After having three quotes from Double Glazing firms for fitting five sash windows we chose Acorn. Being able to visit their Nottingham showroom was very helpful. We also had a personal recommendation from neighbours. Acorn were not the cheapest quote but the service and quality of the product was outstanding. Father and son, Dave and Brad fitted our windows and we can't praise them highly enough. They clearly came with many years of experience. Work was finished to a very high standard and they cleared up very carefully after the days work and consulted closely with us. We will be having Acorn back to complete the double glazing of the house next year and have asked that Dave and Brad return to undertake that work.

We recently had 2 upstairs windows installed by Acorn Windows, Matt and Lewis were the installers and they did a fantastic job! I cannot recommend Acorn enough, from enquiry through to install they were professional throughout and the quality of the windows is very high. I am just about to send another enquiry to them for another window to the extension we are having.

Acorn windows have worked with us over the last two years to supply and fit replacements for old wooden windows at St Pauls Church in West Bridgford. They quickly provided us with a very competitive detailed quotation for seven windows and allowed us to phase the work across our financial accounting years to make the work possible. They also provided help and advice whilst we sought approval for the work. We are delighted with the work which has greatly improved the appearance of the building, improved heat retention and saved us from maintenance associated with the original wooden frames. The fitting teams were helpful and polite and worked cleanly and efficiently. After sales service has been excellent and Acorn have responded rapidly and effectively to remedy issues we have raised. Overall we are very satisfied and will use them again in the future.

This is the second time Acorn has worked for us. Last year they replaced windows to the rear of the house. The quality of their work then, gave us confidence to ask them to undertake the major task of replacing ground floor and first floor bay windows with double glazed sash windows. We were particularly anxious that the Edwardian features of the house would not be compromised and spent a great deal of time with the Acorn Surveyor on that point. We were very impressed at the amount of detailed work he undertook. We specifically asked for the same team we had last year to undertake this work and Acorn were happy to agree to that. This helped enormously in reducing some of the stress of having such major work undertaken. Brad and Dave are outstanding craftsmen and we have been so impressed at the quality of their work. In order to retain the character of the house a significant amount of joinery was required. Moulded timber architrave was cut to match the original window surround. Matt undertook this work with great skill. We suspect that there were some additional costs incurred, for example a plumber had to remove radiators for plastering to be completed and lead work had to be undertaken which had not been anticipated. But the original quote for the work was not altered. From start to finish we were so impressed with the quality of work undertaken and the house is now completely double glazed without the character of the house being compromised. Well done Acorn.

Asked for picture window to replace broken door and fix water ingress. After consultation and discussion Juliet balcony -which was poorly made by previous builder was removed, window placed, roof made to fit in with rest of roof. Beautiful job. Courteous conscientious builder-Mick- polite hard working considerate. Work done to very high standard. Answered all my questions. Used Acorn before , who replaced my front door and built my porch. They were fantastic then. I trust them completely They will not do things that don’t need doing but they do everything to make the job professionally well done and to high standard. They will be adaptive if needed and correct any issues or damage if caused-great work

We had a window replaced with french doors and a door + window replaced with a larger window in our kitchen. This included all brickwork and two new lintels. The price was very competitive and Jamie and son Josh did an absolutely brilliant job. From the outside, it looks original and has completely changed the way our kitchen looks and feels. Will definitely use Acorn again in the future and would highly recommend.

Acorn Windows have done a considerable amount of work on our property over a 5-month period. All the house windows were replaced, the roofline changed to plastic and the gables faced with lead cladding. In addition they constructed a large 6m x 3m garden room with large opening doors and a triangular window over one of the doors. The house has been modernised and upgraded. All the work has been carried out to a very high standard and all the workmen from their own company, or under contract, have been very skilled, polite and tidy. We have no hesitation recommending them.

Opted to use a local company. The whole process of organising a quote, measuring up and booking an installation date was simple and we had good communication all the way through the process. The Fitters (Jason & Roger) arrived on time and were very friendly and efficient. The job was completed in just over 2 hours with no mess. The standard of work was excellent and the finished job looked great, we were very pleased - thank you to all the team at Acorn. Would definitely use again.

We recently changed a patio door for a full length triple window and the end result was perfect just what we were looking for.The experience from quote to installation was brilliant and the workmanship was clean and efficient we would strongly recommend Acorn Windows for any work you may require.

We've just had our rear window & lintel fitted yesterday. Both the guys (Jason & Roger) that carried out the work at our house today have been fantastic! They were both really polite, clean & tidy, very knowledgeable & have done an excellent job going above & beyond, cannot fault them or their workmanship which has been done to an exceptional Standard. Would highly recommend & will definitely use Acorn & team again in future!

Needed a new conservatory as our was leaking. We decided to go for a half brick on existing foundations with glass roof. From start to finish a great service. Helpful advice regarding how to build the conservatory and the shape to go for. Clear plans-Mick was so thoughtful and helpful. Meticulous planning. Project date given and adhered to. Whole project completed in under 3 weeks and that included drying time for bricks. All workman arrived on time and were so courteous and respectful. All worked really hard and cleared up after themselves. Mick was always checking on progress and ensuring the teams were there on the day they were booked. Attention to detail was brilliant. All workman took real pride in their work. The built in lights really finish the job and I am glad we were guided to have them. What particularly stood out for me is the extras they did -plastering of existing wall after striping paint off and replacing the skirting boards to ensure the project was completed and looked good despite that not being part of original plans but just needed doing. I cant rate Acorn highly enough This is the fourth project at our house and I would use no other. Thank you

Had new conservatory roof and "livin' room" pelmet, plastering, new points, lights etc. The standard was set when James Hibbert called to discuss and advise and was followed by the surveyor, installers, plasterer and electrician. We are delighted with the finished product and the service was second to none.

I was impressed by the professionalism demonstrated throughout my dealings with Acorn – from the original consultation with their adviser, the visit from the surveyor, and the work done by the installation team. Excellent service and workmanship at all stages.

I have used Acorn Windows for substantial works on two houses to date. Work includes 2 sets of patio doors, double French doors, a large conservatory, orangery and skylight, 2 bay windows and black front entrance doors. The work is finished to a high quality which is one reason for my returning business. What impresses me more is the aftercare that this family business delivers. There is never a quibble when an issue arises. A ten year guarantee means ten years where Acorn are concerned. Something not experienced with other companies. They are friendly too at every level. I can't recommend this company enough.

We’ve been using Acorn Windows for around 25 years, having two sets of windows, doors, a conservatory and a side extension. Our latest job was having the polycarbonate roofs replaced on the conservatory and extension with Pilkington self-cleaning glass. We never get quotes from other companies as we’ve always been so happy with Acorn. We know we’re going to get personal service, friendly fitters, good quality products and a high standard of work.

You would think it should be simple, you want some new windows and you seek referrals and quotes. Some don’t turn up at all, others start with a stupid price and finish with a silly price. However, I contacted Acorn Windows (a friend referred me to them) and they sent a salesperson who turned up, at the right time, on the right day who measured the windows, gave me some options, offered some advice and gave me a price. Oh my god! No messing about, haggling, special Easter Bunny, or other daft discounts, just a price, a good one at that! So, what next? A surveyor turned up (I bet the price changes) he measured everything, said a steel would be required (definitely a price change) and they would be able to fit them in a few weeks once they are made - (No price change - same as originally quoted!) CV-19 lockdown, phone call, very sorry but a delay, OK I thought, thanks for letting me know. CV-19 relaxed a little, phone call, can we fit next week? Yes you can! Fitters call me the day before, still ok? Yes, they turn up on time, as expected and fit the windows. Unforeseen loose bricks above one of the windows, not a problem, the bricklayer will sort them out. Bricklayer makes a great job, windows in, bricks sorted, happy customer. Phone call to check everything is ok, yes it is, original quoted price paid. Great service, quality windows, good communications and a fair price. Fantastic! If Acorn read this - thank you.
