Very efficient and courteous service. We had a new back door installed after we'd moved to a property that already had windows supplied by 1st Independent. The technician arrived well within the 8 week lead time we'd been quoted and he finished a very professional installation job in a couple of hours. Couldn't be happier.

1st Independent Windows were recommended to us by friends. From the first meeting Phil was really helpful - you can tell he knows his stuff! We’ve recently moved in to an Edwardian property and wanted to replace the old style pvc windows with sash pvc windows. Phil completely understood that we wanted the windows to be in keeping with how the house would have looked originally. The quote was really competitive and it was very easy to arrange a date for installation. The installation itself went very well! We are so pleased with the finished result! Just cannot speak highly enough of 1st Independent windows if I tried! Kevin gave a very competitive and prompt price to replace all windows and doors in the house with no pressure at all to make a decision. Ally the fitter said it would take 7 days to complete the work and was spot on. He was most trustworthy, efficient and polite at all times and I was amazed how clean and tidy it was at the end of each day as he even hoovered !! Used 1st Independent Windows to replace existing double glazing at front of house including bay windows. They attended to survey swiftly and issued competitive quote within a couple of days. They applied absolutely no sales pressure. The work was done within the proposed time frame and was completed in two days as expected. The work was carried out competently, with no significant mess. I requested four quotes for our new windows, 1st Independent Windows were a recommendation through a local network group. Their price was competitive and Philip was very helpful with the type of windows we wanted, he provided several quotes on several designs. The final product is everything we had hoped for, the windows are top quality and the guys that fitted them were very professional. The fitting service was extremely clean and tidy. We had a complete refit of all external doors and windows. The team at Ist Independent Windows took care with all aspects of the work, from first site visit to confirm measurements and specifications for their quote through the installation and final snag resolution. This applied as much to the installation team as the back office staff with both teams ensuring that the work was completed to a high standard. Clearly this is a company for whom service is key to customer satisfaction.

I have used Independent Windows twice. Once for the installation of three glass doors, including some French windows. Both times they have been excellent with tidy and hardworking workmen (indeed George this time even brought his own refreshments so never even need to provide drinks ). Their prices also seemed reasonable, especially as the job I had done this time around was difficult – it included replacing two windows in an extremely dusty attic with poor access and a dodgy ladder but Goerge coped with all that and finished on time. Independent Windows is a small family firm based in Chislehurst, Kent; yet they were also prepared to travel to my home in Surrey. they promise “no one will do it better’ on their marketing lettercard. I am certainly well pleased.

We first used 1st Independent Windows over 10 years ago, to replace windows in a rental flat we own. Unfortunately, there was a fire at the flat and one of the windows needed to be replaced. When I contacted the office they still had the original measurements and was able to put an order in without having to visit the site. The window was installed ahead of schedule, on budget and was an excellent job. We will definitely use them again and can thoroughly recommend them. It's nice to use a local business.

From requesting a quote through to completion of the job, I can't fault the service. I had a uPVC backdoor fitted and was genuinely surprised by how quick the turnaround was.

The 1st Independent team were superb in terms of advice and workmanship. They were friendly, understanding and patient as this installation was for my 73 year old Aunt. The budget for the 4 sets of high quality double glazed windows was very affordable. Their tradesman (Rob) kept to the schedule of this two day piece of work and swept up after the work was finished and also took away the old windows which were replaced. Overall a really good family owned business. We have already shared to some friends their details for future possible work.
