We've had Alex do multiple jobs around the house over the last few years. Most recently, he fixed a broken toilet flushing mechanism. His communication ahead of the day was very clear and helpful. He always takes time to understand the situation before his arrival to ensure he can fix the problem quickly and cheaply. He also often goes the extra mile to offer free advice, both before and after the job has been done. I can't recommend Alex enough. 100% our go-to for all things heating and plumbing!

I recently had a boiler fitted by AMT Heating, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Alex and Josh were the professionals assigned to my installation, and they truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment they arrived, it was clear that they were knowledgeable and well-prepared. They took the time to explain the entire process to me, ensuring I understood what would happen at each step. Their attention to detail was impressive; they meticulously assessed my home’s heating requirements and made thoughtful recommendations. Throughout the installation, Alex and Josh maintained a clean and organized work environment. They worked efficiently and effectively, demonstrating a high level of skill and professionalism. It was evident that they took pride in their work, ensuring everything was installed to the highest standards. What stood out most was their friendly demeanour. Alex from AMT was the first gas engineer to come round & explain in detail & in a way that I could understand about the size radiators I would need & about the new boiler, which in the long run could save us money. He was to the point & his experience came through. Alex was really kind, making sure that I wasn't cold on the day & even fixed my leaky tap! His work was neat & quick & he took time to explain the thermostat to me twice!! I'm so grateful as he has made me feel comfortable, I have now passed his number on to two friends.

Impolite, lazy and evasive

Disappointed, distressed, upset and inconvenienced by this company. The work was for removing the existing condensing boiler and replace with a new combi boiler. Alex was a very different person when quoting for the works, but as soon as he arrived he had a poor attitude, was condescending about any questions we had about the work and generally wanted us to not ask anything. This was a 2-day job according to him and the 1st day only the apprentice (Josh) turned up and did the work. Alex only turned up for half a day to finish the job the next day. This was horrifying because Josh was lifting 40-50kg items on his own upstairs without any safety equipment. We had problems with the installation afterwards and Alex refused to visit to inspect the problems meaning we had no choice but to pay Vaillant to come out to fix the problem. We also noted the mains pipe was left running through the loft even though the cold water tank was disconnected. This pipe should have been moved and we should have been informed and advised about it by Alex, but he said nothing. We felt Alex took advantage of our lack of knowledge of boiler systems. He charged the maximum price even though he did the bare minimum work (e.g. didn’t relocate gas pipes or water pipes). When we tried to speak to Alex, he was rude and condescending and refused to check his work. We cannot recommend this company and we will taking matters further.

I find your view of my demeanor during our communications to be entirely unfounded. From first contact to post install I was available to answer all questions, even outside of work hours We specified that your install would last up to two days. Both of which I was in attendance, personally installing the boiler and answering questions about flue positions & pipework - receiving a text later that evening with a question which included a photograph showing my tools on-site from that day Josh is not an apprentice, he has 7 years experience in the industry. His competence and professionalism must have been apparent as you contacted him several weeks after completion, asking for his help After a long conversation attempting to alleviate your concerns that the boiler was faulty because of a small pressure drop over several weeks post install, the advice given indicated the most likely cause would be a leak on the existing heating system, which was not installed or worked on by us Vaillant were in attendance that day but found no fault or issues with the boiler or the installation. Their advice was that the pressure drop was in all likelihood due to a small leak on a pre-existing radiator valve that the Vaillant engineer identified whilst on-site. The Vaillant report confirms the engineers findings. Again, this radiator was not installed or worked on by us Our aim is to provide a professional service, and this review is not indicative of several other customers experiences

From the time of the initial survey to the completion of the work I found Alex to be extremely professional and clearly a highly experienced heating engineer. His level of knowledge and approach instilled confidence that the work would be completed to a high standard. I have not been disappointed. A big thanks to Alex and Josh from AMT. I can understand why AMT is a preferred installer for Vaillant. Highly recommended!
