The last job 1st Independent has done for me is to fit windows and French doors in my new 3 bedroom house . The service they offered was great from the first call to the final installation. But Hey, I didn’t expect anything else, as they are one of the few companies that have stood the test of time. They fitted the first set of windows in my house 15 years ago, their service was great then and they have worked on installations for me over the years. Always good competitive pricing, fast service and clean and efficient installers – why go anywhere else!

Very pleased with our new windows and front door. Tina who runs the office was most helpful and very speedy in responses. We had quite a bit of back and forth before we got started (my fault) and both Tina and Kevin were very helpful. There was no hard sell and Kevin and his son were able to measure up and provide a quotation within 20 minutes. The work itself has been carried out brilliantly and to a very high standard (I am a surveyor myself so believe I have a good eye for the quality of the work). The previous windows were quite badly installed and much of the building masonry had to be repaired to install the new windows, 1st Independent did this to an exceptional standard. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and have done so already to quite a few of my friends looking for new glazing for their homes.

We have used 1st Independent several times now and have always been really happy with the results. Quotes are competitive without any hard sell. On this occasion they replaced our large kitchen window and the job was done in very quick time and without any damage at all to the tiles or bricks surrounding the window. Also really impressed at the steps the fitter took to prevent dust and mess.

1st Independent Windows recently fitted bi-folds doors and 4 windows to my extension. Pricing was competitive, quality was excellent, and service was prompt and friendly. A pleasure to do business with - recommended.

1st Independent came recommended by 2 separate friends and were 1 of 4 quotes that we received. Survey was great with the owner coming out and sharing his extensive knowledge and experience. No hard sell at all. Very competitive quote and those all important recommendations meant with went with this small local company. Really pleased. Windows and new doors look fantastic and come with long guarantees. Installation team were a pleasure to have in the house and really grafted. Kept us updated on progress, what they were doing and when. Really good job with no complaints at all. Plenty of communication from the office too. Had issues with 2 locks which were not quite working as they should and a couple of windows that had imperfections. Installation team highlighted this and arranged replacements immediately. Great standards of attention to detail.

1st Independent Windows replaced my old wooden framed double glazed windows with new uPVC double glazed windows. The new windows look good, and there is a noticeable reduction in traffic noise from the main road. The room feels warmer. I'm very happy with the end result, the overall process from survey to installation, and communication with the company.

Spent a good amount of time / energy trying to find a installer we could trust for our job with initial consultations and quotations with large and small businesses - once we found 1st Independent it was a clear choice, great communication, value and great knowledge/guidance a pretty flawless experience. Despite being the cheapest, their workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail were top-notch. Michael and Katie, with whom I originally communicated, were easy to work with and incredibly accommodating. They promptly addressed any minor issues that arose and followed through on all their promises. This family-run business in Chislehurst is exceptional, and I highly recommend their services. After conducting a thorough search throughout the borough, I can confidently say that no other company comes close. The fitters, James and George, were outstanding. Their craftsmanship was truly remarkable, and they were a pleasure to interact with. They were courteous, tidy, hardworking, professional, and committed to ensuring our satisfaction throughout the entire process. They worked diligently, regardless of the weather conditions, and never complained. We are immensely grateful for their efforts. As someone who has recently lost my Dad to Alzheimer's, it has been challenging to entrust workmen with maintaining our home, as my Dad always took care of everything. This is the fourth time we have used 1st Independent Windows for our double glazing needs and have always been delighted with the results. This time we had five windows and a front door fitted. A thoroughly professional, yet friendly team from a small family run business. Excellent service from first enquiry to completion of the work. Great attention to detail with nothing too much trouble. 1st Independent windows replaced all our original sash windows with double-glazed pvc sashes as well as installing sliding and bifold doors. Everything was completed to a high standard and all the installers were excellent. Highly recommend this firm.

I had a door/window put in a bedroom, and the last work done on 5th September 2025 was replacing blown windows that had been put in by a previous supplier 25 years previously. A builder who viewed the window/door work commented on how well it had been done. The two chaps who completed this work were very pleasant and completed the job promptly. I have used 1st Independent over recent years. A new porch was put on to replace the existing glass, a bedroom window was replaced, and patio doors were installed in my garden. All these jobs are superb, and no problems were encountered. I cannot rate or recommend this company highly enough.

The work undertaken, to completely refit double glazed windows, was executed on time and to a high specification. Windows were fitted to the rear and front of my house over two floors. All old windows were removed by the suppliers and work was completed over a day, leaving the house extremely tidy. I would highly recommend Independent Windows to other users.

After watching several episodes of 'White Gold' I was very apprehensive with engaging a double glazing company for my needs. Great family run business. If you want windows replaced ring this firm first. Kevin gave me a very competitive quote and said the windows would be ready in a month. Mike the fitter arrived at 8am and took just over 3 days to fit 8 windows including a large bay window. There was no fuss or mess. Excellent from start to finish and would definitely recommend them as they were recommended to me.
