The gentleman who came to survey and prepare the quotation was the most thorough we'd had, both in discussing our options and the presentation of the quotation itself. We decided to have the loft boarded and have a loft ladder installed. The quotation was clearly set out with each stage being explained and priced. Jed and his team did a brilliant job lining our loft. Since moving in we'd been dealing with lots of dust and dirt falling on our belongings and into our sons bedroom everytime we opened the hatch. They carried out a thorough job and left everything perfectly clean and tidy. Team were polite, friendly and cracked on with an excellent job. Jackson and the team turned up on time and did an excellent job, the loft looked completely transformed. We asked Access4Lofts to come and survey our loft so that we could have a loft ladder installed and the loft boarded. We were told it would take a day to complete the work. Brett came to carry out the survey and although the job required the loft hatch to be moved this was not going to be a problem (surveys from other traders had advised that we would have to move it and then get them out). A week later, Pete and his team came to carry out the work. They were fantastic from the moment they arrived. Very professional, polite and friendly. They talked us through the process thoroughly and happily answered any questions we asked throughout the day. They took the time to explain the products and were very knowledgeable. I had been looking for a company for a while who did a smaller conversion and for storage purposes so I was glad to find Access4Lofts. The whole engagement with Access4Lofts has been first class - from the initial survey and quote through to installation. Craig was exemplary as our fitter. He was very courteous and professional throughout and the standard of his work looks excellent to me. It was also good that as well as fitting improved insulation Access4Lofts also built a boarded area for storage with proper insulation below the boarding. The other companies we approached for insulation did not offer to fit boarding.

The company entirely lived up to its description as a Which? Trusted Trader. The quote following a detailed survey and discussion was thorough, the timekeeping on the day was very good, and the courteous operatives did not pause until the job was done. A secondary job involving insulation of a small ground floor closed loft over part of the kitchen could not be carried out for structural reasons, which were fully explained and discussed.

We needed a loft ladder fitted and the hatch also had to be replaced. Both the man who came to measure up/quote and the one who did the work were courteous and helpful, and communication from the office was also very good. The work was done to a high standard. I should also mention that the other company I’d called to ask for a quote never got back to me despite chasing, in contrast to Access4Lofts who called back quickly.

Very impressed with the whole experience dealing with Access4Lofts. The initial visit for quotation was carried out on the agreed date and explanation of proposed works described in detail. Day of installation, the team arrived on time and worked almost non-stop, until completion. All work was carried out in a very professional manner. Access4Lofts recently carried out insulating and boarding my loft, work also included renewing the loft hatch cover and installing a telescopic ladder. The surveyor was very thorough, and I received a quote later that same day. I was pleased with the price which in my view was reasonable. I had a couple of queries before the work started, but found their administration team efficient and helpful, I always received a reply to my query either that same day or the following day. On the day, the 2 installers turned up on time, they were very polite and courteous and treated my house with respect, putting down dust sheets upstairs and downstairs. They were nice guys and I felt comfortable with them being in my house, they worked very hard during the day and only took a couple of short breaks. They followed the scope of the work without any problems and in my view were experienced and skilled in their field. The work was all completed within one day and afterwards, they cleaned up thoroughly and showed me how the hatch and ladder operated. The work was completed within the scope of the quote and according to my budget. I'm still sorting 'stuff', but it's brilliant to be able to access the loft without having to balance on a step ladder, plus of course having boarding and shelving to store things sensibly. I also don't have to worry about making a wrong move and going through the ceiling below! Overall, I'm extremely pleased and would recommend A4L.

A4lofts gave us an estimate that covered all work. All work was carried out on time the fitter was extremely efficient and very tidy leaving no dust or debris when he left the site. Access4Lofts insulated and partially boarded my loft and installed a loft ladder. Everything was efficiently done and the job was completed in less time than originally estimated. They ensured that I could operate the ladder and access the loft before winding up. Friendly, helpful tradesmen who cleaned up well before finishing. An excellent job. There was, however, one hitch before the work was done. The original estimate had to be amended because an item had been omitted. They did, however, phone for my approval before sending the amended invoice.

We did two lofts on the same day with different specs. From our initial inquiry to fitting and clean up was 4 days! They came right on time and did the survey on Tuesday 5th July, gave us a few options for each of the lofts which we agreed in principle. The quote came the same evening. After agreeing to the quote they found us a space to do the fitting the next day, Thursday the 7th. Arrived on time at 09:00 and were gone by 14:00. You wouldn't have known anyone had been in either room as the cleaning up was so good. All the staff we dealt with were very professional, shoe covers etc. On the phone they were quick to answer and get the correct person to give you a callback. The payment was after they had finished the work and you had been shown how each ladder came down and put away.

I would recommend these guys without any reservation! They were so professional. Really lovely couple of guys came and removed all old insulation, replaced with new eco insulation and boarded my loft and very kindly moved the loft ladder that was already there so it was easier to use. Access4Lofts answered the initial email a big plus. Then phoned after I expressed interest. The surveyor came at the time arranged. He explained all that would be required, listened to our concerns and noted the extra work we requested. A date was set for the work to be carried out. The young man arrived absolutely on time. He had the notes from the survey and all necessary materials. An electrician followed, as requested, to sort through and tidy up a myriad of wires. Dust sheets were laid and the work quickly commenced. He worked continuously for two days. There was minimal dust, a bit of noise, no disruption to the workings of the house. He was delightful, friendly and courteous at all times. On completion, he explained all the work carried out and we could see our requests had all been met.

Fitted our loft ladder. Estimate carried out carefully and we were kept fully informed. The access was tricky but all problems solved. Very pleasant fitter who carried the work out quickly and left the place immaculate.

Recommended. We had a number of quotes and this one was well below the others. The two guys arrived on time and finished on time, were friendly and kept at it. They also kept the rest of the house tidy, put down dustsheets and took off their outdoor shoes. The loft flooring, ladder and new hatch is just what we were expecting and was very neatly done. There's some making good to be done where they removed the old hatch - this was as explained to us at the original visit and the area needed decorating anyway. We now have a usable storage space for all the stuff we brought with us from our previous (larger) house.

I initially approached 4 loft insulation installers for this job which was to remove and replace the current damaged boarding from a loft storage area and top up the insulation throughout the loft from the current 100mm to a minimum of 270mm. Access4lofts were the selected supplier since they were the only company to complete a site survey and discuss the job requirements as well as make recommendations about the job. I was impressed from the outset with the thorough and itemised proposal right through to completion of the job and care taken throughout the entire process from start to finish. Installation was excellent. The installer was very helpful and kept us informed of any problems requiring our agreement as and when they arose during the course of the job, suggesting possible solutions and completed the work to an excellent standard. I have absolutely no reservations recommending Access4lofts. The business is a role model on service delivery and I just wish others would aspire to this standard.

On contact via the website, a survey was booked, during which our expectations were set as to what would be done, what I'd be getting and how much I'd pay for those. There were few options to choose from, the bulk of the talking being about the experience on workday, and certainly no hard-sell. A quotation was subsequently received by email with an invitation attached to get in contact and book the work. Immediately prior to the booked date, reminders were sent to confirm that all was well which, in the current circumstances, was very well received. We all have to be cautious but people need to make a living too. Operative Johan arrived on the dot of nine o'clock, was thoroughly courteous and friendly, donned and removed overshoes on entering or leaving the premises, laid dust sheets from the front door, up the stairs and to the work area, completed the work inside the quoted period, did all of the dirty work outside and cleaned up behind himself most diligently before demonstrating the work to ensure we knew how to operate the installation safely. Could I have done the work myself? Absolutely. Could I have done it cheaper? Almost certainly. Would I have done it as well, as quickly once I'd started or indeed started it any time soon? Probably not! I am a satisfied customer! When expectations are managed this well, and then delivered to so exactly, there cannot be any cause for complaint, but then they guarantee their work anyway.

I cannot recommend Access4Lofts too highly. I needed all my loft to be topped up to about 10 inches of insulation and raised boarding for part of the loft. The surveyor listened carefully to my needs and the estimate was prompt and very competitive and with a reassuring and important caveat that if they found they had to do any additional work that the surveyor hadn't spotted then they would cover the cost. With the estimate came very comprehensive Covid safeguarding instructions. On the day Andrew, the installer, worked hard, cleaned up well and even offered to take rubbish that had been left in my loft by the previous owner some 30 years ago! An impressive and hassle free firm to deal with.

Access4Lofts added insulation in the main roof to bring it up to current standards and boarded in the central section, and also added to insulation in the roof above the single storey kitchen. They also installed a new loft hatch and ladder. The team arrived on time both days and worked long hours to get the job completed in 2 days. They were careful of the property, covering the carpets with dust sheets, taking care when carrying materials into the house and up the stairs, and avoiding any damage to the hot air ducts in the roof. They cleaned up at the end of the day and the end of the job. They were professional and very helpful - I am sure they went beyond the letter of the contract but did so willingly. There was a bit of confusion over the area to be boarded but this was resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of both parties - something that would make me happy to use them again should I ever have need to. I have no hesitation in recommending Access4Lofts to other people - in fact I have done so already.

Fitted a loft ladder and replaced the loft hatch. Workers were clean and tidy and completed on time. When I spotted a scratch it was quickly rectified without issue. Would highly recommend.

Access4Lofts supplied and fitted a new floating floor raised above already installed insulation, and installed new loft lighting. They also converted the existing loft hatch to a drop-down hatch and installed a telescopic loft ladder. I chose Access4Lofts because they were very quick to respond to my request for a survey and quote. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. Everything was clearly documented in their quote, including how they would manage the installation in a COVID-19 safe way. They booked the installation within a week of acceptance of the quote, and the installation went according to how I expected. There were no unforeseen problems, and I particularly like how the fitter took the time to make sure I was confident in how to manage access to the loft. Overall, this was an excellent service. Extremely good value for money and executed in a highly professional way.

The estimate was accepted and work started within 5 days. It took only 170 minutes to complete. The fitter was very friendly and obviously liked his work and the company he worked for. He tidied up and hoovered the affected area removing all the dust sheets. I could not applaud more the efficiency and finished product. I thoroughly recommend the company to all.

We had the whole attic boarded over as we store loads of boxes and numerous suitcases up there. Previously we just had a few boards to walk on and masses of insulation everywhere. He set down sheets to protect the floor. I was happy to leave him to complete the work in my absence, and he called me when he had finished. The job was done exactly as described, the property was left perfectly and the invoice was the agreed amount. These guys were very professional from giving an estimate to finishing the job. Everything went smooth. Work was carried out Thursday 18th February and 1/2 day Friday 19th.The work was carried out in a very professional manner, dust sheets were laid down to protect my carpets. The installer was polite and courteous and everything was tidied up at the end of the day. I had a 2.9m telescopic loft ladder installed which I am really pleased with. Also my loft was part boarded and loft insulation laid. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a loft ladder installed.

Completed a replacement of an existing loft installation that was warped. Initial survey was very prompt and information given was really honest. Decided to replace rather than try to fix. Quotation was reasonable and time booked to replace was more than acceptable. Fitter arrived and worked professionally and cleanly. He left after about 3-4 hours and I now have a functional loft ladder that is draft free. Highly recommended.

Just moved in pre-lockdown to new house. Urgently needed, pre-Xmas, to find additional storage space. Was not convinced anyone would react so quickly, but Access4Lofts visited, provided a very competitive and reasonable quote to deck out my garage. From the beginning when the job was being estimated to completion everything proceeded smoothly with good communication and very helpful and courteous staff. Tom and Jackson boarded our loft, installed shelving in the eaves and added a ladder in light in impressively quick time. They were noisy as to be expected, but incredibly tidy, putting dust sheets all the way up our three-storey town house and barely leaving a single hint of dust. They were polite, accepted the rubbish tea my husband makes very happily and we're very happy with the finished result, especially the additional shelving in our small loft. My only criticism is that they didn't let us know they'd be leaving the remnants of our old loft boarding behind - but that was nothing that a trip to the dump in my dad's (bigger) car wouldn't fix! We had Nico in to clear out the attic of our new home, rip out the existing part boarding and fit new boarding (with insulation), ladder, hatch and a light. We were quoted a single amount and that is what we paid after the job was completed. We were expecting two days of work, however they completed it in one! The boarding is neat and level, and the ladder and hatch is super easy and light to open and close. A pleasure of deal with. Jed and Nico installed a new loft hatch and ladder requiring enlargement of the existing hatch. Despite having to deal with an uneven ceiling (we have an older property) they did a very good job. The installed loft ladder works well. They we punctual and polite. They did a good tidy up afterwards. I would recommend them.
