Luke responded to my initial enquiry straight away and was round to quote on the agreed day and I received the quote the same week. Due to a leak and a number of slipped/broken tiles I needed a full felt and batten but being an older end terrace I also wanted the tiles to blend in with my neighbours. Luke managed to source some good reclaimed tiles and any new tiles were as close a match as possible and the finished product is exactly what I was hoping for. The price quoted was what I paid and throughout the job the team were happy to answer all my questions and Luke kept me updated throughout. The scaffolding company they use (Access Scaffolding) were also fast, efficient and friendly. I’m happy to recommend and will use again without hesitation.

We contacted Aline on a recommendation from friends as we had a leak coming in. The end cap of the dormer guttering had fallen away and although we are planning more works later in the year, this was a small but urgent job. Luke from Aline came back to us the same day as we contacted him, requested some details and photos from which he gave us a quote. Luke and Phil were able to attend within the week, quickly and competently fixed the gutter and were extremely helpful and polite. They gave advice on the condition of the roof, showed and explained things that were right and wrong with it however no pressure or selling push was made, simply clearly discussed information. I was very impressed with them and will be approaching them for a quote when we can get the other works undertaken.

From my first meeting with Luke, to promptly receiving my quote, to the job being completed quickly, efficiently and to a high standard, I have been very impressed with Aline Roofing. Work was scheduled quickly as the roof was leaking into my bedroom. Scaffolding was erected to the rear of my property, concrete removed and replaced with lead around the chimney and some roof and hip tiles replaced. Luke has subsequently checked with me that all is well after heavy wind and rain.

Following water getting into our internal walls, Luke came out to look at the job and gave us three quotations, the work depending on what was found. In the event the valley lead was replaced with rubber and several new tiles were laid. Luke was very good at keeping us in the picture, and most importantly the roof was made watertight before another bout of heavy rainfall. Any more roof work I would be more than happy to use Luke again.

Luke and his team carried out a range of maintenance tasks on our roof - repointing ridge tiles, verges and flashings, and clearing moss. They were professional, efficient and friendly. And even coped with attacks from a couple of wasp nests without any complaints! The work was completed within the time frame that Luke gave in his quote, including various additional tasks that were identified during the work. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Luke and his team did a great job repointing sections of my 19th century house. They took great care of the materials used and even fixed a few broken roof tiles for me in the quote. I was unable to be there on the day but Luke was communicative throughout and upon my return I was very happy with all the work undertaken in my absence. I'll have them back for sure.

We recently purchased a very old building which had a roof that leaked in from several areas causing extensive damage to the internal walls and ceilings in the house. Aline roofing did a survey on the roof prior to the purchase which was helpful in identifying the roof’s defects. We decided to use Aline roofing to overhaul and repair the roof for three reasons: 1. They are a local firm with a good reputation. 2. They are members of the Which Trusted Trader organisation. 3. They are members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. The above gave us confidence and a degree of security in deciding who to use for the important work of making the roof watertight. The list of work which they did on the roof is quite long and included new lead flashing around the chimneys, new facia, repairs to all verges, replacement of Cotswold stone ridge tiles, repointing chimneys, partial rebuilding and venting of one chimney stack, fitting a new chimney pot, removing ivy from the roof and walls and making good the damage that it had caused, repairing areas of render, etc., etc. Aline roofing made a very good job of all the roof work. It was completed in a timely fashion. The firm is led by Luke and he has a team of experienced roofers to assist. We found him and his team to be skilled in what they were doing and also very helpful, cooperative and pleasant. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.

On inspection once up on the roof, there was more that needed doing than was covered by the initial quote, but Luke explained the extra work and provided an additional quote. Scaffolding was supplied. Broken tile replaced, ridge tiles reset and repointed, plus other tiling and repointing work. Moss cleared. Luke and his team completed all work efficiently and tidied up afterwards. Luke went to some effort to source the required replacement tiles needed to match the existing tiles. I needed some mesh inserted into the eaves to stop birds trying to peck their way in. Luke responded promptly with a solution, came when he said he would and appeared efficient and professional - a pleasure to do business with.

We had a tile missing and a couple of loose weather boards, as well as two minor leaks. Luke was very helpful identifying the cause of the leaks and the work was completed quickly and professionally. We recently moved into an older property which required one side of a pitched roof to be re-tiled and a leaking first-floor flat roof to be replaced. We also wanted the whole roof to have its heavy moss growth removed. Luke came to quote when asked and provided a quote that he stuck to. We were warned in advance that there might be remedial work required under the flat roof once he was able to access it. The expected additional costs to the damage caused by water ingress were also swiftly quoted on and kept to. The pitched roof was completed quickly and looks great, with all felt, battens and tiles being replaced. All mess was cleared as the works went along. The moss was removed and the roof treated to slow down any regrowth. The flat roof required a lot of work, including new rafters. These were replaced swiftly and expertly, the roof boarded, insulated and weatherproofed whilst work was ongoing - no leaks despite it being winter and very windy. Luke and the lads laid a rubber-type membrane to replace the old tar and felt, which is guaranteed for years. The end result is a great and neat looking job all round and we are very pleased with the outcome. Roofing is never cheap and Aline quoted in the middle of the three quotes we obtained. A friendly, professional outfit, all the crew were helpful and polite. They appreciate a cup of coffee along the way, white, one sugar all round.

I contacted Luke by phone asking if he could look at the roof of a property I was selling as it looked as if there had been a leak. He went round the same day, told me of the problems (|cracked roof tile and coping stones needing replacing). He has since got scaffolding erected and the job done quickly and effectively despite there having been 3 storms in the interim. I have not met Luke but he sent photos of the defective aspects of the roof and I would thoroughly recommend him and his team.

We had experienced an ongoing issue with our chimney which the developer had failed to properly diagnose and put right. We decided to spend our own money on the work and Aline were highly recommended by a satisfied customer. We were very pleased with their approach. Luke and his team did an excellent job replacing the top of our chimney and giving the whole roof some much needed TLC ( Ridge, gullies, valleys all needed repair/repointing). The team were friendly and tidy and we’re happy with the quality of the work.

We had a bad leak at the joint between our flat kitchen roof and the house wall in high winds with driving rain. Luke from Aline inspected and quickly found various problems with the construction which would allow rain to penetrate in stormy weather. The EPDM rubber membrane on the flat roof was correctly run up the wall by a few inches however it was not bonded to the wall and water could easily get behind it. This unbonded joint was covered by lead flashing however this was poorly fitted and the pointing loose and crumbling at various places. Aline stripped back the entire joint, bonded EPDM to the wall, repaired and refitted lead securely and repointed all affected areas. They also dressed and repointed a load of coping stones where the mortar was crumbling. The work was carried out thoroughly and professionally and explained to me throughout. All areas were left clean afterwards- even hosed down. Great job. Delighted with Luke and Pov.

Builders who had not been able to locate the source of a leak in my kitchen roof recommended that I source a roofing company to take advice on potential causes. Aline Roofing was recommended to me and Luke identified a number of potential factors that may be contributing to the problem and proposed a schedule of work. I have dealt with many tradespeople and Luke is amongst the best. Communicated well, delivered on all commitments and ran a tight tidy job. I definitely recommend his services and both my neighbours have subsequently booked jobs with Aline Roofing based on the quality of the work they observed.

Aline Roofing did a good job of overhauling my roof. The job included replacing broken or missing tiles, repointing and fixing the ridge and hip tiles. The roofers were always polite, worked tidily and turned up at the agreed time. At the end of the job the roof was left looking good and there was no mess left behind.

I contacted Luke Williams of Aline Roofing Ltd in mid-July as I had a leak in the larger garage roof. The company was advertised in a local monthly Advertiser and looked at the Which? and Trusted Trader reviews which were also very positive. We agreed to meet a couple of days later and I received his quote within 24 hours. We confirmed his quote We confirmed his quote on Friday 17th July which he acknowledged by return. Luke said he would try and carry out the work as soon as he could in view of the existing leak. Work started in the morning of Tuesday 28th July and finished on Thursday afternoon 30th July. Luke and his team worked very hard and efficiently. The team cleared up very well and left the skip to be collected the next day which was removed without difficulty. We cannot fault the team's excellent work and the roofs have been completed to a very good standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Luke and Aline Roofing Ltd as a good efficient company

Aline came well recommended but my roofing issues were a little more complex than the usual sort of problems that occur. The problems were investigated, understood and then resolved as soon as the required replacement products were available. Whilst on site I was helped out with some unrelated issues that needed resolution. A very professional and helpful group of guys. If you have roofing issues this is the company for you.

We contacted Luke to clean and repair the roof on our newly bought house, it was covered with moss and a few tiles were cracked. We also wanted the gutters cleaned and a down pipe moved. The work was done efficiently and they cleared up after themselves very well. There was some delay as Pov injured his hand on the first day in the most appalling weather and so we had to wait a few days for the work to be completed. We are very pleased with the result and would recommend Luke and his team for roof and guttering repairs.

We used Aline roofing to repair some missing tiles that came off in a storm in February. From the moment I contacted Luke at Aline roofing I knew I was dealing with a professional. He instantly replied to any query I had. He was able to arrange a quote through pictures of the roof which saved a lot of time and it was very competitive. The work was completed very quickly and to an exceptionally high standard. This covers two jobs that Luke has done for me, the first a recovering a slightly sloping, felt covered concrete roof. Luke advised on the best material to use, which was a liquid rubber product. The work was completed in a timely way, looks really good and seems to stay new looking. There was no mess, everything left very tidy and Luke and Pov were very professional, presentable and friendly. As a result of this work I asked for a quote to repair and repoint a chimney on mine and my neighbours roof. This work was also carried out to a high standard and from the ground it is difficult to spot the replacement bricks used on the top corner, albeit the originals are about 100 years old. Would highly recommend Luke and A line Roofing.

Luke Williams & his team at Aline Roofing are not only very efficient roofing contractors they are also friendly good humoured likeable fellows and the work was carried out smoothly and they made every effort to tidy up everything each evening. We can say that in every respect they are an excellent choice for any thing to do with roofing. We had a long gully which was leaking which has been repaired beautifully. It was not an easy task. Also a quite long ridge has been pointed and a few ridge caps replaced by new ones. Again the works beautifully accomplished.

Luke and Dave have carried out various jobs at my house from sealing a leaking bay window , replacing original facia and guttering on the main house , renewing facia and soffits on the garage and fitting new facia soffits and guttering to extension and sunroom . Each job had its restrictions due to the ongoing building work and scaffold being in the way , but despite this I always knew when they were coming and was consulted every step of the way - including when they discovered the main house had deteriorated beyond what was expected . The advice they provided to ensure the repair was robust was not only demonstrative of their high standards but came for free - the extra work being of a very reasonable incremental price too. They do a good quality job , are conscientious , clean and tidy up afterwards I still have further work that is needed and will not go anywhere else for it to be done . Luke Williams of Aline Roofing Ltd is very efficient and wholly trustworthy. He responds promptly to a request for help and does his best to carry out the work as soon as possible thereafter. His work is carried out to a high degree of craftsmanship. You could probably get lower quotes than his but I think that, with roofing work, it is much more important to employ someone whom you can trust will deliver an excellent job than to go for cheap alternatives.

Following his request for photos of the problem areas which I sent he emailed me a quote for the repair. I contacted Luke and arranged a day and time for him to come and complete the repair. He arrived promptly as agreed and started the repair of the seal between the wall and lead flashing. he subsequently found further areas which needed repair which we discussed and he repaired these as well. He emailed me an invoice the next day. Very pleasant and efficient throughout, worked quickly and cleaned up afterwards, brilliant.

You get used to poor service, time keeping and quality, so I'm very pleased to say that Luke and his colleague were first rate, the job was completed on time and at a fair price. Aline Roofing gave me an estimate for repairing three leaks in a gently sloping roof of a garden room in which we spend most of the day throughout the spring, summer and autumn months. They then came and did the work the following day. Aline Roofing was outstanding for the way in which they did the work to replace tiles, felt and battens as well as providing some lead sheeting where necessary. They were a delight to talk to and discuss what needed to be done as they discovered what was necessary. It was wonderful to find that the repaired roof was completely watertight in the heavy rain that fell a few days after they had completed their work.

Had an EPDM roof fitted to replace an old felt roof. Luke was prompt in answering our enquiry and professional in what we needed. He and his team managed to strip the old felt, re-board and get the main roof fitted within one day so we were water tight over night. They then returned next day to install the trims and finish off. Everything was swept and tidy when he left. So impressed with his work have asked him now to quote for replacing the guttering. J Whitaker

I have used LW Roofing several times to repoint a chimney stack, fit a chimney cowl, remove moss, replace missing tiles and even to fit an EPDM roof on a garden shed. Everything was done professionally, at the time quoted, to a high standard and to my complete satisfaction. (2 years on and the shed roof is clearly going to outlast the rest of the shed! )

Luke fitted a very large Velux window. He worked hard to fit it with our schedule, did a nice tidy job and I'm very pleased with the result. Strongly recommend Luke & his assistant.

We had water coming in our chimney causing damp in the loft and living room wall and also along the verge (where the roof meets the end wall) of our bungalow due to the original cement filling cracking. I arranged for Mr Williams to come and access the problem to give me a quote, he arrived on time and accessed the problem very quickly and efficiently. The workman carrying out the repair explained and showed me what the problem with the chimney was. A tidy repair has been made to both the chimney and verge and when they had finished everything was left clean and tidy. I would be very happy to recommend them.
