Installing a heat pump is more complicated than a boiler but AOS were extremely supportive and professional through this process. All the staff I encountered had the same helpful attitude and the standard of the final work was exceptional. First time a plumber has labelled all the consumer facing switches and sockets. Great support with the associated paperwork as well. Very strongly recommend.

AOS installed an air source heat pump. Initial visits were made to ensure we understood the system and how it would work for us. A survey was done with recommendations on what alterations were needed to our existing radiators and hot water tank. No pressure was put on us to go ahead with the work with the result that we had time for reflection. Questions that we had were always answered promptly. An installation date and price were agreed and both were adhered to. The installation team arrived promptly, were knowledgeable, polite, competent and hard working. Once installed, the system was explained fully to us, with a number to phone if there was a problem. There were none and we don't expect there to be, but are confident that AOS will be there for us in that unlikely event.

We contacted AOS on 11th January this year for an initial enquiry about an air source heat pump installation at our house. I had found them on the Which Trusted Traders site and subsequently received a very positive recommendation from a friend who had a heat pump installed by them. From my initial call through to completion of the installation today, we have found the company a pleasure to deal with. Based on our EPC information the staff were able to send me an initial proposal, with some options for us to consider re-replacement of radiators and hot water tank. This document also gave us a very good idea of the whole process but was subject to a full site survey. The surveyor did a very thorough job, explained everything to us clearly and after some further discussions we were sent a firm proposal, which was again thorough and set out all the costs, payment terms and other considerations very clearly. On accepting the proposal a date was arranged for the installation as soon as possible to give us time to apply for the RHI scheme. The installation team arrived at 8am 'on the dot' and completed the complex operation over three and a half days in a highly professional manner, taking great care to protect the flooring and clean up thoroughly after each day's work. I am confident that the after sales service will be as good as our experience with AOS so far suggests, and we would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone considering a heat pump installation.

I was recommended AOS by a friend who had used AOS for the installation of her heat pump, and I am totally satisfied with her recommendation. When I expressed an interest in AOS, someone came to explain what would be involved and when I said I wanted to go ahead, I paid a deposit and someone came to do a full heat-pump survey. I accepted the recommendations of installing new radiators and work started in January. I was told it would last about three days and it did. The men who came seemed very efficient, hard-working, competent and polite and were easy to have around the house. When a different trade, e.g. an electrician was needed he came on time, so there was no hold up. The workmen tidied up each evening and vacuumed thoroughly. I have now been left the paperwork for applying for the RHI. A firm to be thoroughly recommended.

Compared three three air source heat pump installers, one wanted £471 for a survey which would only be taken off the final bill not leaving us with a choice of supplier and they quoted without visiting the property, the second visited and quoted but was a Daikin supplier and the estimated RHI funds would of been lower. The first company also estimated RHI higher than AOS because they quoted a system with higher water temperature. AOS stated they would install at 45 degrees and guarantee temperatures as per the heating engineer survey so the RHI estimate was higher. So we went ahead over four days they removed the old LPG boiler installed the heat pump replaced most radiators and upgraded our electric RCD unit. We had some small issues with the plastering, a leaky value and fine tuning the bathroom temperature but AOS quickly return and fix all these issues. The actual RHI was a just few pence lower than estimated, but significantly higher than other estimates and the one off payment replacement scheme coming in March. The RHI will greatly assist with the electricity bills over the next seven years. So AOS was not perfect but very good and delivered. I was concerned about, reaching the temperatures in the rooms, the hotness of the hot water and the energy consumption. Most rooms exceed targets and the values are turned down, the bathroom makes the target of 20 degrees, now adjustments have been made. The hot is piping hot, the energy consumption seems about right.

Our boiler failed terminally on Boxing Day 2021. We knew our old boiler & pipe work were non standard & more often found in commercial properties & so several companies declined to help. Initial contact with AOS over the Xmas & New year holidays was understandably slow but on Tues 4th Jan 2022 they gave me a survey date of Thur 6th Jan. They arrived on time and despite the unusual setup seemed happy to take on the job & a quote arrived the same day. We feared the worst but it was very reasonable. Work began on 11th Jan & the 1.5 day estimate took 2 days due to the complexity. We are very happy with the result. The engineers were polite, tidy, explained what they were doing & why, took away the old boiler and all rubbish & cleaned up well. They replaced several items they had not specifically quoted for at no extra cost and clearly explained the operating instructions. There were two things that perhaps could have been better. The first was a little confusion over the removal of the old roof flue and tile repair. We thought the engineer said they would do that but it turns out there was some miscommunication & they recommended it be done by a roofing specialist to ensure integrity of the roof tiling. Once explained it was clear & made sense. The other minor issue was we thought the wall filling where the old timer control was removed could have been better.

A neighbour of mine introduced me to AOS and I began my journey switching from Oil to ASHP. I procrastinated about the switch for some time. AOS were patient and always happy to discuss my concerns around pump placement, noise levels, efficiencies, etc. Eventually, I pulled the trigger and AOS were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Every person I’ve spoken to within the company has been friendly, courteous and professional. The install team were fantastic. As for the ASHP, I needn’t have worried, it’s super quiet, keeps the house toasty and quite frankly, I should’ve switched sooner. It’s so quiet we don’t even know it’s on. Our radiators are now quiet too. If you are on the fence then don’t hesitate like I did, you won’t regret it. ASHP works and AOS Heating are without question a company you can trust to ensure you have a great, smooth and trouble free experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have been with this company for the past four years. They installed my boiler hassle free and good value for money. Excellent service and AOS have continued to provide after sales support. If any issues arise they always provide prompt efficient service. First rate company who I cannot fault in any way.

I wanted to replace a boiler with an air source heat pump system. I sought several quotes and weighed up the balance of quality and cost before ultimately going with AOS. This involved installing an Ecodan heat pump, new radiators, a pressurised hot water cylinder, and also replacing a huge amount of the plumbing. I could not be happier with the decision. AOS' engineers (including Lee Wildego) were all excellent, as were the team online (including Charlotte Owen). They were thoughtful and kind, and never patronising about questions. They were thorough and careful. They accommodated a variety of requests wherever they could manage it (including removing a heavy item from the loft and installing a new shower). When the work was done, they left the house in excellent condition. They arranged a follow up check at around a month, which was also excellent. Appropriate covid measures were followed where required. The experience from start to finish was reassuring and highly competent. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend all members of this team.

Everything about the project to replace my old back boiler was excellent. Lee talked us through how we might execute the installation where other companies has just shrugged and said it would be difficult. Patiently explored different options ofr location and pipe runs without just opting for the easiest. Fitting team of (Different) Lee and Brad were extremeley professional, did a very neat job of the installation and most importantly were very respectful of our home. The team was also flexible in that we changed one of the rad specs late in the day but they were very accomodating. I started out a little trepidatious about getting a new installation but am now convinced we did the right thing. Could we have got this done cheaper? I dont know but for the care and professionalism I think we got very good value for money.
