A job well done value for money

I’m 78, have breathing issues for the past two years it has been difficult to walk upstairs. We had a New Simplicity 2000 Stairlift installed two weeks ago. I now wish I had made the decision earlier. It has made a huge difference to my ability to move about my home. We selected Ableword because we had dealt with them in the past and always received value for money, good advice from courteous and knowledgeable staff. In the first instance I called my local Ableworld for advice on having a stairlift installed. I arranged for their engineer to call to give us a quote. We live in a small cottage. The engineer advised us on the most suitable Stairlift and gave us two options, measured up printed off the quotes advising us to think about it and talk to our family for their opinion and call Ableworld when we had made our decision. We decided to proceed and given a four week delivery date. We received a call within two weeks, and it was installed the next day. The engineers Simon and Mark arrived on time. They installed the stairlift with the minimum amount of disruption causing no damage and cleaning up. They were very professional polite and attention to detail was first class. Simon and Mark did not leave until they were confident, I understood how the Stairlift worked, and I could use it safely. The final price was the same as the quotation. I will have no hesitation in recommending Ableworld if you are considering having Stairlift installed or require advice on any mobility.

They were absolutely brilliant. they had a few problems which meant they were working on it all day, but managed to get it to work. They went beyond the call of duty as they came back the next day to double check and adjusted the seat for me. Lovely guys to have around, I couldn't believe the customer service and how thoughtful they were with me.

Drive royal sport scooter
My scooter did not cost anywhere near what it did to fix it by the people I had it from. Please be aware and get a second opinion before Ableworld do fix your scooter. Be aware. Email from Ableworld, Dec 13, 2019, 11:35 AM: Hi Mr Jones, I am sorry for the delay in your quotation but I have been in multiple meetings. As you are urgent, I am sending this quote just briefly by email but I will send you a quote from our till when I get a chance, the quote lasts for 30 days. Our engineers have inspected your Drive Royal Sport scooter. Controller - £371.56. Main loom - £170.12. 100 AMP Battery pair - £943.92. Labour 9hours – 540.00. Special order postage - £7.49. Collection and delivery - £20.00. Total - £2053.09. Please note, our engineers will only carry out these repairs if we replace the 100AMP Batteries due to having to provide a warranty on the work being completed. The batteries will come with a 6 month warranty and the controller and loom will come with a one year parts warranty. If you would like to proceed with this repair, please can you contact your local store at Hanley on 01782 205901 to pay a deposit payment of at least £750, this will allow us to order the parts for you and they normally take 3-5 working days to come in. Before you use these people, get a second opinion.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We understand the quote that was provided appears high, however this is the cost of the parts that needed replacing due to damage caused by previously inadequate parts being used on the scooter. We understand our engineer did call and discuss the quote with you, and we advised you to take the scooter back to where you purchased it from, to ensure they could replace any parts under your warranty. We always try to give our customers the best advice and believe we did so on this occasion. We are sorry you felt the need to raise a complaint with Which TT but appreciate the feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve the service we provide our customers.
