I was impressed by the professionalism demonstrated throughout my dealings with Acorn – from the original consultation with their adviser, the visit from the surveyor, and the work done by the installation team. Excellent service and workmanship at all stages.

You would think it should be simple, you want some new windows and you seek referrals and quotes. Some don’t turn up at all, others start with a stupid price and finish with a silly price. However, I contacted Acorn Windows (a friend referred me to them) and they sent a salesperson who turned up, at the right time, on the right day who measured the windows, gave me some options, offered some advice and gave me a price. Oh my god! No messing about, haggling, special Easter Bunny, or other daft discounts, just a price, a good one at that! So, what next? A surveyor turned up (I bet the price changes) he measured everything, said a steel would be required (definitely a price change) and they would be able to fit them in a few weeks once they are made - (No price change - same as originally quoted!) CV-19 lockdown, phone call, very sorry but a delay, OK I thought, thanks for letting me know. CV-19 relaxed a little, phone call, can we fit next week? Yes you can! Fitters call me the day before, still ok? Yes, they turn up on time, as expected and fit the windows. Unforeseen loose bricks above one of the windows, not a problem, the bricklayer will sort them out. Bricklayer makes a great job, windows in, bricks sorted, happy customer. Phone call to check everything is ok, yes it is, original quoted price paid. Great service, quality windows, good communications and a fair price. Fantastic! If Acorn read this - thank you.

I have used Acorn Windows for substantial works on two houses to date. Work includes 2 sets of patio doors, double French doors, a large conservatory, orangery and skylight, 2 bay windows and black front entrance doors. The work is finished to a high quality which is one reason for my returning business. What impresses me more is the aftercare that this family business delivers. There is never a quibble when an issue arises. A ten year guarantee means ten years where Acorn are concerned. Something not experienced with other companies. They are friendly too at every level. I can't recommend this company enough.

We’ve been using Acorn Windows for around 25 years, having two sets of windows, doors, a conservatory and a side extension. Our latest job was having the polycarbonate roofs replaced on the conservatory and extension with Pilkington self-cleaning glass. We never get quotes from other companies as we’ve always been so happy with Acorn. We know we’re going to get personal service, friendly fitters, good quality products and a high standard of work.

From beginning to end everything was just perfect. no gimmicks, no nonsense, no pressure, no hard sell, just honest professionalism. I had a new front door and side panels fitted. I was very impressed with the two fitters who worked with such care for my home. I had mentioned that I wanted to sell my old door and side panels so they removed them with care. Although it cannot be guaranteed, none of my decoration was damaged at all, my carpets were covered up properly, they had respect for my home. I had had four previous quotes prior to Acorn Windows quoting me, some cheaper some more expensive, but as previously stated ,I liked the no nonsense approach, no pressure, no hard sell. Just an invite to come and view the show home which was by the way very impressive,you can actually see the quality of the products. I had one very minor problem with my door, which was corrected within days. The after sales are great nothing is a problem. I am so satisfied that I am now booked in to have three windows replaced in February. Oh,and I never bothered having quotes from anyone else !!!!

Acorn were thoroughly professional and courteous. They arrived punctually and completed the work with the minimum of fuss and disruption. The windows look great - they did an excellent job.

I had 2 old aluminium windows replaced in my bungalow as part of refurbishment a living room bay window and a bedroom window. The price was competitive and the process from start to finish straightforward with surveying and installation dates kept to. The bay roof lathe and plaster ceiling was damaged prior to window installation and the fitters gave me some advice on repair / replacement of the area including the need for insulation which was helpful

Just had a conservatory installed in my bungalow after having four windows and a door fitted the previous year from Acorn Windows, they are a dream to deal with very efficient and professional, the quality of the product coupled with the skill of the fitters actually makes for a fantastic end result. James the MD did the quote and though they did a couple of extras which were not on the quote the price given was what they charged, Mick who does the measurements and goes through how the end product will look is at the top of his game, everything fitted perfectly and was exactly as described, the bricklayers were superb and Steve (Tomo) the fitter and his workmate Adam worked like Trojans in foul weather to deliver a superb conservatory. If you are thinking of having a conservatory this company is well worth employing.

Acorn fitted several windows to my property. After the fitting, I noticed that one glass window was scratched. I informed Acorn and the faulty window was replaced to my total satisfaction. I would like to say that this happened AFTER I had paid my invoice. The team listened to my feedback, in a polite and professional manner, and quickly replaced the window in question. I understand that a fault can rarely happen but the manner in which this was dealt with was first class.

When we purchased our late Victorian property we knew that it would need a lot of work. With the greatest single expense being the windows that needed replacing. We tried some larger companies who gave inflated quotes and played a silly game to pressure us to agree. We found Acorn while looking around West Bridgford and after meeting our neighbours also found out that they had used them and recommended them highly. Acorn gave us a friendly and comforting service from the start, as it turns out we decided to replace all 19 windows in the house and considered replacing the front door as well. They communicated frequently and were able to accommodate our requests despite the complexity of the job, with several old sash box windows needing to be replaced. There was no pressure and we went back and forth on the plans even including a window we all missed at the end. After a couple of months of waiting we managed to get Jamie and his son Josh in at the end of October. They worked at a breakneck pace, despite the need for a brick-up of half a window and a slightly too ambitious schedule which is our only real criticism. The work they did was of the highest quality and they were friendly and helpful throughout, repairing an outside cill not originally in the plans that had collapsed on the 2nd floor. They answered any questions we had as they went along and came back at the weekend just to get things finished. Leaving the tidy & clean. Overall we could not be happier!

The guys who came to replace my garage windows were professional, went the extra mile to make the job look absolutely fantastic and gave 100% customer service. Highly recommend Acorn Windows and especially the guys who replaced on my windows for me.

Our 25 year old conservatory roof was worse for wear, with bits cracking badly and severe discolouration blocking a lot of light out. James visited and suggested a new glass roof to replace the old polycarbonate one. Also numerous double glazed side windows had blown and needed replacing. Fitters Adam and Steve visited and over two days worked very hard replacing all of the above. They did a superb job, even cleaning all the UPVC units making them cleaner than they had been for many years! They even replaced the guttering and downpipe which I wasn't expecting. Over the past 21 years I have used Acorn for numerous jobs and wouldn't use anyone else for this type of work. I also know that if any problems do arise, they will sort them out promptly without fuss, so refreshing in this day and age.

It was an excellent experience from original survey, to final installation of the original encapsulated windows. Jason and Roger, who carried out the bulk of the work, were friendly, polite and extremely professional. We live in a 1930s house in Wollaton and wanted to keep the character of the house, by having the landing original window replaced by a double glazed window, encapsulating the original stained glass. The result is amazing and we are extremely pleased. One of the main reasons for using Acorn was that so many friends had used them on similar houses and the feedback was the same. They are excellent to deal with.

Acorn Windows were the first choice to extend our lounge and add a downstairs toilet, after the great job they did building us a conservatory a few years ago. The quality of the work is first class and they always left everything clean and tidy each day. Attention to detail and care were outstanding and nothing was ever too much trouble. The number of people who have commented on the workmanship, as they have passed by, has been amazing. A great company to work with, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I would like to thank the team for not only recommending me the correct product as my original idea would not have looked as good! and but the patience to fit it around my busy life. Acorn Windows recently fitted some new windows for me. The salesman who initially came over was great - not pushy at all and very friendly. The fitters were brilliant - I've had a lot of trades people through the door over the years and these were among the best. The windows look great - a very modern finish which was just what I wanted. I did have a query about the frames themselves after the fitting and the company were faultless at making sure I was happy. I had eight different companies over for quotes because so many of them were terrible - I'm glad that I found Acorn Windows in the end!
