would highly recommend.

Efficient Boiler Service
My boiler was serviced by Mr. C Haigh on the 11th July, I received a courtesy call before his arrival. I asked him to show me how to adjust the pressure which he instructed me on. I was very pleased, he explained exactly what he’d checked and if I noticed any problems to get in touch. Thank you for always providing an excellent service!

I have just had my boiler serviced for its second year. 1st Call Gas fitted the boiler efficiently two years ago. They sent reminders for service when it was due. The engineers were all friendly. They wore shoe coverings to keep my carpets clean during the service. Payment was very easy as the engineer was able to read a card and send me a receipt by email. I also received a receipted invoice and gas certificate next day by email. I am very pleased with 1st Call Gas!

Boiler Service
This is now my ‘go to’ firm as they provide quick, knowledgeable, friendly, reliable service. They were great at diagnosing an issue with relatively new boiler last year (installer/previous service company just didn’t make any effort to sort us quickly). Therefore also used them for annual boiler service. Clean, tidy and friendly. Now going to almost certainly use them for some replacement radiator work and I know I will get a stress-free experience at a sensible price.

Loft Radiator Installation - Very good service
Highly professional and friendly service. Very approachable and helpful before and during the work. They were the fourth plumbers company we had contacted, we had been very disappointed by the poor communication from the first three who didn't bother to return our calls or even send a quote after they had visited. 1st Call Gas Services were by far the best in terms of communication, professionalism and value for money. Service of Worcester Bosch Greenstar Combi Boiler
Before this service, the boiler had annual British Gas services under a maintenance contract and they had found no problems. The 1st Call man found loads of accumulated muck that he had to scrape out from two places. The BG checklist includes 'Magnetic system filter checked' but 1st Call man told me this seldom is a problem. Clearly, BG has not checked properly for blockages. Having cleaned up, my boiler is now running well but he suggested I consider getting Worcester Bosch to do an overhaul next year as this requires special tools. 1st Call charged £78 - a lot less than a one-year service contract.

My gas boiler (installed over 5 years ago by 1st Call Gas) stopped working. I called 1st Call Gas around 9.30am and they were able to send a plumber within 3 hours. The plumber diagnosed the problem and said it could cost £500 to fix, but suggested the boiler may be within warranty. He checked it out and found 3 months remained of a 6 year warranty. He then contacted the manufacturer to arrange for them to fix the problem - at no cost. 1st Call Gas charged me a reduced call out charge for their service. I was very satisfied.
