We have just had new double glazed windows installed. Really pleased with them. The engineers did a great job. Vey polite, took great care when fitting and cleared away any debris. Very professional. Would definitely recommend this company. Thank you to all at 1st independent.

I had nine double glaze windows fitted, 1x bay window, 1x French door and 7x Bevelled sealed units, work completed 7th March 2025. Most of the work was completed within one month of placing the order. The full service had a personal touch, Michael was very attentive to my requirements and gave advice which help me in my decision making on choice of product. When the incorrect window handle was fitted on one unit, he arrived immediately on the same day with the correct one. The fitters arrived on time and carried out the work with lot of care. My home was left clean. The windows, door and fittings are of good quality, and I appreciate the personal service offered by this family run business. The work was done to the agreed budget with no extra addition. The Bevelled units were delay but once I contacted them, a valid explanation was given. I also had a glass damage on one of my internal doors as a result of the wind when the entry doors were open for taking in the materials. This was replaced without any issues. I would have given 5* for Customer Service if I didn't have to call regarding the delay Bevelled unit. All documents and contracts are professional done and I have received all certification and guaranteed insurance. I would highly recommend 1st Independent Windows Ltd.

We replaced our old back door with a new one, and our second front door with a window. They did an outstanding job, very professional, clean and tidy. The products installed are fantastic and we are very pleased with the result. We strongly recommend them.

1st Independent were recommended to us by a family member and although we got a couple of local quotes as we live in Ashford we decided to go with 1st Independent. We are really glad we did. The installer was professional, courteous and conscientious. There was no damage done at all to our newly plastered walls. All work was cariiedf out in one day and all rubbish cleared up and taken away. The quality of the windows and the front door are really good. Everyone comments on how lovely our front door is. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else.

This local company was highly recommended by friends and family. Very professional and friendly company to deal with, from no-nonsense, best-price quote, through Corona virus lockdown delay, to fitting. The price was very competitive and advice and suggestions helpful. The entire installation was completed in 5 days, including 2 bay windows and french doors. My main concern was potential damage to decor. I was amazed that there was no internal damage at all, including two tiled areas and restricted access beside a fitted wardrobe. I am so pleased with the high quality of the composite door, much better than I expected. There was minimal making good externally throughout and very professionally finished. Overall, I'm delighted with my home improvement investment and glad I chose 1st Independent.

Window + back door was fitted by Kane 18/6/21 he arrived 8.30. It was pouring with rain, I went off to work when I came home, job finished, no mess. I'm very happy with the result, and very happy with Kanes work he had to work in the rain, I recommend 1st Independent windows they are excellent 10 out of 10.

1st independent windows came to quote and gave a competitive price. What impressed me most was the knowledge shown and willingness to answer all my questions. It was an easy decision to go with them. They lived up to expectation. Communication was excellent. They were on time and friendly, working hard to get the job done. I had a composite front door installed and a upvc with cat flap back door. Both were installed to High standard with beautiful finishing. Lovely team. Would highly recommend them.

We have used this family firm before and knew of the quality of their service and products. James the fitter arrived promptly and was a diligent worker. He left the site clean and tidy. We were particularly pleased with the way he offered suggestions to some additional trim which was required. A good product and good job well done.

The installation team came promptly on the day, and worked hard to keep to schedule. The windows are what we expected and are keeping us warm! Communication was easy and even a crack that happened during installation was remedied quickly and without fuss.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend !st Independent windows to anyone who asks who built your Porch. They fitted my windows six years ago, so was my 1st choice to build my Porch. I found them to be a joy, as they were efficient, friendly, polite, also giving me some very good and wanted advice. Oh !!! such tidy workers too.

Although work was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, every effort was made to ensure work was completed satisfactorily. The door was fitted efficiently and the fitter ensured that I was familiar with the locking System. Further support was offered if needed. The finish surrounding the door is very good and adds to the attractiveness of the door.

The works comprised the removal of existing doors and the installation of two sets of aluminium bifold doors. After a slightly frustrating leading period for fabrication, which was unavoidable, I received a delivery date which was adhered to. I was worried that the removal of the existing doors might cause substantial damage but that was completely avoided. The work was carried out in an exemplary manner by two competent and very pleasant fitters. I am really pleased with the final product and finish. It has made a big improvement to my house at what I considered to be a competitive price. I would definitely use them again.

I would highly recommend 1st independent windows for new window installation. Their quote was very competitive, they were very responsive and helpful (particularly giving us advice about a faulty lock on a UPVc door that saved us having to have it replaced). There were 3 workmen installing 5 windows including 2 bay windows. They arrived promptly, were extremely polite, worked very hard and left no mess. The work was scheduled for 4 days but completed in less than 3 days. Highly recommended as a small family firm.

A very competitive quote for replacing 2 x large bay windows, side window and installing new French doors. Extremely thorough and professional with no hard sell. Fitting took place over 3 days by two installers who worked non-stop from the minute they arrived. Despite some challenging old Victorian brick-work and non-straight walls, they did a fantastic job, both internally and externally. The finish was excellent and the difference it has made to both the noise level and thermal efficiency is incredible - it made us realise how bad the old windows actually were! Really can't fault the service - the price quoted was exactly what we paid and we're more than pleased with the results. Highly recommended.

From initial visit to the full installation 1st Indepedent have a been great. Michael was very responsive via email regarding the visit, the quote, and scheduling of the work. Katie was a polite and attentive point of contact that also helped with booking the work and snagging. Katie had responded to every email we have sent in a timely manner. Lastly the installer James, was friendly, conscientious and very detail oriented. He was upfront regarding any issues he had and resolved all snags swiftly. Windows and doors look amazing, top workmanship. Highly recommend this company.

We had all our windows replaced. We were very happy with 1st Independent throughout the process. From the initial survey, through the two week fitting with and through to the completion of snags there work was always too quality, considerate and responsive to our requests. We were so pleased with the workmanship and customer service that we received from Ist Independent Windows Ltd. We have a period property and I was nervous about replacing the original crittal windows but the result is fabulous both from an aesthetic perspective and from an energy saving one. No two windows were the same size but the team talked us through the design phase so that we were assured that we would have the best outcome. Phil turned up on time, looked at what we required and gave us a very competing quote, with no pressure to accept. Gave us details of neighbouring properties we could visit to check their work, which we did. Kevin turned up on time to complete the actual measurements and did it within the timescale he said he would. Mike, the fitter, was just unbelievable turning up each day at 08-00 and finishing at 17-00/17-30 to make sure our property was secure each day. Work was completed within the 4 days we were advised it would take. Mike also tidied up each day and cleared all rubbish on the last day. An extremely professional and hard working fitter. Katie in the office was also a delight to deal with. Overall we are delighted with our new windows and can't thank 1st Independent enough for a non-pressure sale, a very competitive price and very professional installation.
