Now 9 months after my install I feel confident enough to review the team at Ask. Renewables I had initially collected a few quotes by searching the internet for local suppliers, who called surveyed and quoted and did not feel reassured enough to proceed. I then discovered Which Trusted Traders as part of my subscription. A quick postcode search gave me some supplier options and some helpful third party reviews Tom did the survey and he provided a comprehensive quote, it was competitive with others I had received and so I decided to proceed with the installation using the Ask team. The process was very smooth from start to finish with scaffolding, roofing install and electrical/IT set up all being completed efficiently. Back office support was also friendly and helpful, expediting the required paperwork. So the results – projected generation has exceeded expectations and the forecast. The system is delivering about 10% ROI (return on investment) and we are currently feeding in enough energy to pay both our gas and electricity bill (including the standing charge) for the last 5 months. As the price of electricity has fallen this has lengthened the original projected payback, but If I had left the money in the bank I would expect 5% max and any tax liability on top. I have had one or two minor questions and the Ask team have been rapid, friendly in their response. So the complete package and would recommend their work to others

I am extremely satisfied with the solar panel and battery installation provided by ASK Renewables. There are some companies that you're just lucky to find. Ask Renewables are that company. I first enquired about a solar panel system about 3 years ago and through chance I spoke to Ed Kelly. What strikes you immediately is that Ed doesn't BS you. He just gives the information, provides advice and doesn't push at all. I must have got about 6 or 7 quotes but Ed was the best. He came to my house, properly surveyed (unlike a few who just quote based off Google Maps!), then went away and evaluated the best overall system based on our usage and needs. I didn't go through with the original quote back then for a variety of reasons but fast forward to 2024 and I reconnected with Ed. I asked for an updated proposal and lo and behold, the prices came down (honesty!). When I wanted to proceed, Ed was clear and communicative but also made me aware of the potential challenges with timings and installation. The paperwork was handled with no issues and Ed's team were brilliant. All the way through, Ed was clear and the on site installation team were the friendliest lads you'll ever meet. Ed then came out soon after to finalise all the logins and connections so that my system worked properly and, even when I changed my ISP meaning I had to reconnect to the system, their after sales support has been superb. Notice I haven't even talked about the solar panel system. That's because it works perfectly! Saving £150 a month! Thanks Ed, and the team!

I can't fault this company, in their workmanship and dealing with customers, their value and accurate schedule. From the beginning it was all explained simply, never patronisingly, loft and roof was checked, all details taken, and I was left to contact them if I wanted to. Definitely not a hard sell. I'm not a working person, and don't know about work standards, but I am a fairly fussy person, and their fitting work was neat, tidy, even a quiet radio! What I most appreciated was the way I was told who would contact me next, as they moved between sellers, office and paper work, and the practicalities of scaffolding and fitting. I wasn't once left wondering, and it was clear I was welcome to phone and check anything that I was wondering about. So the result is that I'm often watching a screen and boring my friends, my personal ECO ratings are sky-high and I'm saving money. I'm saving the planet and saving my wallet, what's not to like!

I started out by getting 3 quotes from companies using Tier 1 materials. All came in about the same price so went with Ask renewables on recommendation. Tom called out to see me and designed the scheme. The fitting team of Deano the electrician, his son and Liam the roofer were superb. Really tidy,care to my property and worked well together to complete the work. I install double glazing and I realise it can be difficult to trust a company you don't know. Care of the customer .care of the property and quality are all paramount. You will not be let down by Ask renewables. Thanks to Ed and the team from a higher delighted customer. After deciding to explore Solar PV we used Which? Trusted traders to approach 3 business for a quote. ASK Renewables had a professional approach from the start which made them stand out. Matt was our contact and he took time to listen to our questions and concerns, as well as really getting to understand what we needed for our home. All the technical details were there to back up the product quality. Matt explained everything clearly, with added tips and advice on getting the most from your investment. The price was competitive and Matt gave us confidence that they understood that this is a big financial commitment and there was no pressure to decide anything. Once we did agree to go with ASK they were efficient and met every timescale they set out. The fitters were great, everything was in place in less than a working day and the panels work perfectly. The after sale follow up has been good and we felt assured that we can call on ASK for any advice or issues in the future. Would definitely recommend them.

Ask renewables were recommended to us from someone who had used them for their solar panel system. We did have a number of other quotes from elsewhere however when Tom called we were very pleased with how much time he spent explaining everything to us. Due to unforeseen circumstances at our end there was a delay before we got round to going ahead and Tom happily called back to go over things again. He has also rung up after the installation to see we are getting the best from it and is giving us a call next month. Certainly good aftercare service. The installation process when smoothly and the two guys worked together doing an excellent job. They left the place clean and very tidy having done an amazing neat job.. They explained everything we needed to know and set up the app for us. The office staff also did a great job regarding following up with any necessary paperwork. From start to finish I have been impressed by the service we have received. Matt from Sales was very thorough & patient when explaining the process & options. The work was booked in and happened quickly. We asked to make a change to battery location after installation and the team were happy to come and make the change. Then Sam has been super helpful talking through the portal and all the technical details. All in all very happy!

We decided to explore the world of all thing solar a couple of years ago having just bought our first EV. Finding an installer proved to be a challenge so we decided to put the whole project on the back burner. Recently we became aware that a close friend had had quite an extensive system installed by ASK Renewables so we decided to approach them for a quotation. The whole experience from first contact to installation was first rate. The surveyor explained everything in detail, in simple layman’s terms; the resultant quotation was very detailed showing equipment to be installed and projected payback period. The three man installation team arrived on time and got straight to work. The whole installation of 14 panels, Inverter, two batteries, ancillary equipment and associated cabling took just four hours. Before we knew it the system was connected to our home WIFI and as quick as that we were up and running. The inverter and batteries are installed in the loft area which is not used as habitable space with isolation switches and import/export meter mounted on the wall of the loft stairs the over side of the wall from the inverter making the whole installation extremely neat and tidy . We think the team did a brilliant job and they obviously took pride in their workmanship. Before leaving the electrician showed us how to operate/monitor the system using the LUX app. We are now benefitting from reduced bills and solar energy meeting our normal daily consumption on most days. This company provided and excellent service and took great pains to ensure that the installation was as we desired. We had a battery fail after a couple of weeks and the company came out within a few days and provided us with a new one. I would highly recommend this service
