We were recommended to Stuart when we moved to the area seven years ago. Since then he has annually serviced our Worcester boiler and has always worked to a high standard and charged very reasonably. He has always kept to any booking arrangements promptly - sometimes even slightly early!! He is efficient, polite and approachable - we can't recommend him too highly!

Stuart originally installed my boiler as part of a whole heating system installation, including new piping and radiators, etc. approximately 7 years ago and has serviced it ever since. Always prompt, knowledgeable and friendly and arrives when he has committed to do so. Boiler has serviced me well and continues to do so. (Always the kiss of death to say this) I thoroughly recommend Adept from years of very good service and reassurance. (He is always on hand in case of an emergency.)

Thank you for your review. After reviewing the visit to your two properties we have found no basis for your claims of rudeness or being unfriendly. Below is the process of your two jobs. You contacted us for a call out to two separate properties to which we advised that two separate properties would require two separate call bookings. We booked the works in for the two properties and advised the cost of the call outs which covered up to an hour period. The jobs were booked and then confirmed by you. The first properties fault was repaired in 30 minutes. The fault at the second property was unable to be fixed in the hour due to either the towel rail valve needing to be replaced or the towel rail or 10mm pipe work flushed, We reached this conclusion after 30 minutes on site and checking the valve and isolating all radiators apart from the towel rail to see if there was a air lock or blockage in the 10mm pipe work, after this we advised that the heating system would need to be drain and the valve replaced. We then advised that the 600x1800 chrome towel rail had dropped down due to the fixing coming away from the wall and would be best to be removed and refitted with new fixings but also that the towel rail was rusty to which you asked for a quote to supply and fit a new towel rail and valves. We advised we would send over a quote in due course. This negative review has stemmed from the customer not wanting to pay for two call outs.

We have a bath with taps to the side, a flexihose washer perished causing a water leak. We got a plumber to look at it who said the bath would have to come out and a bath with end taps fitted. We got Adept to have a look and within two hours the diagnosis was made and a new flexihose fitted. We were impressed and relieved as this certainly saved us hundreds of pounds. We have always found Adept to be reliable and professional.

I had used another local installer for many years but its customer service had deteriorated after a takeover, so I needed an alternative and chose Adept to fit a couple of Worcester-Bosch boilers for me in 2018. The costs were competitive and Stuart provided knowledgeable advice, which helped me choose the best options for each installation. Adept has serviced the boilers annually ever since. The technicians are always punctual and the work is carried out with no fuss or mess. I have had no problems with boilers or the installations.

We asked Worcester Bosch for recommendations for someone to advise on a new boiler and flue. They provided three names and Adept was the most responsive. Stuart visited the following day and confirmed that we needed a new 550 CDi boiler and a repositioned flue. He quoted a reasonable price that did not change. He anticipated a 5 day wait for the new boiler, which was acceptable. He rang after 6 days to say it would be here the next day and could they come the following morning at 8.30. He arrive at 8.15 and was later joined by Martin, both knowledgeable and experienced. They completed the work that day and Martin came back the next day to check everything, balance radiators, etc. I had obtained online quotes from national firms. Stuart’s was a bit more but I was keen to meet the person doing the work before committing, and to agree details of the new flue, etc. Also to iron out risks of extra costs. Martin was exceptionally helpful in explaining and discussing details as worked progressed. Altogether an excellent service.

Boiler service and alterations to existing installations to comply with current regulations. Stuart turned up on time, mask on and completed the works in a friendly and experienced manner, following the service he noticed that an over pipe was incorrectly sized, he called to inform me and then got one of his employees to come round an hour later and rectify the problem. All in all, a perfect and hassle free and good value service.

Sorry about replying late to your review. As advised youy were charged for the call out for which you also recieved a discount on due to both appliances checked needed to be replaced. Your were quoted for the replacement works for which you were not quoted. Unfortunately due to covid we were running a skeleton crew for which we were running a 3 week lead time. We do not pay or return money paid for complete works when threatened with bad reviews if we do not .

We had an issue with the Megaflow in our attic. We do not have a regular plumber. Had seen Adepts vans around so thought to give them a try. Communication was excellent. The reacted quickly and got the job done with minimum fuss and gave me a sense that they knew exactly what they were talking about.

I noticed Adept's name on my combi which was installed by the previous owner so I asked for a service as the pressure gauge kept going into the red. This service was done at the end of the year - £60. However last week the leak was really bad so I asked for another visit - last Friday. I thought all was well and paid the £85 on-line that day. A bit steep at £85 for a 20 minute visit - but I thought my troubles were over, they were just beginning. Nearly two buckets of water leaked this weekend. I asked Stuart to refund my £85 but he refused. I told him I was going to write this very bad review but he didn't care - he wanted to keep my money - me, a pensioner. I've been in touch with British Gas, they've already visited, I told them about Adept's attitude and poor service. None of this would have happened if my £85 had been refunded.

As we reply to all reviews good or bad we would like to respond first of all by saying we aim to give 100 % customer satisfaction unfortunately this is some times hard when customers don't fully understand the situation or problem with the boiler. A service was carried out and a fault fixed withing that service, another problem arose with the boiler some time later for which we carried out some work on the boiler but advised there may be another fault and part replacing to which we advised to keep an eye on the boiler. Sometime later after we had left with the boiler working okay the other part stopped working correctly as advised it might. Rather than contact us to repair this british gas were called to fit a new boiler. We advised that a refund would not be given as were carried out works to the boiler and advised you accordingly of potential further problems and also because we would not be threatened with a bad review to get your money back. The costs paid was £ 84 inc vat for a call out for the first hour or part of.
