I obtained several quotes for a Solar PV System, however Ask Renewables was one of the few that actually wanted to come out and do a site visit. Their surveyor Matt visited and discussed at length my options and the costings involved, he then went away and produced some full written proposals for me to decide on. These were left with me, with no pressure to buy etc. having compared the quotes and services provided, I had no hesitation in opting for Ask Renewables, their service was far superior and the quote very reasonable. The process of getting National Grid approval etc was then completed and a fitting date agreed. On the fitting day the team of two arrived and efficiently set about the process of installing the system, both were efficient and friendly. Within 5 or 6 hours the system was fully installed and fully working. Within a few days the commissioning pack and certificates arrived. Ask Renewables were professional throughout and gave a service second to none and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

When we decided to venture into the world of solar panels we decided to use the Which Trusted Trader site to source one of the installers. We chose ASK Renewables as they appeared to have good reviews. This was incorrect, they were excellent. The whole process from first phone call to post installation follow up, was first class. The surveyor was very knowledgeable but explained things so that even I could understand, including the benefit of a battery backed installation. This is what we chose and before we expected it we were contacted with a proposed installation date. The installation team turned up on time and were very professional and courteous. Just after lunch I was explaining to my wife that it would probably take about 2 days to complete, when the electrician was asking for my WIFI password to connect the system to. The system was fully installed and was being finally commissioned. Absolutely brilliant. The inverter and batteries were installed in the loft, and I didn't even know they had been upstairs. Why didn't we do this earlier? We are now benefitting from massively reduced bills and solar energy is meeting our base load most days. Would I recommend ASK Renewables - absolutely, with no hesitation.

Ask Renewables was the 3rd company that we approached to fit solar panels on our house and I am so glad that we choose them after 2 failed attempts with other contractors. I can’t praise them enough. They checked what we wanted and what we needed; they listened before drawing up a plan. The plan was excellent and exceptionally well-priced. The installation was smooth and timely, they literally worked around a garden full of honeybees. I couldn’t quite believe that after more than two years of trying we had solar panels and an effective battery system. The system links with our current energy providers solar tariff and we have already seen our electricity bills cut by a good 70%. On the few sunny days since the installation in February we have seen our 9Kwh battery full before midday and even on the frequent dull days the power has covered most of our household usage. The real bonus is that our system contributes to the grid, every bit helps to make the UK greener! The company deserves its “Which Best Trader” listing. It is rare to find such kindness, efficiency and competitiveness all in one company.

I have had a 14 panel system fitted with 2 batteries and 6 optimisers. In addition I have had bird guards fitted on the panels as well as some plug points to the batteries. The service has been brilliant. I got a personal visit to my property for a proper assessment of what would be best and loads of time spent with me. I was not chased too much for a sale and took a few weeks to discuss, research and get the best set up and deal for me. Install was quick and efficient and the help from the ASK team on everything including tariffs and operating the system has been first class.

I have recently had solar panels, batteries and and inverter installed by Ask renewables, and would highly recommend them to anyone. They were very professional throughout and I am extremely happy with the system they installed. The process went through very smoothly, and felt the advice offered at each step, including checking if I had any issues and advice about how to get the most out of the system, was very useful.

After being quoted by a few different companies for Tesla, GivEnergy and Sunsync products, we decided to go with Tom Matthews at Ask Renewables & the Luxpower system. Tom/Ask Renewables were the only company that came well prepared to answer questions (with datasheets, etc), carry out a roof inspection and a shading analysis. Tom designed a system to our specific requirements which was a high kw inverter that could do a full house back-up during a power cut. After taking a couple of months for our DNO to be approved by Northern PowerGrid, Ask Renewables were quick to come and fit our system once we got the go-ahead. The site installers, Dino and Liam, came and did a neat and tidy job. The system has not disappointed at all. By strange coincidence we have had 2 3-hour power cuts since the install date and we were able to carry on as normal during these outages. We are taking advantage of charging the batteries during the Octopus Flux cheap rate and discharging them during the Octopus Flux peak rate. I want to thank the team at Ask Renewables (Tom, Samantha, Karyn, Dino & Liam) for supplying the system. Also, special thanks to Ed who has supported us after installation and has quickly dealt with any issues we have had.

Having obtained three quotes to install solar panels on the south facing roof of our bungalow, plus battery storage, I feel compelled to give an update for those considering their options/installers. One of the companies we spoke with shone (no pun) from the start - Ask Renewables. Their first contact was great, the surveyor actually knew his stuff (unlike one company that used Google Earth to quote...) and their price was competitive. The only thing they got wrong was their calculation for Return on Investment - it was way too pessimistic! We are currently in winter, heating on (heat pump installation in the pipeline), and our Direct Debit to Octopus Energy is £1 per month having built up a large export credit during the summer. We are still exploring energy on the sunnier days, and with smart tariffs we can earn more than we pay. Did I mention we also run an EV? The point of this review is to give a big shout out to the team at Ask Renewables Ltd, they guided us on our solar journey without any sales pressure (unlike the other companies we spoke with) and, as someone with experience with tradesmen, their team were polite, skilled and efficient. I'm utterly confident that, in the unlikely event we have an issue, Ask Renewables will be there. I should point out that our system consisted of 20 x 400w panels on a south facing roof which, for our three bedroom bungalow is a lot, hence our amazing results. My tip? Fit as many panels as you can from the start.

I had 13 solar panels fitted and a 9.6kWh battery. Ask Renewables were competitive on price and every aspect of their customer service was superb, whether pre-installation, the actual installation or post-installation. Everything was done to budget and on time or sooner. Any time I have had cause to contact them since installation their response has been immediate and has solved my query or problem. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I contacted Ask Renewables for a quotation for solar panels, plus battery storage because of its "Which? Trusted Traders" status. I wasn't disappointed. Every aspect of the service provided was top class: initial email/telephone communication; quality of advice during the initial survey; follow-up communication; efficiency of installation (10 panels plus battery storage all in one day); after-sales support (I had a few technical questions about the app). I was so impressed with my initial contact, survey and quote that I didn't even bother to get a quotation from another company. 8 months on I'm really happy with the installation. There have been no problems and I'm saving a significant amount of money in terms of electricity costs. I wish I'd done it years ago. I've arranged for additional battery storage to be added later this month so that my savings will be even greater this year. TIP: Pay extra for micro-inverters and go for the maximum battery storage.

After researching solar panels and providers I opted for South Yorkshire based company ASK Renewables. Not the cheapest but excellent reviews. Also they did not use Tesla batteries ( I refuse to buy from that company due to its founder!) From the initial phone call to the final follow up the service from ASK has been exemplary. My main contact, Tom, is knowledgeable and explains things well. He is easy to contact and I felt reassured at every stage. I have waited 9 months to review to make sure everything was working well; it is. Tom has been a great help after installation in helping me to get the most out of the panels and how I utilise them. Very time a date was given for survey, scaffolding or installation they were here on time. The installation crew were great. They were friendly and tidy. I was amazed at Liam's agility and skill doing all the roof work. Dino who was the electrician who installs the inverter and batteries explained everything well and did a very tidy job. He set the system up as well as helping me to sort out the LuX Power App. Ask also have the ability to see how the units are working which was reassuring. I then changed easily to a power company that provides an excellent tariff for exploring any excess electricity. Having just compared my Nov-Jan usage for last 3 years our import of electricity, even in these winter months was down 25% . In Summer it was much higher and I had a net gain on my electricity bills; in peak 2 months, using 90% solar.

ASK Renewables provided an excellent service, from the initial contact, through planning, installation and aftercare. They discussed fully what was possible, talked though a number of options, answered questions fully, and were always ready to put our needs first. The installation was carried out very professionally, on time and on budget. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Informative initial interview. Installation happened quickly on the day arranged with scaffolding erection organised by Ask. Pleasant and hard working installers. Good communication from the company throughout with follow up enquiries from them after completion of installation. The company representative was always available and contactable for information. One of our three batteries failed soon after installation but was promptly replaced. My neighbour has had solar panels fitted by Ask and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Ask Renewables was recommended by my brother who recently had a Solar system installed by them. Tom came round to do a survey and subsequently provided me a quote. Absolutely no pressure selling and I considered the price good value. On acceptance of the quote the office called to arrange a suitable installation date. Scaffolding was delivered a couple of days in advance to allow my builder to move some bathroom extraction vents from the roof. Installation was smooth and the electrician was very accommodating by taking time to route solar panel cables via a void in the house wall. Karyn and Samantha, in the office, were very quick and helpful processing the relevant documents. I am over the moon with the installation. 6kW panels and 12kWh battery storage. Even in December with low sun, the panels can generate well beyond 3kW. Batteries can also be fully charged using the cheaper Octopus Flux night-time rate. Then I use the batteries to help power the house through the day. I highly recommend Ask Renewables. A great company to do business with.

We had decided on a solar and battery installation and began to gather possible contractors to complete the work. It was at this point we found many companies didn’t take into account your needs and just wanting to sell you a product. After contacting 8-10 companies we got ASK Renewables to carry out a survey, they took a completely different approach. They considered our energy usage, reasons for wanting the install then assessed fully our home for installation. Only after this full assessment did they then provide a comprehensive quotation and plan. The decision was then chosen to progress with ASK as they were by far the most professional company contacted. I have a keen eye for electrical installation as I am an Electrical Engineer by profession and they listened to any comments I had and completed a really neat and tidy job within my garage. I have and would recommend ASK to anyone, the kit they have installed is reliable and provides an intuitive platform for interrogating the install. All the team were great from start to finish including handover of documents for enrolling to Octopus Energy Flux tariff.

We had quotes from a number of companies, and ASK were by far the best in their combination of product and price. In addition, the service from the ASK team from initial visit to post-installation check-in was superb. I really felt that Matt was interested in designing the best system for our needs rather than selling/upselling a system that was more expensive but not really needed (he convinced us that a more expensive 'optimised' system was not suited to our needs/roof). He also gave us lots of advice on how to get the most out of the system. The installation could not have gone more smoothly. The installation team were great and really nice guys - I was amazed that they were able to install in a day - and helped get the web/app system up and running. I would definitely recommend ASK Renewables!

We did our homework and approached five firms: Ask Renewables was the most impressive from the start. From the initial survey and consultation with Tom there was absolutely no pressure selling and the focus was on how a solar panel system would work for us. Tom was very generous with his time, his home visit gave us a clear understanding of the installation procedure and answered all our questions. His attention to detail and transparency was both impressive and refreshing e.g. compliance with any planning regulations; realistic predictions of solar output. He emphasised that no deposit was required and payment would be on completion of the work.The price was remarkably competitive! We had absolute confidence in proceeding with Ask Renewables. The speed and efficiency of installation was exemplary. The scaffolders and installers , Dino(electrician),Liam and Alan(roofers) all arrived promptly. They were friendly, polite, and respected our property— lovely guys! Within a few hours the system was installed and Dino advised us on the use of iPad and mobile ‘phone apps to monitor the system. The follow-up/customer care with Tom, Sam and Karen (admin’ support) is excellent. I contacted ASK Renewables and others for a Solar PV quote. Three companies just used Google Earth and only ASK and one other company visited. I have roofs which face South, East and West. Matt was brilliant from start to finish. He surveyed my house in detail and discussed his recommendations. Matt could answer the many questions that I asked about the various options. There was no hard sales talk, just a follow up detailed design, cost and offer of support. I contacted Matt on other occasions for further advice and he was so helpful and knowledgeable and gave me so much confidence in ASK’s offering. Another key factor was that half of the scaffolding would be on my neighbour’s property in a tight space and Matt worked closely with the scaffolders to produce a plan that worked. During the installation Ed visited site to ensure that both the scaffolding was erected as planned and that the install proceeded on schedule. Dino and the installation team performed an excellent job working a long day to install 20 solar panels, two large batteries and an inverter, only leaving when I was happy with the working system. After the install, I’ve had follow-up contact from Matt to check that all is OK and to continue the offer of future support as needed. My experience with ASK Renewables has been excellent and they have been an outstanding company to deal with throughout the entire process. I would certainly recommend them for a Solar PV system install.

We had 10 solar panels and a 9.5 Kwh battery installed on the 29th September 2023. All working well. We had quotes from 7 companies and Ask renewables were very competitive on price. The whole team -survey , quote, installation and office were a pleasure to deal with . In essence -They provided the most thorough survey and best advice to meet our requirements -There was no hard sell - They did not want an up front deposit - They turned up on the due date and installed the system without a hitch. - The follow up paperwork was properly completed - Post installation advice has been easily accessed. Ask renewables know what they are doing, do it well and provide excellent value.

Excellent service. Dino and Liam arrived as scheduled and set to work immediately. Scaffolding had arrived a few days earlier as planned. They were friendly, informative, cheerful and unphased by anything. 10 panels on roof, two batteries and inverter installed, looking very neat in attic room. After my initial enquiry I was contacted by Tom who arranged a visit to discuss a solar/battery installation. There was no pressure to sign up and Tom gave sound advice and recommendations for a suitable system. After placing my order Ask Renewables dealt with the DLO to gain the required approvals and after the inevitable delays with the DLO my installation was booked just days after the approvals were received. I was even given an upgrade on my panels free of charge as the original panels ordered were not available at the time of my installation appointment. The installation was completed within a matter of hours and all the people involved were polite, efficient and tidy in their work and I was given clear instructions in the use of my system on completion. I would not hesitate in recommending Ask Renewables to anyone interested in a solar/battery system.

Shortly following my contact with Ask Renewables, their assessor Matt rang to make an appointment to visit my property. He was polite, friendly, and very informative, in a manner which I could understand as a non-technical person. He did detailed measurements regarding the best place for panels to be placed and gave me full information regarding what I could expect from installation of a solar system - panels, inverter and two batteries - currently and over subsequent years. Matt then left his card and gave me time to consider everything with no pressure at all. Printed information followed shortly through the post, so that I could clearly see what had been discussed. I was free to ring Matt at any time to clarify anything I did not fully understand. He answered everything fully and clearly. Having decided to employ them, I was passed to Ed who was responsible for overseeing installation. He was equally approachable and helpful. The guys who installed the system were great, efficient and tidy. Samantha in the office was also great, giving me more helpful information, and I didn’t have to pay a penny until everything was installed and working to my satisfaction.

Ask Renewable have recently installed a 10 solar panel and two battery system. From the outset, it was clear that they wanted us to have a system that best suited us, with no "hard sell". They were very responsive to our questions and concerns, which were all answered quickly and knowledgably. The whole process was efficient, friendly, polite and professional, from the first visit to discuss requirements and design, the fitters and electrician throughout the installation, and the scaffolders, and there was very little disruption or mess. An excellent service from a family led company that genuinely cares about its customers.

We had been thinking about solar panels for some time and decided to get some quotes to see if it was feasible on our Victorian, three storey terrace house. We went through Which Trusted Traders as we felt we could trust their reviews. The service and support from Ask Renewables was excellent throughout. Matt took a couple of hours over the survey of the house, checking the roofs of the original house and the modern extension; taking measurements; asking questions. He took us through how the system would work; explained where the inverter and batteries would be housed and answered my many questions. There was no pressurised sales talk which we were grateful for. We both felt this was the company to go with. A date was agreed, scaffolding erected and the team of Alan, Dino and Liam set about doing a super job of installing six panels on the original house and four on the extension. They met the demands of an old house; stone roof flags; solid walls; three storeys at the back and two at the front with cheerfulness and expertise, explaining what they were doing along the way. They were professional, courteous and hard working. Matt even cleared the gutter whilst he was up on the scaffolding. The team tidied up after themselves and the work is neat and unobtrusive. The system has been working for a week now with no problems. We are very pleased with the service received from all members of the team, thank you.

I contacted this company after reading the excellent Which reviews that were universally positive and even though they were outside my immediate geographical location. The initial contact was professional and efficient and was pleased to hear that they carried out an in person house survey to establish suitability and discuss requirements. At no point in the process was there any pressure selling, which I found very refreshing. Matt carried out a full survey of my house and spent an appreciable amount of time discussing my requirements and queries. He was professional, knowledgeable and treated my house with respect. I finally agreed to have 12 Solar panels and took up the option of extra battery storage and a larger inverter. The resultant competitive quotation was as expected and installation took place around one month after the survey. The installation happened on the agreed date, with scaffolding erected a few days before. Two men worked on the roof, whilst an electrician ensured a safe and tidy installation of the batteries, inverter etc in the garage. The whole job was completed in the morning to a high standard. The installation team were polite, tidy, friendly and efficient. The company did not want a deposit and full payment was only required a week after installation to ensure that the system was working properly. Matt was happy to help me with any subsequent queries. I found the whole process to be excellent and would highly recommend this company.

Can I just say what a pleasure it has been to do business with the company. Tom who came to do the quote - took plenty of time, was very knowledgeable and personable, answered all my queries and dealt with my email queries promptly even at weekends with no sales pressure whatsoever. The scaffolders were nice lads and the fitters Rob and Mark and the electrician Ben were all very nice and hard working. They enjoyed their work, were very professional, did a great job and didn't seem to mind getting absolutely soaked through doing the fitting in the pouring rain. The panels are generating plenty of electricity including enough for charging my car. I can appreciate why they are a Which Trusted Trader.

Installing a solar panel system is an expensive capital investment and we were bewildered by the number of companies available. There were also lots of horror stories. Having found that Ask-Renewables were relatively local to me (Yorkshire) and the highest rated Solar PV company on Which? I arranged for a survey to be carried out after my first phone call with Samantha - not a sales rep but a director of the company. Nothing was too much trouble (despite my having my own ideas about what I wanted my system to achieve) and at no point did I feel that I was being pressured into buying something. Their advice was good (I did my research) and, having found them to be very competitive on price, we arranged the install. It is worth noting that we obtained three quotes in total and, not only were Ask the most competitive, they were also by far the most professional in their approach. One company quoted after looking at our house on Google Earth and then tried to pressure us repeatedly to sign up! Not Ask. The install was incredibly smooth despite my particular requirements not being 'standard' and even when an additional item was required (again, due to my particular needs) someone jumped in a car and brought it out to the fitting team. All done and complete in the day! We installed a large 8kw array with a 6kw hybrid inverter on a south facing roof. Our first week generated enough power for our whole house inc ev and sent £50 back to the grid!

I've been wanting to get Solar for a long time but only recently when the price of energy has gone up thought I was ready. The tech has improved recently so now is a great time to get a system installed. I got another quote before speaking to ASK, but ASK's quote was much better (by about £1k) and for a larger system (8 panels instead of 7). After quoting for 2 sizes of system (8 or 16 panels) I went for 8 panels and 2 x 3.2 kWh batteries. No deposit was needed and the guarantees / warranties are great. The installation was done efficiently the day after the scaffolding was put up, panels on in the morning and electrical equipment fitted by 2pm. My only gripe is the promised "guide to the online software" hasn't happened yet. There are lots of screens and options which don't make much sense or use short acronyms without any explanation. Note, the mobile app didn't work for me but you can go through the website. Having said that, they have called me a few times to offer to send an engineer to inspect the system. The first couple of days the inverter was taking power from the grid instead of the battery but now things seem to have settled down and the system is running smoothly (so I declined the engineer visit). So far the record day has generated 21 kWh and I'm a low user (roughly 1500 kWh / year). In 1 month (May) I've used only 12 kWh from the grid. I'm very happy with that. I'm interested to see how the system performs over the whole year.

We had our Solar Panel system installed by Ask Renewables Ltd a few weeks ago and we have nothing but praise for the company. We are extremely pleased with Ask Renewables Ltd in the way they conducted themselves from start to finish. The whole process was handled with due care and attention in a very professional and courteous manner: from Sam in the office who handled all the logistics and paperwork; Matt who came to visit our house and design a suitable system for our needs; the solar panel installers (Mark and Rob) who did a great job fitting the panels as agreed; the electrician Ben who got it all fitted, connected and working seamlessly; the scaffolders, who were also polite and friendly. The whole process was handled well by everyone with no pressure tactics to make decisions quickly. I was impressed that we did not have to pay anything upfront and in fact, full payment was only paid when we were happy with the system fully up and running at the end. The app that was installed on our phone is extremely useful to monitor the system and also helps to see what electricity is being generated/used etc. All in all, I would highly recommend Ask Renewables Ltd if you are looking for a Solar Panel system to be installed on your premises as they did an excellent job with ours. They are also a ‘Which Trusted Trader’ which you can check on the appropriate website.

ASK Renewables supplied & installed a solar PV system together with battery storage at our property. This was a daunting prospect but we needn’t have worried because we were in good hands. From the very first telephone call to completion and beyond they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I fully concur with the many positive comments here, however a couple of items stand out for me. Firstly, out of all the traders I contacted they were the only one that insisted on performing an on-site survey before providing a quote. This caused a slight delay but it was well worth the wait. In my mind this is essential as any unforeseen problems can be uncovered at an early stage and dealt with before the quotation. It also gives you the chance to discuss your requirements face-to-face with the designer and ask as many questions as you like. Secondly, how a trader reacts to an issue that arises after completion and you've parted with your money is key. In our case an issue arose weeks after completion that was not ASK's fault. I phoned them to simply ask for their advice, however I was pleasantly surprised when they immediately offered to send someone out to sort this issue. They were not under any obligation to do this and it is a mark of a truly outstanding company. Finally, when the time came to apply for a SEG tariff with our energy supplier all the necessary certification and documentation had been correctly supplied. We would not hesitate to recommend ASK Renewables to anyone.

We decided to contact Ask Renewables after reading the wonderful reviews on the Which website and we wholeheartedly agree with their comments. Sam (in the office) skillfully guided us through the process and arranged for Tom to carry out a site visit. He asked us what we would like before mentioning any of their products and this was very refreshing as previous quotes were quite heavy on sales patter. Tom discussed where would be best to site the inverter and batteries and after an inspection of the roof and measurements we had another chat to discuss what size of array was possible and our options on which type of inverter/batteries might best suit. There was no pressure to order a specific set up and we soon received a detailed quote from Tom which set out everything with a clear price. We tweaked it slightly - adding extra batteries (for future proofing) as we intend to purchase another EV in a couple of year's time. Once we accepted the quote we were looked after by Sam again who applied for the DNO regarding the 5 Kw inverter. It came back quickly so Sam booked our installation for 21st March 2023. Scaffolding was erected 2 days before the 3 installers arrived. We were amazed at how smoothly/quickly the installation went and were guided through installing the monitoring app onto our phones before they left - fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly guys. We highly recommend the whole team at Ask Renewables! The system is already providing significant savings!

We had a visit from Neil on 23/01/23. He was very knowledgeable about the products and what we could realistically expect. He then did a very thorough job surveying our property, checking roof trusses, and possible position of the battery. A week later we received a very comprehensive quote and paperwork tailored to our property giving very clear breakdowns of what each component contributes to the system. Once we committed to the quote things moved very fast. There were no costs paid up front. Scaffolding arrived on Monday 13th February and the panels were fitted on Thursday 16th February. The fitters were very careful and respectful of the property and the fitting was completed in a single morning. We were set up with an app to monitor the panel’s production and the battery. Ask renewables monitored the solar yield to ensure all was working correctly before they sent out the invoice for the full payment. All the paperwork arrived a couple of weeks later and that enabled us to contact our energy provider to sell our excess energy to the grid. The whole process from start to finish was so easy. All the permissions were obtained by Ask on our behalf and we did not have to get involved. The company was very easy to contact and exceptionally knowledgeable about everything to do with the process from start to finish. We are so delighted with the company and the service they provided we recommended them to a friend who has also had panels fitted by Ask.

At the initial survey, Matt asked what system we required and carried out a thorough detailed survey followed by several questions before coming up with the proposal for solar panels plus battery storage. Within the next week, we received a very detailed but easily understood quotation. Matt was aware I was getting additional quotations but did not pressurise us or offer additional ‘incentives’. After obtaining two more quotations I decided to go with Ask Renewables. A date was set for the scaffolding to be erected with the installation taking place the following day. On the day of the installation, a team of two quickly and efficiently installed the solar panels, batteries, inverter and associated equipment. They left by mid-afternoon after tidying everywhere and explaining how to use the app to control the system. I have been very pleased with how the system works and the amount of energy produced by the panels. Found this company following a telephone call to the local Council to clarify planning requirements. My initial contact was with Tony, the owner of the company, a man who truly is an expert in this field of work. After a detailed chat about specifications and outputs he put me in touch with Ed, one of the design and planning team that ASK Renewables have. Ed came to survey the property and talk to my wife and I about what we wanted from the system. A rare find - someone who asks the customer what they want before thrusting what he wants to sell.10 days later we had the fully detailed and very easy to understand quotation with all necessary facts and figures including the total cost of system. I wanted to check out with previous customers and see examples of the work performed and soon had 3 names and address for me to make contact with. In every case ASK Renewables had gained high praise from these customers. A DNO Application was then made, handled by Sam at the office, and within a short space of time we had the go ahead. 10 days later the team were onsite bright and early. Dean led the team and from pulling up on the drive to the system being fully operational by mid afternoon the 3 technicians works with care and showed their expertise in all aspects of the fitting. They left but not before every inch of the patio and garage had been swept and tidied. 5 weeks on we are making significant savings, on many days being Grid Neutral, what is not to like.

We appreciated ASK's way of doing business. They sent a locally-based surveyor (Tom) to talk to us about what might work best for our needs. No pushy salesman tactics, just practical advice and an idea of the costs & benefits involved. This was followed by a professional written quote, setting out in detail exactly what ASK recommended, with all the technical specs. When we decided to proceed, no payment was required until the installation was completed & working. Dealing with ASK during the planning & installation was easy. Most contact was with Sam at head office, who responded promptly and solved any queries or concerns. The 20 panel installation was carried out in one day, by a cheerful, hardworking team. I went up on the roof and in the loft several times during the work, because I was interested and wanted to be confident of the quality. I observed conscientious, careful practice - taking the extra time to run a cable neatly, or to ensure a fixing was secure. Before they left I was given a briefing on the basics and set up with the management app on my phone. We later received a smart folder with all the system manuals, safety certificates and warranty information, etc. Four weeks later, our expectations have been fully met and more. Even at this time of year, the system has provided 62% of all our electricity. Between Apr-Sep we'll be self-sufficient, selling surplus energy back to the grid. The system will pay for itself in about 5yrs.

Sam and Tom are an amazing team dedicated to bringing renewables into our reach. They had time to answer questions and were clear in their explanations. There was no pressure selling at all - just good clear information. They installed solar panels with a battery back up on two of our properties with as much disruption as a cat sleeping in front of a warm fire! Their aftercare is also first class and one of their experts, Tony, put on a brilliant face-to-face education session on understanding the online monitoring of the performance of the panels as well as explaining how to get the best value from them. when it comes to solar panels don't ask for anyone else, ask renewables.

Ask renewables have just installed solar panels and batteries for our bungalow. The whole process from start to finish was handled in a highly professional way and with no pressurised selling. The initial survey by Ed was very informative and all aspects explained clearly. The quote and projections were comprehensive and delivered quickly with a very competitive price. All queries were answered quickly either by Ed or Sam in the office. The installation was carried out without hassle and with no mess, The electrician and roofers were courteous and helpful. It is too early to comment on the financial implications but I have no doubt that these will live up to expectations.

Really impressed with Ask Renewables Ltd. From the initial consultation with the surveyor Matt to the erection of scaffolding and solar panel installation by a lovely bunch of guys. Advantages of having this company install your solar panels: 1) No salesmen - everything was explained very clearly and concisely 2) No pressure selling - I didn't have to make a decision on the day in order to get a discount on the price. 3) Free surveyor visit - this was the only company that sent a surveyor out to look at my house, the roof, in the loft and take all relevant measurements and make suitable recommendations. 4) Quoted price was the sale price - there was no negotiating as this price was very competitive compared to other companies that I received quotes from. 5) No deposit required - again (unlike the other companies) they asked for no payment until the work had been completed and I was completely satisfied. 6) Full payment not requested immediately after install - the company monitored the solar pv system remotely for a week to check for any potential teething problems before they requested payment. 7) No immediate install - I had to wait up to 45 days before the panels could be fitted due to them requesting permission for the install of a higher power inverter. This meant that I can use more of the energy generated rather than exporting it to the grid. Customer service provided by Sam and Tony was second to none and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We have had a solar panel installation recently completed by ASK Renewables. The service provided has been excellent from start to finish. We obtained a number of quotes, but we chose ASK because they provided a thorough survey before we made any commitment and took time to explain how the system works and more importantly to listen to what we were looking for. It was clear throughout the process that not only the survey team but the admin side and installers have a clear understanding of panel installation and functioning. The survey suggested a certain configuration, but on install, the installation team suggested one panel be moved for greater efficiency. The installation was carried out smoothly, efficiently and on schedule. The team took time to explain how the app works, which we spend lots of time checking. We have now had the system for two months and we are delighted with the results and even over these winter days we are almost self sufficient in electric power. ASK provided a thoroughly exceptional and professional service. We would and already have recommended them.

The project was completed much quicker and the output potential of the panels is better than I had been led to expect by other suppliers. The work was done very competently and very tidy. The system design for panels and battery was well adapted to the property situation and close monitoring has shown a January result of covering 53% of my electricity usage (including car charging).

The job is done and works well. I have a house which faces South but the roof is awkward due to a dormer window and a gable end. One solar panel company said it was impossible to mount panels on my roof because of its shape. The daughter of my partner used ASK to install panels on the roof of her new house and they were impressed. So I used ASK and they installed eight panels, very neatly and professionally, together with two large batteries in my loft. The installation worked like a charm and was completed in one day for the agreed price. We are very glad we chose Ask Renewables to provide our solar power system. We sought a number of quotes, and found it hard to decide which systems and providers to use. A number of factors tipped us toward Ask, and we are glad we made the choice we did. Firstly, Matt provided a very thorough survey. We were comforted by the trouble he took to really look over our property and help us choose the right system configuration for us. He was careful, kind, listened, and did not pressurise us at all. We were especially pleased to be able to afford a system with a modular battery storage, that allowed us to get the storage we wanted at a price that was reasonable compared to some other systems. Second, Sam in the office is fab and was good at keeping us updated on GNO applications, dates and the like. Third, the installers did a lovely job. They were polite, again listened to what we thought re location of equipment, and we felt safe in their hands. Fourth, Sam was good at post-installation liaison, Tony took us through the online portals and monitoring carefully, and we are confident that if we need help, they will provide it. We had one part that needed changing after a minor installation issue, and this was done quickly, well and transparently. Overall, the team came across as honest, careful, and trustworthy. We felt they listened to us and helped us choose and design the system we wanted. I'm confident that if we need after-sales service, they will deliver this too.

I phoned ASK Renewables Ltd to ask advice and get a quote for a battery to store electricity from our solar panels. Despite finding out that the company did not cover our area Samantha was more than happy to share her knowledge and expertise with us. We had solar panels and a battery installed on our house. We received a visit from one of Ask's surveyors who was great at talking through options, giving us different ideas, and we felt he was really honest about the benefits and drawbacks of the system. We were offered an installation date within a few weeks and this was stuck to with the installers arriving promptly. The team were polite and tidy and left behind a really neat job. The electrician also talked us through the basics of how to use the app to monitor our electricity. Following the installation we received all the paperwork we needed within around a week and then had a detailed video call with the owner of the firm to talk through the software and data in more detail, so we can monitor and maximise the benefit from the system. Ask also monitor the system for any errors on a daily basis so this provides reassurance. For somebody who knows a little, but not a lot, about how these systems work, everything was clear and the company were very helpful. We're very happy with the outputs from our system particularly considering we are in one of the darkest months of the year! We contacted a couple of traders for quotes and Ask seemed in line with the market rate. We have been recommending them to friends and family already!

Five start service every step of the way! Everything was communicated in a professional and friendly manner. The install team were amazing, and even though it started raining heavily in the afternoon, they went the extra mile to ensure everything was finished, and especially that I was happy with everything before they left. The after service has been great too, with training in the software provided over teams. Sam and Tony run a great company, can't thank them enough.

ASK Renewables installed an array of solar panels on my roof, along with a battery and inverter inside my house. From first to last they have been brilliant, going the extra mile at all times. When I first contacted them, they were too busy to take the job immediately, but took the time to phone me, talk through the details of what I wanted and answer every question I could think of. When they were ready to take the job they sent a surveyor (not a salesman as other companies did) who was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I never felt under any pressure (as, again, I did with other companies). They took the time to plan the project properly and cost it out for me, it wasn't a back-of-an-envelope deal. The work was done promptly and punctually, I was kept informed at all times, and everyone I came into contact with was friendly, helpful, respectful, and hardworking. The actual job took under a day to complete, and I couldn't be happier. The ASK Renewables team is still available at the end of the phone and have been wonderfully patient and supportive as I get used to the system. To add to all that, the price was more reasonable than anything I was offered by any other company. I'd recommend them to anyone - in fact I have been recommending them to friends already. They're an excellent company.

We subsequently received a detailed quotation complete with illustrations, calculations and data sheets. We were kept informed during the process, and appointments were kept. We'd been looking into getting solar panels for a while and were a bit overwhelmed with all of the info out there. We'd been targeted by a few Facebook ads and had some awful experiences trying to get reasonable quotes, with massive variety around the figures and some really unscrupulous sales people - one who refused to give us a quote until we'd completed a 90 min sales pitch and committed to taking it up unseen (!) We nearly gave up, but then checked Which? for renewables providers with the highest ratings and found Ask Renewables. It's been a different experience entirely. No pressure, in fact, the person who quoted us said that we'd find the info useful to take with us to get other quotes. They've been clear, explained everything brilliantly to us as complete novices, and the work was completed to a high standard and efficiently. They were there when they said they would be and all is up and running brilliantly! We're so impressed that I've asked them to get in touch with my dad to quote him too. Would definitely recommend without reservations.

I have been looking at solar for a few years. Anthony phoned me back after my enquiry and asked a few additional questions. He then provided me with a competitive quote. We had further questions which we received prompt responses for. I was kept updated with updates with my G99 application as it was a 5KW system. The scaffolders came 2 days beforehand to install and were very clean and polite. The roofers arrived on the day and double all checked details before starting the installation. The electrician arrived to complete the install. The scaffolding remained for a further 7 days. Samantha phoned to check all was working as expected. Answered my further questions with the phone app. Samantha walked me through all web site details as they were slightly better than the phone app. This was a really easy process. I will complete a review of my usage and battery storage in the April next year. They are good firm run well and very helpful. If you are thinking about solar get in touch. I have already passed ASK details onto colleagues as work and family.

Survey done on date agreed for solar installation, loads of advice around optimal number of panels and batteries etc... installation on agreed day, scaffolding put up the previous working day - by a couple of capable and polite lads. Ben the spark was brilliant adapting some bits of my roof space to make a super neat job. installers on the roof Mark and Rob were really helpful and diligent, did a great job and had it done by mid afternoon, system up and running really swiftly with mobile app to help run the system, followed by a telephone tutorial a couple of days later to optimise the system. Not often i bother to do a review but this company was outstanding and i would completely recommend them from start to finish.

A full house survey was done and a system recommended with a detailed quote. Once I accepted the quote a date was agreed for installation. The two fitters arrived mid morning and had completed installation of solar panels, inverter and two batteries by five thirty pm. They explained how the LuxPower app worked which effectively gives a complete picture of what is happening with the system. The system has been running for five weeks with no problems whatsoever. Today's service could not be faulted. From arrival to departure the guys worked their socks off during a very hot afternoon. The team were polite and courteous and willing to answer any questions we had. The electrician took time to help in downloading the app as we struggled, this was really supportive to me. We have just had ten solar panels installed on our south facing roof. The work was booked in with a brief outline of the work involved. The electrician arrived at the appointed time to install an isolator switch very neat and efficient. The scaffolders came next at the appointed date with a conformation phone call the day before so we could move hanging baskets and an outdoor table in advance. The scaffolders took care to protect the paving by placing timber battens under the metal tubing. The solar panel team came on the appointed day and time introduced themselves, outlined the work they would be doing, eased my concerns about the routes of the electrical cabling and how the panels would be fitted to the roof. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble as they proceeded with the work and things were left in a clean and tidy manner.

ASK have been helpful and approachable from start to finish. Sam, who runs the office, contacted me first and explained everything, she was always available to answer questions and replied very promptly to my e:mails. The guys who installed the panels were friendly and professional. Arrived early, did the job, cleaned up and explained everything I needed to know - including the techie bits. Ben (electrician) arrived first and very quietly but efficiently prepared for roofers to arrive. As a team, they worked, quietly, and efficiently and were very personable and polite. Sam is very knowledgeable and explained everything, I was wanting to price up a battery but she suggested waiting a year to monitor. This shows great integrity, as it would have been very easy for her to sell me a battery.

The engineers arrived on site and started to get on with the work straight away. The electrician and one of the installer went up into the loft to check it out and discovered some damp spots on the roof. It turned out that we had some cracked tiles. He said not to worry about it as he would sort it out. He went out and checked the tiles then went to get some new ones for no charge to us. In the meantime the electrician was fitting the equipment in the loft.After the new tiles were fitted the solar panels were fitted . The work was completed and we were shown how to set up my iPad to check the system. I have to say how we were impressed how they all worked to get the work done . Very pleased with everything.

ASK quoted me for roof-sited solar panels and battery storage, along with two other Trusted Traders from Which? There's proved the best for my needs. Their people were very accommodating to my numerous queries and communication between us was very good. Installation was delayed a few days because of high winds, but all went well on the planned day. The fitters were courteous, worked hard, finished on time, and tidied up well. Still remaining in contact with ASK for further technical assistance with exporting excess power. Very pleased with the whole installation and no hidden charges.

Work carried out efficiently in minimal time. The Lads work was neat and tidy and any concerns were explained. A first class job well done.

On the day they turned up early and got straight to work. All three of them were very nice and quickly got down to business, which they all seemed very experienced in. The fitted the panels and electrics within the agreed time frame and then we were talked through any questions and paperwork without being rushed. The property was treated with respect and they were very understanding of our pets.

The two fitters did an excellent job and left the area clean and tidy. Would like to know what all the boxes and switches are for. Also, the surveyor could have done a better job as with some adjustment another two panels could be fitted. On the whole, a good job in installing the panels fitted.

Recently had solar panels and batteries installed by Ask Renewables. The installation was completed as scheduled with no issues at all, most impressed with the tradesmen who did the work and would recommend. Antony went to some trouble to research the equipment we wanted, which was different from what I imagine most users ask for, where other suppliers told us it wasn't possible. Top marks all around.

Investment in solar is significant, so it's important to find the right company and people to do the job, but it can be difficult. I had several quotes, but I felt there were trust and confidence issues with many, whether it was pushy salesmen just trying to get their commission or people who would confuse me with waffle and tell me anything just to get my signature. I had many questions spinning around in my head that just weren’t being addressed. After putting it off several times and nearly giving up, I thought I’d give it another go and found Ask Renewables. On first contact with Tony, it just felt right. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns clearly without confusing me with jargon. The quote was extremely competitive, I’d been quoted thousands more with other companies for about the same specifications. Communication with Ask was excellent and I was kept informed at every stage of the process. The lads who came to do the job were polite, friendly and very efficient and completed everything in no time. I can’t recommend this company enough. We have just had 10 solar panels and 2 battery storage units fitted. Tony visited us as soon as our initial enquiry was made, and made suggestions after we explained what we required. He carried out a comprehensive site survey and then we were sent a detailed quotation covering the units for installation and a prospective return on our capital outlay. After agreeing to the quotation, everything worked like clockwork. All timings and dates for scaffolding and installation were kept to, and Dean and the rest of the installation crew were extremely efficient, polite and only left the site after making sure it was left clean and the system was working as expected. We would definitely recommend ASK Renewables and their installers.

I've had 12 solar panels fitted and this company have been amazing right from the beginning. Samantha has kept in regular contact with me, explaining everything in a way I could understand and double-checking I was happy all the way along. We've had plenty of notice when the surveyor was coming, again when the scaffolding was going to be put up and also when the panels were going to be fitted. The 2 chaps who came today to fit the panels and switch us on were lovely, hardworking, polite and very efficient. Despite the uncomfortable hot weather they just did not stop. They then downloaded my app on my phone and explained how it worked. I could not have asked for better from beginning to end and would definitely recommend this company.

We had a problem with our inverter, contacted Ask Renewables and Tony talked me through checking our system and how to check the inverter for fault codes. I would not hesitate to recommend ASK Renewables. Outstanding! I contacted multiple companies when searching for a reputable solar installer and ASK Renewables were open, honest and professional from the outset. Even before I had agreed for ASK Renewables to complete the work, Tony and Samantha made me feel like my installation was 'personal' for them. I was not just another customer. Tony designed a bespoke system that would meet our personal needs, not just an 'off-the-shelf' package. He even incorporated my own personal research and preferences regarding solar storage by installing a new battery. The system was installed on time and professionally. The NAPIT & MCS certification arrived within a couple of days. DNO (Distribution Network Operator) approval came through within a 10 working days. Throughout the whole process, both Tony & Samantha were easily contactable via email & telephone. I have already recommended them to a number of neighbours and colleagues. Since our installation 2 weeks ago, we have generated 277KwH of electricity, which would have cost us approximately £43. We have only imported 12.3KwH of electricity, costing less that £2 in 2 weeks! We have exported 146.3KwH to the National Grid, potentially earning us £8. Doesn't sound much, but its better than nothing!

We had solar panels fitted yesterday and it was such a positive experience. When Anthony came for his initial visit to give us our quotation, he displayed exactly the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. This is a family-run company and the personal side appealed to me; Anthony told us what products he used in his house, and I trusted him from the start. The quotation was prompt and very reasonable. The installation itself involved minimal disruption; the scaffolding arrived on Tuesday afternoon, Anthony and his team arrived on Wednesday morning. We were talked through the process so we knew exactly what to expect. The team were friendly, polite and efficient. The installation was complete shortly after 3pm. Anthony then sat down with us and gave us a thorough explanation of our system and how to monitor it. Everyone respected COVID-19 safety precautions. And even on a grey November morning, our panels are powering the house and charging the battery! Can't recommend this company highly enough.

Work was agreed upon after discussion with Antony Stewart. No pressure selling here. Very informative and polite. Took time to explain the benefits of solar energy and left us to read and digest everything. Workmen arrived the day before and erected scaffolding. Very tidy and well mannered. Installation team arrived next day and the job was finished the same day. They left no mess and were really professional. The panels work excellent and the work was completely checked by Tony and Sam to make sure we were satisfied.All in all a very pleasant experience, excellent teamwork. It appeared that our solar pv inverter had failed. the company who originally installed the system appeared to have gone out of business so we searched the Which Trusted Traders website. This company was we thought within striking distance of us in the North of England but nevertheless about 80 miles away. Tony asked salient questions about the symptoms displayed by our inverter and explained the possibilities but did not want us to feel pressured if a replacement inverter was necessary and reminded us that more local companies may be able to do the work more cheaply and quickly. We were reassured by the Which endorsement and decided to go with them. The work was in fact done earlier than planned which delighted us and the technicians worked efficiently, speedily and tidily. Tony communicated with both the technicians and us during the work to ensure that we wanted them to be the ones to replace the inverter. He explained every stage clearly in plain English. The work came in just under the estimate and we would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Tony and Samantha of Ask Renewables proved excellent service over a period of about a month. The first problem which I had was a faulty RCD which required replacing, the diagnosis was conducted over the phone and a technician was sent within a day of reporting the fault to carry out the repair A few weeks later the inverter which was still under warranty failed. The diagnosis over the phone resulted in Ask Renewables contacting the makers of the inverter for a replacement. This was obtained within 10 days and installed an excellent result. My original installer had gone into liquidations 5 yrs ago

We used Ask as they were on the Which? recommended list. We were very happy with the price of the panels and fitting and now they are installed they are working well. The whole process was very professional and involved no pressure whatsoever. The initial inspection was done by a technician and a report and quote emailed through a day or so later, there is then no further contact unless you contact them, very professional. The installation was completed in a few hours by two very efficient technicians. We are very happy with the outcome and would recommend the firm to anyone.

Chose this company as a Which trusted trader and they have been a real pleasure to deal with from sales to surveying, fitting and follow up. Friendly personal service, explained everything thoroughly (even things we hadn't considered). We decided to go for a slightly more expensive panel with individual inverters which also happened to look slightly better. When the fitters arrived they asked whether we would like a single row as our roof is long and this would look better without affecting the output. We are very pleased with the result and our system immediately starting producing free electricity. Ask Renewables did not require any money up front and that kind of trust is commendable and sadly unusual these days. Exceptional service throughout and thoroughly recommend them without hesitation.

This company have been great. I found them through the which and mcs referral process. And they have come in with an open and honest approach to my needs and wants for renewable energy. They could have sold the most expensive product to me but I appreciated that they told me wot I would need based on my property and my individual needs. They told through the whole process and explained all in a very easy to understand way. And they were able to fit solar panels quickly and efficiently. They have also been very good with aftercare process so far.

We had solar panels fitted in a very professional way with prompt and speedy service. The issue identified before the installation of the panels was that our roof probably wouldn't have been strong enough to be unscathed after the installation process. So a very competitively priced re-tiling & felting was offered and carried out as part of the solar installation. The whole process was professionally delivered and any damage corrected and with very close support from beginning to end. We would recommend the company 100% for all aspects of the work; including working with our other contractors who were on site.
