Paul has been a Master Locksmith for over 39 Years, apprenticed trained (5 years) from the age of 16.

Paul arranged a convenient time to come round (within a few hours) and arrived extremely punctually. He was extremely efficient and friendly. He made a couple of suggestions but was more than happy to do the most basic work if I so chose. The work was done very quickly to an excellent standard and I would highly recommend AHL Locksmiths.

Paul was brilliant. My mother's door needed new locks and keys in an emergency and within less than 90 minutes Paul had driven across London to us. Not only did he replace the locks, he also fixed an issue with the door not closing easily. He also moved the second new mortice lock to a more secure position (all of this he did in addition to fixing the immediate issue without extra cost). He was also very thorough and tidied up after the work once he was finished. He is a really experienced trained locksmith and we would recommend him without hesitation.

Paul came the morning after my call to solve our door lock issues, both front door which was sticking and back door where the key had jammed in the lock, plus he went above and beyond to free a stuck upstairs window. A genuine old-school tradesperson which unfortunately is hard to find these days. I had total confidence in his capabilities, and he is a lovely guy!

I phoned AHL Locksmiths mid morning. Paul responded. He said he could visit mid afternoon today, but subsequently phoned to say he was actually on his way to my area for another job and could came to me straight afterwards. Which he did. The problem was quite a small one - unable to open a door from my utility room because the upper Security Roll ock was stuck in the locked position and the door could not be opened. Paul Paul dealt with it quite quickly. Paul's general manner is bright, efficient, polite, and friendly yet professional. His charge was reasonable in relation to the job in hand and his time spent. I would have no hesitation in calling AHL Locksmiths once more if the need arose.

Paul came and replaced two locks on our front door, (including one that had been badly botched by a previous "locksmith") liberated a bike shackled to a wall due to the failure of a chain lock and gave great advice and service saving me a few quid into the bargain. Despite us being a bit off his usual turf he made the journey twice . He was professional, friendly, very knowledgable and had some great stories too. The job was completed with the minimum of mess and at a very reasonable price. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Paul made a big effort to help our elderly neighbour who had lost her front door and porch keys. He came quickly, fitted three locks and was friendly, professional and patient with her. He offered good value and replaced previous shoddy work as sadly the locksmith sector is not regulated! He even called later to suggest a retracting belt key ring for her future use. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending him, a very nice and experienced person.

Miracle worker on large patio door

We have a huge glass patio door that we couldn't open because the key had broken in the lock and the lock was stuck in the locked position. Several people came to assess what was required but none came up with a workable, cost effective, solution until Paul visited. He was able to open the old lock that was jammed, without causing any damage to the door. He brought with him a wide range of locks and identified a new one that would work - a discreet bolt on the door at floor level. We now can open this door to access our balcony and get a good cross breeze across our flat.

Paul came to fix a lock on my front door that was out of alignment. He also fixed the latch (which was also out of alignment), completely unasked but after checking with me. He was prompt, polite, very clear about what he was doing and carried out the work extremely efficiently. He cleared up carefully when he had finished. Very highly recommended.
