I am 81 years old and have had a lifetime’s experience of customer service - good, bad and indifferent. My experience with Ask Renewables rates alongside the very best. From start to finish they were excellent. I am delighted they were recommended to me and I cannot recommend them highly enough to others.

I was very nervous about choosing the right supplier for my solar panels and battery and spent quite a chunk of time choosing a partner that would give me good advice and not let me down. In the end I narrowed it down to three providers, a large energy firm, a recently bought out independent firm and a truly independent trader Ask Renewables. Ask and one other did a site visit whilst the large energy supplier used Google maps to assess the property. Ask were by far the most thorough and Matt the consultant gave me solid advice which in the end made me spend less money than I was expecting and gave me everything I was looking for. The installation was pretty seamless and whilst there was a small hitch with the panels I am pleased to say that it was sorted on the next working day with Ed keeping me fully informed. The end result is very neat and tidy and I am really pleased with the outcome. What’s more I know that Ask Renewables will be there to support me on an ongoing basis to make sure that the tariff is right and I am getting the most out of the system. So for me a 5 star rating for the people, the panels, the batteries, the installation and the ongoing support. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

From my very first contact with ASK Renewables their whole team was friendly, efficient, supportive, professional and customer focussed. I knew that I wanted a solar installation, but wasn’t sure how to proceed. ASK made it easy for me. They assessed my energy consumption, made recommendations, carried out a site visit to check our requirements, designed and costed a system. Once I had approved the proposal, we agreed an installation date. The installation team arrived on time, were friendly, respectful of my property, polite, neat and tidy in their work and worked quickly. Ask Renewables is a brilliant company and everyone I spoke to or dealt with was well informed helpful and friendly. I had an Initial discussion to look at whether to get solar panels and batteries . Matt took a huge amount of time to explain everything including suitability for me, cost and pay-back calculations , absolutely no pressure to buy. They put scaffolding up early for me so that I could get roof repairs done. They gave me a named operations manager to call if there were problems. Everything was done on the day they said they would do it and everything was cleaned up afterwards. Ops manager came round personally to check everything ok and all cleared up. Most important though, the aftercare is also fantastic and ongoing. The monitoring and programming app was explained, various queries answered ( patiently) . 3 months later when I bought my electric car they made sure my settings adjusted to maximize charging rates benefit. Outstanding customer service and the price was competitive too. A family business which really cares about quality, safety and customer service.

We wanted to look into a solar panel system, so we approached several companies for surveys. Our decision to use ASK RENEWABLES (Matt) was based on a detailed value for money survey, and the knowledge that Matt had as he answered all the question's for us to make an informed decision to proceed to installation. The installation team were professional & courteous & completed the install on the arranged date. Any questions that we had were answered concisely & satisfactorily. Matt & ASK have checked in with us to see how we are managing with the system & though it is early days we are highly delighted. We would 100% recommend this company.

We have had our solar system installed by this company , Matt did a survey and was able to answer the many questions we had as an older person I wanted a co many who will offer support after the instalation and they have been brilliant in getting back to me with any queries I may have.Frim start to finish the instalation went smoothly and I am really happy with system all wirk8ng just great and I've been able to reduce my electric bill virtually to nothing just the standing charges I'm very happy with the system and hiw it's all working .5 stars for this company they deserve it.

This was our second solar install with Ask Renewables. Once again they've been absolutely excellent. We chose them as they did a really careful on site survey with Matt, who took exceptional care to review the location, decide on the best solution, and present us with the right options. We ended up with a very smart Hanchu solar/battery/gateway system. The office team of Karyn and Samantha managed all the essential paperwork really efficiently and were super-quick to answer questions. The install team turned up on time and did a perfect job, with a quick and tidy fit. Even the scaffolding firm they use round us were really nice guys. Ed managed the install from the office and kept us informed throughout. Highly recommend this firm.

Great service from start to finish. We received a detailed survey from Matt who was very professional and informative. There was no hard selling and i believed that the quote would come back much higher than the other quotes I had received due to how professional and well informed they were. I was lukily wrong and the price was very competative. The installation was booked in and they turned up and installed on the agreed date. The installation team were again very friendly and explained how everything works including the app and the best settings to use. The after service has been great with Matt calling me to go through all my system and how it has been performing. Would highly reccomend.

My solar system was fitted by this company over two years ago. Both the survey, service, and fitting were excellent, very clean and tidy, both inside and out. All the people I had contact with were very helpful, efficient, and pleasant; every question I asked was answered. I have not written a review before, but I just wanted to say that after two and a half years, I am delighted with my solar panels. I only pay for electricity standing charges from about March to September, with some good solar days in the other months, and I get a decent amount back for exporting to the grid, which more than covers the cost of the standing charges. My house is all electric with just a gas boiler. This includes the usual appliances like a washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc., plus a power shower, an immersion heater, an 8-bar pressure steam generator iron that is used most days, and heaters when needed on cooler days. I run all these easily, fill the batteries, and still export to the grid.

The whole team was excellent and knew how to design a brilliant system. There was continuous support throughout, and they took the time to understand what we wanted and needed. The installation was smooth, and the end result is of incredibly high quality. Would definitely recommend.

From start to finish, the process of getting my solar panels was smooth and easy to understand. Matt was fantastic right from the beginning, patiently answering all my questions and explaining each step. After my panels were installed, the team continued to provide great support and made sure everything worked perfectly. I really appreciate all the hard work and dedication. Highly recommend.

Matt came and spent a considerable amount of time with us going through our options and explaining in detail what to expect and answering our many questions. We had several quotes of differing prices, we went with the Company with the knowledge and expertise not the chespest. We accepted the quote and waited for all the propsals to go through dealt with by Ask. The scaffolding went up on the 12th and the installation on the 14th. Such a profesional neat and tidy job with friendly installers. My husband was shown all the logistical bits as I was out lol! We know we can contact Matt with any further questions if needed. No money up front either, pay on completion. A smooth perfect job worth 5 stars and more. Thank you Ask, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I installed solar PV at a previous property so had a reasonable understanding of what to expect. I work for local authority and ASK Renewables was recommended as they had done work for the council previously. I made contact and the received a call from Matt a few days later to arrange a survey. Matt was brilliant. He explained the benefits and how to get the best use from the system he proposed. We went ahead with his proposal, even though a competitor quoted £500 less for the exact same system. I felt that Matt's guidance, and no pressure approach sealed the deal. Arrangements were made to erect the scaffolding and then installation 2 days later. The installers were excellent, very neat and tidy and did an outstanding job. I then contacted Matt after completion for guidance on the best tariffs and how to tweak my system to get the best return on investment while benefiting from the system. Overall, Matt and the team have been top quality. I seriously doubt any other company could match the service and quality provided by ASK Renewables, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone considering solar PV.

After thinking about solar for a long time and doing research, we finally decided on Ask Renewables to do the installation, mainly because they had great reviews, and I can say their reviews are very well deserved. Fantastic company from start to finish. Mat came initially and assessed the property. He explained everything in detail, and there was zero pressure to go ahead. I was left to digest all the information before I contacted Ask Renewables to go ahead. From the lads who turned up to do the scaffolding to the lads who did the installation, they were clean, tidy, and polite and did a professional job. Samantha, whom I also dealt with, was simply lovely, and we were contacted after installation to make sure all was going well. I am so happy I chose Ask Renewables, as I am confident that if I need any help in the future, they are always on hand for advice. First class service and they deserve every one of my 5-star reviews.

We had 4 panels, battery and inverter installed just over 6weeks ago. The pre-install planning / quote service was thorough and not pushy. The workmen were considerate and polite. After an early misunderstanding some of the initial work had to be repeated which necessitated a short delay to erect additional scaffolding. This was handled very professionally by both the on site team and the company Director, and the work finally completed at no extra cost to us. Given the need to work on the roof, in the attic and down in our cellar, there was potential for a lot of mess- the team were clearly mindful of this and considerate in how to minimise dirt, and left the site clean and tidy on completion. Once installed, we were shown how to use the app and the system, and follow-up paperwork was sent in a timely fashion. Since going live we have contacted ASK on a couple of occasions with queries- on both occasions they have got back to us quickly and answered our questions. Overall we are very happy with the service provided and would highly recommend ASK.

I had been looking into solar for my new home and gathered quotes. Ask Renewables were always my preferred supplier due to the work they had done a couple of years ago for my mum and her neighbour. They didn't disappoint! From the initial phonecall, Matt's onsite visit and quote and then the install by Deeno and team were all very informative, and delivered to a high standard. Matt produced a solution which fit all my requirements and was within budget. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. Since the install I have asked a few questions to get my export contract setup and the response has been so quick and helpful. I am now addicted to looking at the app and website seeing how self sufficient I am! Many thanks all!

ASK Renewables were amazing from start to finish. They showed a genuine interest in getting the right system for us and gave us a lot of flexibility to suggest what we wanted. The original quote was thorough and excellent value, and it was trustworthy considering the surveying of the property that went into preparing the quote. Their communication throughout was great. No pressure selling involved, but really quick to respond to questions and queries. Installation was fast and high quality, getting the solar and battery system up and running within half a day, and aftercare was great, including supplying necessary documentation and checking in on how the system is working. I couldn't recommend them anymore as all aspects of this experience have been great.

We were recommended ASK Renewables by our friends who were incredibly happy with their own solar installation. Initially, I wasn’t planning to implement solar myself. I was simply seeking a quote for reference, thinking it wouldn’t be a suitable option for our needs. When Matt arrived to discuss solar with us, I had no intention of making a decision. However, we hit it off immediately. Matt was incredibly knowledgeable and didn’t push us. Instead, he asked all the right questions to gain a thorough understanding of our energy usage. After explaining the various aspects of a solar and battery installation, and providing me with a quote later that day, I was fully convinced. It’s been a month since the installation, which took approximately 5 hours. We couldn’t be happier with the smooth process and the exceptional team. The system works flawlessly, and we’ve reduced our reliance on the grid by about 90%. In fact, the system now indicates that we’re 100% self-sufficient. If you’re considering solar, I highly recommend ASK Renewables. It’s not as expensive as you might think, and they deliver an excellent service.

I had a phone call today from Mat regarding an enquiry I had sent to him about fitting extra solar panels to my system. Matt spent 20 minutes explaining the pros & cons and told me that it was not a viable project for me to go down this route, and the amount of time it would take for me to get my money back was way too long. I would recommend this company to anyone who has any thoughts of installing or buying any solar products, as they are open & honest about everything, which in these days of hard sell is very refreshing.

I am trying to find fault with something in the entire process, from first contacting Ask Renewables, to completion of the solar panel installation. But I can't. The surveyor, Matt, explained everything I wanted to know extremely well, and very patiently, before, during and after installation. Matt remains someone I am happy to know and be able to contact should I need further support - a true professional. The roofer and electricians clearly knew there jobs, completing the install to my complete satisfaction - no fuss, no mess and all done and away in little over half a day. The office team too couldn't have been more efficient, sending me the necessary documents very quickly with clear guidance on what to do with them in order to secure the export tariff. A totally professional team - well done.

From the start of our experience with ASK, the staff made the process from enquiry to installation really easy. They were always on hand to answer any questions and able to explain the various technical processes in an understandable way. We are really happy with the system we've had installed, which fits our needs perfectly, and the ongoing customer service post-installation is second to none.

The solar panels were installed in April 2025, and I couldn’t fault the quality of service at any stage. They arrived exactly when they said they would—first the scaffolding team, who were friendly and considerate, followed by the installation team, who were equally professional and punctual. From start to finish, everything went smoothly. Whenever I’ve had questions—whether about switching energy providers or accessing the export tariff—they’ve always responded the same day. We tried 3 different PV suppliers and installers. ASK were by far the best. The design was perfect for what we need, and the installation was smooth, efficient and expertly handled. The price was also reasonable (although the main consideration for us was a sensible design for us). The kit they use is modular which allows us to extend/replace in future if needed. I could just tell from the no-nonsense discussions I've had with a few members of the team that they know their stuff, are straight talking and just want to provide an excellent service, providing top quality kit. I would highly recommend.
