About
My name is Stephen and have been working in the gas industry for 18 years, 15 of these years being with British Gas, where i have received the best training available in the industry, not to mention the invaluable experience in the field.
In 2017 i decided to take the plunge and set up my own business, please find below a brief description of what we offer and what we are about.

We offer a professional, friendly, trustworthy and knowledgable service, that helps you keep you home warm, working and efficient.
We specialise in breakdowns and repairs to gas/LPG and Oil central heating boilers, central heating systems, unvented cylinders, fires, cookers, warm air units and water heaters both domestic and commercial.
In addition to this I'm able to offer an installation service of the aforementioned appliances, unvented cylinders, powerflushing, upgrades, landlord certs and all the important annual appliance service.

We called 1st Fix when my parents boiler stopped working. We are 100 miles away and so could not respond directly. Simon went round the same day, did a temporary fix and diagnosed the issues. He went round and did the repairs within 3 days. He kept us fully informed of the issues and what he was doing. He was a life saver for both us and my parents. He was responsive, friendly, approachable and reasonable. I would definitely use him again if my parents had any issues with their boiler and would recommend him to others.

So good to finally get a professional and reliable gas engineer. He gives you an itemised quote, turns up on time and sorts the problem in hand. Then you receive all the relevant paperwork including invoice and certificate by email. I have used them 3 times in the last 12 months for servicing and upgrades and have found brilliant service on all 3 occasions

1stTimeFix installed a new boiler for my dad the start of Dec 2020. Turned up on time and very courteous and explained everything to my dad. Workmanship was excellent, tidied up before he went and made sure all rubbish was removed. Completed all the paperwork for me and sent it off. Emailed invoice and all paperwork. This is a company I had just picked from a search on the internet and I will definitely be using again.

We had a new boiler fitted. This trader had originally repaired our old boiler to keep it running as it was very old and advised us to consider a new one. We got quotes from two other companies before we chose this trader as we felt they had been reliable and trustworthy. The fitting of the boiler was done to a high standard, very tidy work. We have since had a radiator replaced and a service done on the boiler and remain very happy with the work of this trader.
