My name is Des and I’m your Chelmsford based loft ladder installation expert. I can help you utilise your loft space by providing quick, easy and affordable loft access and storage solutions.
I can install a loft ladder, loft hatch, loft boarding, insulate and even put in a light, often in just 1 day – no mess, no fuss, just easy access to all that lovely storage space.

This was an excellent service from start to finish. I rang the company they sent a gentleman out to look at our loft and recommend a suitable ladder. No unnecessary sales talk just good honest advice. The ladder was fitted this morning by Pete and Jim. They just arrived did their job, tidied up and left again . No fuss or problems. The company reinsulated and reboarded my loft which was badly needed. The whole experience was very easy. The initial quote from Des was very useful and informative, including not trying to sell me on any products which weren't needed and not replacing existing stuff unnecessarily (e.g. my existing loft ladder and hatch). Phil and Jim were quick and worked to high quality over the two days. They were on time, informative, and polite throughout the installation. Overall I would use this company again without hesitation.

Telescopic ladder and loft hatch fitted in about 90 minutes by Phil and Pete who were friendly and polite. Carpets covered with dust sheets and any mess was cleared up and vacuumed away. How to use the ladder was demonstrated.

Professional service all round. Quick to reply, quote and install loft boarding and ladder. Des kept in touch with updates and time/date leading up to the installation. On the day they arrived on time, laid dust sheets, made little noise, tidied up afterward, asked to inspect the job and showed us how to use the ladder/lights before leaving. Having received 4 quotes for our loft boarding and repair job we chose Access 4 Lofts as they gave us a good price and could get the job done in 3 days that suited us. Des, Phil, Greg and Nick were with us for 2 days (getting the job done a day early) and did a cracking job boarding out our loft spaces, fitting new timber work to sort out some roofing issues and left the place clean and tidy! great work team. What a difference it’s made having the loft boarded, Phil and Greg turned up at 8.30 on Tuesday. Were very polite and very professional kept me informed on how it was all going, cleared up any mess from the sawdust, dust sheets were placed throughout the kitchen and hallway. Wednesday again 8.30 finished as Des quoted day and a half to complete the boarding out absolutely delighted with the transition would highly recommend this company

Very impressed from initial survey to installation. We had a tight space in our bedroom below the hatch and limited space in the loft itself. All the options and possible solutions were discussed at the outset and I couldn't be happier with the final result. Phil & Si arrived promptly and were very hard working and courteous. Dust sheets were put down from our hall, up the stairs and through to the bedroom for access to the loft. When the work was complete the house was spotless.
