I used 1st Call Gas Services Ltd on recommendation from my mother. Booking a time for my boiler service was easy. The engineer called in advance to give me 20 min warning, this was the first call to the day so good to know the time of arrival. The service was completed within 45 min and details of the service and outcome communicated well. Payment was easy by card direct with the engineer.

Fantastic!
I have honestly never dealt with such an efficient, fair and honest company. From the first point of contact, everybody from 1st Call Gas Services were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Work was completed quickly by a very friendly engineer who took the time to talk me through what he was doing and was respectful while in my home. By the time he was done, you'd never have known he was there (apart from the new radiator!). Really impressed and extremely grateful, thanks again!

Broken boiler.
I reported my broken boiler to 1st Call at 10 this morning. They said they would see if yhey could rearrange some jobs to get to me asap. Fifteen minutes later an engineer phoned to say he could be at my house in 20 minutes. He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem as a faulty pump. He had the pump replaced and the boiler working again by lunchtime. I still can't believe how fast and efficient 1st Call were.

I had a new boiler fitted 6 yrs ago and rang the manufacturer to do the first service. The engineer did the work ok but was a bit offhand and the company didn't clean the type of filter I’d also had fitted. As a new boiler, it was clean, easily accessible at waist height so it didn’t take him long but I thought the cost was on the high side. Since then I’ve always used 1st Call Gas Services Ltd to do the annual service. I saw their full page, eye catching ad in my local free magazine. They always answer the phone promptly and politely, plus they tell me the cost of the service, also advising that I can pay by card or cash. I’ve never had to ask and to date it hasn’t differed from what I was told. The engineers have always been prompt and use disposable footwear covers at all time. They are professional yet friendly and are happy to answer any questions I might have. Before leaving they ensure the radiators are hot and don’t need bleeding. Their service is excellent and as long as they are trading I won’t be using anyone else to service/repair my boiler. I’d recommend the company to anyone.

Replace Radiators
I asked 1st Call Gas back to my property to replace three old radiators with new more efficient ones. The whole process from initial survey through to completion was excellent, and the price was reasonable too. The fitter, Kile, kept me informed and involved throughout the install which was not without its challenges. He consulted me eat very step to ensure the finish result was suitable and left my home clean & tidy.

Excellent Firm
My boiler lost pressure 3 times in a few days so I rang 1st Call Gas, who installed the boiler 2 years ago. An engineer came out 2 days later. Before looking at he boiler, he said he would check the radiators. The first one he checked had a slight leak! This had affected the system and reduced boiler pressure. He fitted a new valve and showed me where it was faulty. I was impressed with his care and professionalism. Before coming into the house he put covers over his boots, too. I paid by card on a hand held machine. It was all so easy!

While this was only a routine service, the engineer was really helpful in resolving an issue that had been concerning us. A quick change on the boiler settings and a bit of helpful advice and it was all resolved. The service itself was done with speed and efficiency.

Repair leak on central heating
Excellent service. Kile arrived on time, was friendly, courteous and thoughtful, always removing his shoes when moving around the house on carpets. The leak on the central heating was in an awkward place where pipes emerged from a concrete floor in the pantry, with two joints close together, and other pipes immediately behind. There was an added problem that the joints featured 12mm and 8mm micro bore pipes. 12mm piping is no longer available. However Kile sorted out how to use a 12mm to 15mm connector on the feed pipe, then replace two joints with 15mm to 8mm feeds, and made a clean connection on the four cuts he had to make. The work took several hours but the system is now working fine.

Yearly Service
This is now the fifth time that this company has entered my home... once to install my boiler and 4 yearly services since. Every single tradesman has been polite and very courteous giving great respect to their surroundings . Kyle was the lastest to come around to do the servicing of our boiler and again we were more than happy with the work carried out and the friendly manner in which it was done. The staff at their offices should also receive a mention for their helpfulness and friendly manner when you call them.... great company.

Great service
David was great, called to check if he could pop in earlier than scheduled, checked everything in the boiler, cleaned valves and retested etc and was on hand whilst I called the boiler makers to discuss replacement of parts under warranty. He was polite, knowledgeable and answered all my questions patiently. 1st Call Gas Services have been great every time I've booked them. I would highly recommend to anyone.

1st Call are First Rate
1st Call installed the boiler a year ago.It has worked perfectly since then,and they have just done its first service. The engineer contacted me on the day of the service to say he could come early due to some cancellations,so we agreed the new time. He came,carried out the service,explained what he had done and that everything was normal. He was polite and efficient,and charged me the amount I had been quoted when I booked the service. He filled in the service record,which was also sent to me as an email attachment along with a receipt.

Always great service and good work!
I have been using 1st Call Gas for several years now and they never disappoint. They have installed two boilers for me (two different properties!), changed radiators and done annual services, always attending on time and providing efficient service. First experience, no problems, easier than expected.
My first interaction with a gas boiler service, having recently bought a property and receiving a letter in the post from 1st call to remind me that the next service was due (the service log did confirm it had been installed and subsequently annually serviced late Feb each year by this same company). I phoned up, and was able to schedule an appointment in the next week with great flexibility to meet my work schedule. I did later need to rearrange that and it was no problem (there was a slight mistake with the scheduling on their part, but it was quickly resolved). The engineer arrived on time, fully stripped and cleaned the boiler and performed some additional checks (the roof from outdoors and via the attic) and also answered a few questions that I had. Only, minor, complaint was that the engineer emptied something cleaned out of the boiler into the bathroom sink (black dust and dead wasps). They forgot to wash it down the sink, so I had to do that myself after they'd left.

The usual excellent service
We've used 1st Call Gas Services for a number of upgrades to our CH system and they have always been excellent. This was a call to carry out a routine boiler service and replace a faulty pressure switch and was carried out quickly and efficiently.
