My name is Des and I’m your Chelmsford based loft ladder installation expert. I can help you utilise your loft space by providing quick, easy and affordable loft access and storage solutions.
I can install a loft ladder, loft hatch, loft boarding, insulate and even put in a light, often in just 1 day – no mess, no fuss, just easy access to all that lovely storage space.

I would highly recommend Access 4 lofts. Everything went extremely smoothly. Des came round and gave me an honest and detailed survey with no pressure or pushy sales. I managed to get a cancellation and got booked in the following week. Phil and Jim turned up on time to carry out the work, they were very pleasant and professional. I felt comfortable having them in my home. Their Communication was excellent as well as the quality of work, these are two very hard working gentlemen. I could not have asked for the entire process to be any better.

Appointment on time, best solution for work required was explained by Des in detail, quote provided by email within an hour. Pete and Jim, the fitters, arrived on time, were polite and explained what they were going to do. Work and materials of a very high standard, cleaned up after themselves both days and demonstrated new loft ladder fully. I can’t recommend highly enough. Loft ladder and loft boarding.

What a difference it’s made having the loft boarded, Phil and Greg turned up at 8.30 on Tuesday. Were very polite and very professional kept me informed on how it was all going, cleared up any mess from the sawdust, dust sheets were placed throughout the kitchen and hallway. Wednesday again 8.30 finished as Des quoted day and a half to complete the boarding out absolutely delighted with the transition would highly recommend this company

Phil and Jim, two very courteous young men, came to fit a hinged loft hatch and loft ladder. They arrived very punctually, put down floor coverings from front door to job site and proceeded with the job, which was carried out with skill and care. I was shown exactly how the ladder and hatch worked and they cleared up and vacuumed before leaving. I was very pleased indeed with a job done so well. I have been impressed by everything from the initial survey, written quotation and date for the work to be done. I would certainly recommend.

I was very pleased with the quote Des gave me and the way everything was itemised. I was given a date for installation which the installer Jim arrived on time who was very polite, professional and courteous, he worked non stop from the time he arrived. He explained what he was going to install and when he finished the job he took time to explain and show me how things worked. Before leaving he tidied all the mess up in my house. Phil, Jim and Pete did an excellent job in around six hours insulating the loft, boarding about 50%. They adapted the hatch and fitted a three-section ladder. Very pleased and would recommend the service to anyone.

We had a new larger loft hatch and ladder fitted by Access4 lofts. Russell was very professional and ensured that we were happy with the location of the new hatch before proceeding with the work. He completed the job very efficiently and ensured that all working areas in our home were covered with dust sheets before commencing. Russ also took the time to demonstrate the new hatch and how to access and secure the ladder prior to use. Everything was left clean and tidy prior to his departure. Excellent job! Jayden and Ash were polite and professional in asking about any concerns I might have before starting the work. The telescopic loft Ladder and work carried out to an excellent standard, and the loft ladder is of very high quality material. I was given a demonstration how to operate the ladder and felt comfortable enough to operate the ladder minutes after they had left my home. I feel very safe and secured using it. Ash and Jayden tidy and took great care of my property, and took all of the material away with them, and provided an excellent service.

Recently used Access 4 Lofts to board our loft and install lights and a ladder. Great communication with the guys and fantastic price for the work offered along with a lifetime guarantee.
