Applewood Kitchens

I called into Applewood Kitchens on the off chance some months ago as we had been thinking about a new kitchen for a while, as our last kitchen was installed some 20 years ago. I was immediately impressed by Sarah on my first meeting as she was so warm and friendly and I felt (as it happened quite rightly) that Applewood would be a company that I would be very happy dealing with. Scott was extremely helpful in designing the new kitchen which made the very best use of space available and I was confident that the appliances that he recommended would be of excellent quality. Once the project was up and running I was impressed by everybody who worked on the kitchen. Mega builders, led by Adam, were excellent. Despite a slight hold up with structural work (installation of a new rsj) the project did not fall too far behind schedule and the builders worked incredibly hard to prepare the kitchen for installation. Everyone was very helpful and friendly; the builders, plumbers, electricians were all excellent. David Bunn fitted the kitchen and I cannot praise him highly enough. His attention to detail was fantastic and he worked incredibly hard - any minor flaws were dealt with swiftly by David and Scott. Bradley the painter and decorator and Tyne Flooring were also excellent. My new kitchen is just what I had envisaged, a lovely light and airy room. It is a pleasure to be in the kitchen! We wanted a high quality kitchen and installation and went with Applewood after two friends were very pleased with their kitchens. Applewood offered a high quality kitchen and appliances at a competitive price. The Applewood fitter was absolutely meticulous and did a fantastic job installing the kitchen. We had a very minor issue with one of the plinths that was almost certainly caused by the flooring installer but Applewood resolved the problem immediately for us.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new Applewood kitchen! The outcome has elevated a small dingy space into a far lighter, brighter and more attractive kitchen than we could have possibly hoped for. The entire process, from our initial visit to the showroom and the design consultation through to the final installation, was exceptional. Everyone involved in the design process listened carefully to our needs and came up with a stunning concept that met all our requirements. Scott sealed the deal when he said it was no problem to have a bespoke soft-yellow paint for our units. The quality of the units and appliances is fantastic and the workmanship by our fitter (Andy) was outstanding. He was meticulous in his installation, always professional, cheerful and tidied up each day. There was great attention to detail and it truly looks like a showroom kitchen. We've already received so many compliments from everyone who has seen it, with ‘Wow!’ being the word used most frequently. The new layout is incredibly functional and our beautiful sun-filled kitchen is rightfully the new heart of our home. We couldn't be happier and would 100% recommend Applewood to friends and family.

I couldn’t be happier with my new kitchen from Applewood. From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. Scott, the owner, is incredibly professional and responsible, with top-notch communication skills. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had and Sarah (co-owner) kept me fully informed throughout the entire process. The design he created for my space was outstanding, smart, stylish, and perfectly tailored to what I needed. The fitting team, Andy and Martin, were absolutely fantastic. They were diligent, friendly, punctual, and extremely neat in their work. Their attention to detail and pride in their craft really shows in the final result. Applewood may not be the cheapest option out there, but they’re certainly not the most expensive, and the value for money is excellent. I’m truly grateful that I chose Applewood for my new kitchen. Zoran promised us it would be done with 'military precision'. He was correct but it felt like a hurricane. My biggest credit goes to the tradesmen. All at the top of their game and polite and fun to work with.

Applewood have recently completed a complete kitchen remodel and installation for myself and my wife and we’re completely thrilled and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone! We selected applewood for a number of reasons but mainly their experience - which was evident during our design (and subsequent survey) appointments in our home. Within minutes Scott and the team were able to see how we currently used the space and how we could maximise it - creating a light, airy, modern yet cottage-esque feel to our kitchen which gave us everything we looked for - and more. It was this interest and dedicated time in seeing how we lived that we did not get with other brands, which gave us the confidence in Applewood’s expertise. The quality of the products and appliances is clear to see in their showroom and this is reflected in the end product that was installed in our home. You can physically feel how good their products are (carousel cupboards, pantry drawers were some of the features we chose) We were regularly kept informed throughout all phases of our design, build, install and even extra non-Applewood services such as flooring (Installed by a 3rd Party). All trades we encountered were pleasant, clean, and had fantastic attention to detail (fitters, builders, etc) The team did a fantastic job at project management from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend Applewood to anyone!!

From start to finish I was delighted with the service I received, nothing was too much trouble. Janaye came out to visit, gave me lots of ideas, to which some I hadn’t even thought off. Janaye gave me lots of options, then followed up with different design options. I have to say my kitchen is stunning, I’m so glad I chose the Quooker fusion tap which is fantastic, also the induction hob, which I knew nothing about until Janaye explained how this worked. Sarah was always at the other end of the line if I needed any information, also contacted me regularly to check in. Andy my fitter was an absolute pleasure to have in my home, a great kitchen fitter, polite thorough and extremely professional. I can honestly say I was thrilled with the whole project from start to finish. If I ever move house again I would not hesitate to call Applewood and do it all over again. Applewood have provided us with a stellar experience from start to finish. Janaye designed our kitchen and utility, ensuring she included all the little details that mattered to us. Tony double checked everything and was always helpful and personable. Andy fitted everything and did an amazing job. He was a pleasure to have around, sorted out any little issues and was very tidy. The doors and carcasses are very good quality and Mega group that did the prep work for the kitchen were great, being friendly and pleasant to have around and doing a great job. Both the kitchen and utility were part of a bigger project for our house - Sarah and Scott ensured everything ran smoothly, made suggestions which worked really well, sorted out any minor hiccups along the way and always made time for us. Overall, the team are friendly, approachable, helpful and despite our house being in disarray, made the experience one we have enjoyed as we’ve watched it all come together. We are thrilled with the result and a large part of the positive experience was down to the people involved who genuinely want you to have a good experience and a beautiful kitchen that you love.

Applewood recently installed a new kitchen and utility room for us. The team made the whole experience hassle-free and easy throughout. There’s plenty to see and inspire you in their showroom and the quality of our chosen kitchen is spot-on. The team fixed the inevitable small issues that arose along the way with speed and a can-do attitude.

The old kitchen was removed, new electrical points installed and old gas pipework removed and the walls plastered by Applewoods recommended local builders. This was done with minimal mess and any waste was disposed off efficiently. The new kitchen was installed by Applewood professional kitchen fitters Matt and Martin. They were both craftsmen and did a superb job, taking their time to perfect the whole installation of kitchen furniture and new plumbing and electrical fittings. The installation was completed within the agreed schedule and budget. The communications from start to finish by Applewood was great, it was comforting to know that everything was under control, this was important to me as it is disruptive having to do without the kitchen for days. There was a slight issue with one granite window ledge, this was rectified soon afterwards and now looking great.

We are delighted with our Applewood kitchen. The entire experience from initial design visit through to completion was impeccable in terms of professionalism, communication, timeliness, and quality of finish. Though the original kitchen design we inherited when we bought our home was workable, we needed to replace the units and appliances we had also inherited. We visited multiple ‘high street’ kitchen companies, especially when they had advertised discount offers. However competent their designs were, they all offered an identikit version of our original layout with replacement units and appliances being the only updates. Hence, we were never tempted to move on their offerings. It wasn’t until we visited Applewood kitchens and their designer came up with an innovative and ultimately transformative kitchen redesign that we felt sufficiently moved to take the plunge. That coupled with the company’s reputation for quality and service and effective project management convinced us it was the right move to make. We were not disappointed, to say the least. The project was completed as per the proposed timeline and the result is a kitchen that we love showing off to our guests, keeps the original social function of the space, and makes cooking that much more pleasurable and easier. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Both my wife and I are delighted with the completion of our new kitchen, utility room and study. From our first visit and design layout with Janaye at Moss Garden Centre to the final decorating by Bradley, we have been impressed with Applewood Kitchen’s from start to finish. All of the tradesmen who have come into our house have been professional and courteous and have all worked for Applewood Kitchens for many years. I would recommend all of them, particularly Andy, our kitchen fitter, the stonemasons from Everest Stone in Reading and Tyne Carpets and Flooring to Bradley who carried out the decorating. What impressed us the most was their attention to detail and the pride they took in their work. Thanks to some of our neighbours we are so glad that we chose Applewood Kitchens with Sarah and Scott assisting us along the way. They kept us updated throughout the process and communication was excellent. All of the above companies were recommended by them which made the whole project seamless and easier to deal with. The whole experience was fantastic. From the initial showroom visit to a detailed design visual, through to the final completion. Zoran was particularly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly throughout, as well as everyone from the Applewood team. The quality of the kitchen itself and all appliances is excellent. Just had a new kitchen fitted by Applewood Kitchens and have to say I am so impressed with this company the Quality, Service & Fitting is beyond expectation. I now have the most amazing kitchen, so thank you Applewood, especially Tony (Surveyor) & Andy (Fitter). Thank you to Scott for making me think about how I wanted my kitchen layout and for your suggestions. There were some hiccups along the way, but all were resolved quickly and without any fuss. The reason I chose them was after reading lots of reviews for a major kitchen competitor, quite honestly, it was frightening. I just wanted a kitchen company to supply, fit, and take responsibility for the project, and on reading Applewood's reviews, I knew straight away this was the company for us. There was constant communication from this company from the signing of the Contract to the completion of the project, and they did what they promised, and that was to give us the kitchen of our dreams!

We chose to go with Applewood Kitchens, as a couple of people we knew had gone with them too; one being a close friend whose kitchen was still looking good after nearly 15 years, and had recommended Applewood to us. We felt we were listened to and worked with to achieve what we required, and having the whole process project-managed for us meant it was less stressful. All work was done when arranged, professionally, and on time. The fitter, Andy Wheeler, was A* and did a wonderful job, even getting my matching towel rail to fit. A minor, but important adjustment was eventually dealt with, and although it's not a quick process from initial planning to completion, the final result is amazing.

We have had a lovely shaker kitchen installed by Apple wood. They managed the whole process and Co ordinated all the builders and tradesmen. This made it easier for us. The main fitter was very friendly and trustworthy and took great pride in his work as did the other tradesmen. Recommend them for design and installation.

Applewood Kitchens was our preferred kitchen company as right from the first contact we received an amazing service. The whole process from the design stage to the completion stage left us feeling valued, understood and listened to. The attention to detail was spot on and any issues (not many at all!) were swiftly dealt with. Both kitchen and the utility were completed to budget and schedule and we are delighted with the end result. Quality is outstanding! We are recommending Applewood Kitchens to everyone.

Have had two kitchen installations undertaken by Applewood Kitchens. In both cases their staff have provided excellent service and most especially brilliant aftersales support. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Applewood installed my kitchen 17 years ago. It included fitted units around an American style fridge freezer. When the fridge freezer finally stopped working, I could not find one to fit in the gap and opted for a narrower one. I contacted Scott at Applewood, who rose to the challenge of how to fill the gap with open shelves. The fitter installed them perfectly. I am delighted with the service and end result.

Going into a large project such as a a new kitchen can be quite daunting. We found that pressure was eased when working with Janaye and Applewood. From the first meeting we were put at ease and felt confident in our choice to go ahead with the project. Janaye listened to our ideas and likes and put together a great plan and gave us some great ideas. We were given clear timelines and every one was met. The fitting of the kitchen was exceptional! When I read reviews I often want to know how someone feels further down the line, so I waited to post this for that reason! It's now nearly 4 years since Applewood installed our kitchen. We had already been to several other providers but none of them were quite right, there would be a part of the kitchen not used and as the kitchen is not big that wasn't an option. Enter Applewood. The designer, Ian, was the first designer to really listen to what we wanted and came up with so many new ideas. From then on we were given solid advice from Ian, Scott and Sarah without any pressure at all. They coordinated all the work taking place and installation was seamless from start to finish, even though we were still in the time of the pandemic. It was so much less stressful than we had anticipated, it was affordable with no hidden costs and we were absolutely delighted with the result. Nearly four years on, the kitchen still looks fabulous. The attention to detail at the time was so good that I wouldn't change anything at all about it and we continue to get compliments from people, it still looks like new. Recently we needed to change a built in appliance (not bought through Applewood due to Covid) they were able to provide and fit the new appliance, making necessary adjustments and we felt confident that they would do a great job, which they did! Applewood genuinely offer a top of the range service and I would recommend them again and again.

Applewood Kitchens provided us with a first-class service for our kitchen and utility room refurbishment, overseen by the very efficient Sarah and very enthusiastic Scott, who won't relax until he has another happy customer. From the design stage (Janaye was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with some useful suggestions) through to project completion we always felt that everything was under control. As Applewood undertook all aspects of the project management, and as we went with the people they recommended for building work, installation and flooring, the process was pretty seamless. All the people at each stage were friendly, efficient and professional. A special mention has to go to Matt and Martin, the kitchen fitters, who were perfectionists in all that they did. Any minor issues which arose (inevitable in a project such as this) were resolved promptly and to our satisfaction. One other point worth mentioning is that as we had our appliances replaced at the same time (hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer), Applewood was happy to sell them to us at trade price - a significant saving. We would recommend Applewood wholeheartedly for anyone looking to get a fantastic new kitchen.

With a blank canvass, Scott put forward some helpful options for our new kitchen. Having settled on the final design, from thereon, everything went according to plan. Nothing was too much trouble when, partway through, we requested some modest changes. Furthermore, we had to postpone the fitting date and they again demonstrated flexibility. The materials arrived as scheduled, closely followed by the installer who was meticulous and tidy in his work. Templating of the granite worktops was then undertaken and 1 week later our new kitchen was completed, and we are absolutely delighted!

Really good experience from start to finish. The kitchen was planned to suit my requirements and height. The kitchen fitter Andrew Wheeler was meticulous and ensured everything was finished to a high standard. The recommended building company Mega Group were excellent and I employed them to carry out a complete refurbishment of the ground floor. Luminous Marble who fitted the quartz worktops were very skilled and professional. Tyne flooring did a great job fitting the Amtico flooring throughout the ground floor. Bradley Betts provided a very high standard of decorating. The Company kept in touch throughout the whole process and communication was excellent.
