AHM Installations

AHM have been brilliant right from the very first contact. We wanted to convert an existing en-suite into a wet room accessible for my dad’s needs (a wheelchair user), but for it to still feel modern. After a long search and multiple letdowns from other companies, we contacted AHM. Phil conducted a thorough survey, talked me through options and came up with a design plan. When it came to fitting, there were a few complications (no fault of AHM) which meant we needed to alter the plans slightly: panel the ceiling, switch the door, plus have new floor boards laid due to an existing undiagnosed leak. Dale did an absolutely wonderful, speedy yet professional job throughout the whole fitting process despite these complications, and we couldn’t be happier with the final outcome. It’s exactly as we wanted and doesn’t look/feel ‘accessible’ despite meeting that criteria. Special shout out to Dominique in the office who kept me well informed of visits, invoicing & answered my many questions. Excellent customer service from all. We are so happy to have found a trustworthy company like AHM Installations.

The estimator was excellent, taking me through the options and drawing up the plans as he did so. The work started bang on time and was completed well within the estimated time frame. The contractor who did the work was very considerate, doing his best to minimise noise, dust and disruption, while consulting me when necessary, e.g. about the position of the various fittings. (No noisy radio while he worked was a big plus). The work was done to budget, but there was a small additional cost (moving the light switch from outside the bathroom to a pull switch inside). The debris was stored in the garage and removed very promptly when the work was completed. Good quality materials and workmanship - worth paying for. A reduction in the final bill was offered (and gratefully accepted) due to the flooring batches not exactly matching. I warmly recommend this company for work of this sort.

We wanted to upgrade our shower cubicle to make it more accessible but we didn't want a complete bathroom refit. We have a separate toilet and we wanted to change to a comfort height toilet, again without a complete refit. Phil, the salesman, was delightful, putting no pressure on us. He gave good advice, too. As for the toilet, we'd had several plumbers in the past couple of years who said it wasn't possible to have a new toilet fitted without damaging the tiles and shelving behind the toilet pan. This has proved to be rubbish! Our fitter, Dan, was amazing. He was hardworking, friendly and did a brilliant job. We are delighted with the results. You wouldn't know that both rooms had been worked in and shower and toilet were not original to the bathroom/toilet installations. We would recommend this firm without any reservation.

We used AHM installations to convert a very small ensuite shower room into a wet room for my mum, who has had a stroke. Barney came to measure up, he was very thorough and took his time discussing Mum's needs. The work started on time and only took 4 days to complete Dan Casey from Casey Interiors came to install it. He arrived early every day and worked solidly. He was really friendly and respectful of mum's needs and talked us through all decisions. He was tidy and cleared all the rubbish at the end. I chose AHM Installations as my parents had previously used them to create a walk in shower. I wanted to turn my bathroom from a walk in shower to a wetroom. To meet my disability needs. The surveyor Alan visited my home. Alan was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. From Alan's samples I then chose the colour of the flooring, the wall panels and the type of thermostatic shower I wanted. Three weeks later the day arrived for the work to begin and my installer Michael began. Michael was a lovely bloke, he kept me informed of what he was doing, answered any questions that I had and I felt comfortable having him in the house. Every day Michael worked solid only taking a 20min break during the day. Michael also cleaned up as he went along and regularly checked with me that I was happy with the work. Michael's standard of work was exceptionally high and he had a good eye for detail. It was so refreshing to see someone take such pride in their work. Mark who laid the wetroom floor also worked to a high quality standard and was friendly and professional. On the last day a lovely installer Dean finished off a few bits. Once again Dean worked to a very high standard with a good eye for detail. Every person that I dealt with at AHM Installations was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and made me feel valued as a customer. I now have a lovely high quality, stylish wetroom. Which meets the needs of my disability. I would have no hesitation in recommending AHM Installations.
