About
Artistic Plastercraft was formed in 1985, with our senior member having worked as an ornamental plasterer since 1967. The tradition of Ornamental Plasterwork is centuries old & most of our patterns reflect past styles and forms. Whenever possible we have reproduced original patterns to ensure sympathetic blending with existing properties. These patterns extend from the Tudor period, through the Georgian & Victorian periods up to the Art Deco of the 1930's.
We produce and supply a large range of ornate and plain cornices, ceiling centres, corbels, niches, wall plaques, panel moulds, dados and arched openings in a range of designs. We manufacture our own moulds at our studios and the finished cast is plaster of paris reinforced with hessian and timber strips. This ensures ease of fitting which can be by screws, nails or a suitable adhesive.

David and his team repaired a couple of sections of damaged cornicing. were a pleasure to have around and they did the work quickly, with no fuss and minimal disruption. The finished work is seamless despite the challenges of wonky Georgian walls. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Artistic Plastercraft provide a wide range of period plaster cornicing; they fitted cornicing in the hallway and landing of our early Victorian house so professionally that it looks as if it is original! The attention to detail and finish are excellent, even with walls/ceilings that are not altogether straight. We are really pleased with the result.

David from Artistic Plastercraft added a section of cornice to a new stud wall which matches perfectly to the original Victorian plaster. He also repaired a section which was damaged above our bay window. Timekeeping was excellent and we were notified of any delays. The cost was very reasonable. The work is perfect and we would happily recommend Artistic Plastercraft and would hope to use them for any future work.

Artistic Plastercraft did a great job, were reliable and I'd recommend them. It was a fairly small job, reshaping, around the chimney, and repairing another section. However, they came to take a look very quickly and completed the job about 4 weeks later - which in the current climate is excellent.
