We woke to our boiler not working, I called Andy at 08:30 he answered the call and was at our house an hour later. Replacement boiler ordered and fitted the next day! Detailed invoice supplied prior to agreeing to proceed. Everything explained in detail and very polite and tidy team. Would recommend.

We had problems with our gas boiler, AGW came to assess the issue the following day and gave options as to how to proceed. The boiler was over 10 years old but we were given the option to either make repairs or have the boiler replaced. We were impressed by the thoroughness of the investigation and the speed at which we were able to get the work done. We opted for a new boiler (due to the age of the current system) and were extremely pleased with the work done.

AGW GAS have just supplied and fitted our new boiler. They were very helpful in advising us and incredibly efficient and prompt with everything throughout the whole process. I would happily recommend them to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We have two houses in the family that need new boilers and the first of these (my sister's) has been completed by AGW to a very high standard and our complete satisfaction. The new installation required the removal of a failed 20 plus year old Ideal Icos regular boiler and tanks, followed with the installation of a Which Recommended Bosch 8000 combination boiler, to the airing cupboard on the landing (instead of the kitchen). Tim and his team of Stuart and Connor arrived on time and cracked-on with the removal and re-working of the pipework on the first day and completed the entire install by the end of play on the second day. They were extremely professional and courteous and also took great effort to protect her home during the work. They worked with great skill and determination during some pretty hot weather conditions and also some challenging supply issues as well. We have no hesitation in recommending AGW Gas & Plumbing based on our first experience. We are looking forward to having the second install completed and potentially further projects with AGW in both houses to upgrade bathrooms and kitchens, later. My sister is already seeing the benefits of only heating the water she is actually using, just in time to help with the current higher energy costs.

Had our old gas boiler removed and a new one fitted in a new location. Andy and the team were quick, clean and professional. Overall they were a pleasure to have in the house, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Highly recommended. Will definitely use them again.

Our boiler was playing, hot water was only lukewarm. Andy replied within minutes to my initial enquiry and gave good support to diagnose the problem. This was followed up the next working day to confirm the problem and a quote received that evening. The work was scheduled and completed a few days later. Tim carried out the installation, arriving just after 8am as agreed. The work was carried out competently and Tim kept me informed of the progress. He took time to fully explain the boiler controls and the smart thermostat. Finally the area was cleaned up, rubbish taken away and he even helped me put the fridge back in place below the new boiler. Why can’t all contractors be this good?

Company came along and gave a quote very quickly for replacement combi boiler and supplied a full written quote for the work and parts needed. The installation went well and all the work was completed within one day. A very efficient and good service with any rubbish removed and area left clean & tidy. A good company to use.Would use them again for plumbing work.

I recently had a new boiler and several radiators installed by AGW. Andy also advised having a power flush and new programmable thermostat. Everything was installed promptly and efficiently by the team. Afterwards, they organised the Guarantee and Gas Safety Certificate on my behalf. I recommend this company to others and will be using them again myself.

I’m delighted I’ve found AGW - Andy the owner is great ; I don’t think there’s anything he and his team can not do! I’ve just had a lovely new boiler fitted by Tim and his apprentice. Lovely people, extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, clean & tidy, hard working, very compatible priced and a joy to have around….what more could you want?! They removed the old gas boiler etc. from the airing cupboard and installed a combi boiler. They fitted new thermostat valves on all the radiators. They removed all the rubbish from the site. They were hard working and polite and tried to keep things as tidy as they could, putting sheeting down the stairs etc. We were happy with the estimate, and they took two days to do it all. They took their time to explain to me how to work the new system. There were a couple of issues which needed attention afterwards and they came back without hesitation to fix it.

AGW Gas recently fitted a new boiler in our home. From the moment they attended to assess the fault they were professional and courteous and clearly knew their trade extremely well. A quote was provided the next day and work scheduled to take place on 25/09/2024 - communication was top notch and they arrived on time as planned. The team were professional, neat and tidy and completed the job on time. They left the area just as they found it and disposed of all waste/rubbish. Overall we cannot fault the service provided and would highly recommend AGW for any heating and plumbing needs.

AGW carried out a complete refit and upgrade of our gas central heating system. They fitted a new boiler, cylinder and all new system controls and electronics replacing several radiators and tidying scruffy original new build pipework as well. It is all working well and we were even able to leave them to it for several days while we went away to avoid an unheated home in November. We returned to a beautifully warm, clean and tidy house almost as if they had not been there. Couldn't ask for better. Andy was really helpful and informative throughout.

I needed my boiler, thermostat, and a new bath pop-up plug fitted. Tim and Ben did an excellent job — my boiler now runs quietly, the house feels much warmer, and the thermostat is dependable. They were a pleasure to have around, and when they left, it was as if they hadn’t even been there. The work was highly professional, and I’m thrilled with the result.

AGW have been servicing our boiler for years and when it finally came to the end of its natural life. They came to replace it. Not only did they replace our old boiler but ensured everything was up to date by adding legislative items to ensure safety and efficiency of the new boiler. Called AGW on Saturday regarding a leaking toilet pedestal and two radiator valves that needed replacing. The chaps were round first thing Monday morning and did a top class job. They were courteous, worked hard and left everything neat and tidy.

I called AGW and Andy visited the next day to assess our faulty boiler. A quote for repair or replacement was emailed to us the same day. We chose to replace the boiler as we found the quote to be very reasonable. Within 4 days we were booked in for the replacement and a new boiler was on its way. Andy explained our heating system thoroughly and the whole quotation and works to be carried out. Both Tim and Andy were here prompt on the day and completed the installation with the minimum of disruption and even got our gas and water back on within a few hours. All the rubbish was taken away and the house left clean and tidy as they had brought their own dust sheets to cover our carpeted stair runner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services and relieved to of found such a reliable and efficient company for our future gas and plumbing needs. Thank you both.

AGW replaced a very old heat only boiler after it became uneconomical to repair (again!). The quote Andy gave was very competitive, however, we chose to use AGW because they are a local company and because of the recent Which? Trusted Trader reviews they'd received. We were really pleased with the work Tim and Andy did and they took their status as a Trusted Trader very seriously. The work they did was carried out professionally and did the whole job in a day. There were no hidden costs to the quote they looked at what we had, what was required and gave a clear quote for the job and made it clear that that is what we'd pay and it was. We had a couple of problems with the heating after installation because of the way the previous owners had had the house plumbed, but they returned and got this sorted with some good old fashioned humour. I've used AGW a couple more times since the boiler installation and they have always been extremely reliable, turning on the day and time they say and getting the job done without fuss. I have waited a couple of months before writing this and I am now more than happy to unreservedly recommend AGW to anyone looking for a professional and reliable heating engineer - a mate in the trade told me recently that reliable heating engineers are as rare as rocking horse s**t - well here's one - nuff said.
