Tony came to my new home as few weeks ago to assess a number of items which needed sorting out (mystery switches, defunct extractor fan etc). The work was carried out and completed this week to my complete satisfaction. He could not have been more helpful. He was prompt, very pleasant to have around, cleaned up after him and his charges were reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

Tony had done work for me previously - replacing transformer driven halogen down-lights with mains LED ones and fitting security cameras. When I lost a ring main he gave up part of his Christmas holiday to identify the problem and fix it. Finding the problem was a difficult and lengthy process and I found his charge very reasonable given the amount of time he spent. Tony again showed that he's an excellent electrician - great work and really nice guy with very reasonable charges. I won't hesitate to use him again. We both learnt that rats really do gnaw electrical cables and that sadly the RCD protected them!

Needed a new consumer unit as the I had been advised the old fuse box that was fitted was no longer safe, it was about 50 years old. I also had some lighting issues which needed to be addressed. I have been looking for a reliable and professional electrician for a couple of months and a number of false starts found Tony's profile on which? His reviews were very good so I gave him a call. Tony came for house visit to access and prepare a quote. The quote was received in a couple days and fully detailed the work to be done. The quote was competitive and we arranged a installation date. Tony duly arrived on time as agreed and the work was completed on schedule. I am very happy with the work carried out. Tony is a professional tradesman who takes pride in his work and the service he delivers to his customers. He is also friendly and helpful in the advice he gave on electrical matters. I have no hesitation in recommending Tony for your electrical needs, his high ratings on this site are deserved.

Tony was running late at his previous job so phoned to tell me when he'd be arriving. I only needed a socket changing - he did this quickly and with a friendly manner.

I would not hesitate in recommending Tony. I have recently moved house and although the electrics had the required checks prior to my living here, the reality of the anomalies of switches and lack of plugs and lighting in cupboards etc meant I needed lots of fiddly electrical work done. Tony has transformed the lighting and accessibility of plugs. He has done this with such skill and with the very minimum of intrusion. I am amazed and very thankful. I have no hesitation in recommending Tony Byrne whole heartedly. He is friendly, approachable, patient and professional and explains things very clearly. He fixed some coach type lanterns for us at the front of the house, replacing non working lights. He also did three inside light replacements and repairs and pull switch repairs. He discussed options thoroughly with us and sent us a clear estimates of costs. He arrived promptly each day, leaving us nothing to clear up. He is a pleasure to have around - and we are relieved to have found him!

We have asked Tony to repair or replace a number of things at different times: a faulty pull cord, a broken batten holder for a bulb in the loft, a 6' tube and starter, a 4' tube and starter, a kitchen tube and starter, a small solar fountain, and replacing a faulty twin socket, which was the last of this series of jobs. Tony always replies quickly, comes to have a look, discusses various options and possibilities, and is very professional, but explains what he is doing throughout the work. We are so glad to have found him, and have every confidence in him.
