I recently had a door and window replacement by Barnet Window Company. Paul from the sales team took my order and the door came in several weeks early. I was lucky that I knew exactly what door style and brand I wanted so the order process was effortless. The price was reasonable compared to others I have seen but not the cheapest on the market. I would say the service definitely worth any extra cost. Abby then booked my installation date in and even moved it a few days earlier due to a cancellation. I was then extremely lucky to have Kim handle the installation on the day. His service was excellent and it took just over 5/6 hours to get the door and window replaced. He was able to correct a cosmetic issue caused by the old door not being level. Fixing a large gap around the door where the old plaster ended. The finished product looked superb, no detail spared and I would highly recommend this company!

I have recently had Barnet windows to install my windows at the front of my house. They were efficient, friendly and reliable. When they said they would o things they did and having them in my own was easy and I felt very safe. I was changing a lot of windows which were sash and I wanted to maintain that feeling and the style and look is so completely lovely and modern for a composite I am chuffed to bits. I would totally recommend them to people as I had 2 other people come round who just looked at our area and inflated the price. One even did not give a quote after chasing. Barnet windows were fab!

From designing & ordering my own front door online via an on-site survey to make sure that everything will fit until delivery and installation - it all went extremely smooth and very professional. The installer, Kim Morris, did an outstanding job. Minimal dust, minimal noise, very quick (well, I'd do it a lot slower and likely end up with a tilted door) and after the job he left the place cleaner than how we welcomed him ;-) I learned from Kim that Barnet Window Company Ltd is a small family company, which suddenly clarified a lot, as there was this personal touch to the whole process that you don't find with larger companies. Great job, I highly recommend them and will certainly return if I ever need more doors or windows!

Very pleased and weather proof now with our new windows. Whole process was very smooth and installation (while of course a bit noisy and dusty for a few days) was done to a high quality finish and left pretty clean. Windows have now lived through a couple of squally days and have done a great job, clearly a high quality product and installed with care and craft. There will be cheaper options out there I’m sure, but with two large bays, a stable door and other windows we thought good value and a professional experience all round. Level of making good on completion was better than I expected and all we need to do is paint.

The overall Barnet Window Company (BWC) experience exceeded expectations. The BWC team performed as set out on the website. The design options were developed with BWC input and cost implications clearly set out. The on-site survey process worked well and appropriate care given to ensuring the important details were communicated to our Builder. We made some late changes prior to final sign off and these were accommodated in an effective and helpful way. The installation was undertaken in a professional manner and very satisfactorily. All agreed dates and cost estimates prior to placing the order were achieved. Follow up documentation covering warranties is in process and we feel confident that this will be undertaken satisfactorily. Thank you to all of the Barnet Window Company team.

We have now used Barnet Windows for two jobs. The first was a new front door and surrounding windows for our porch, the second was new windows for our kitchen. On both occasions the service and quality of the works carried out were exemplary. Every person I have dealt with at this company has been friendly, efficient and professional throughout - from Tommy, who handles the initial site visits, through to the office staff, surveyor accounts personnel and fitters. This company are probably not the cheapest around but the value for money in terms of products, service and all-round peace of mind is worth that bit extra. I would have no hesitation in using this company for further works and highly recommend them.

I am extremely pleased with the work carried out by Barnet Windows to replace all the windows in my first floor flat. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Great customer service, reasonable price and work carried out to a very high standard. They worked around a problem with outside access to the rear of my property, and even built a ledge for my cat to look out of one of the windows!

Our external door from the kitchen to garden and rear door to the garage needed replacement. I had ongoing problems with the original kitchen door requiring several visits by the company to rectify. These repairs/modifications were never carried out to our satisfaction, which led to the new doors being ordered. The entire process from enquiry to site visit, surveying, etc... and eventually the removal of the old and the fitting of the new, was carried out with friendly professionalism. Throughout the entire time, communication via emails and texts kept us abreast of everything. Overall, the process was seamless, the work was carried out to our satisfaction and the product quality second to none. I would highly recommend Barnet Window Company.

Barnet Window Company installed two windows and a door on our garage. The company communicated very well with us at every stage of the process (including an initial consultation, talking us through the options and sending detailed design drawings for what was, on the face of it, a pretty basic job). This stood in stark contrast to some other companies we had tried to get quotes from. The work itself was also of a very high standard. If there was a tiny gripe on my part it would be that we had to wait three months for installation... but then again the company is clearly in high demand, which speaks volumes for the quality of the workmanship.

I picked BWC because it is a family-run firm and has a good reputation. There are certainly a lot of happy customers that have posted reviews here. But all of this changed for me when I started to experience problems with the windows they installed in 2016 and 2018, purported to be a 'premium product' and claimed 'to last longer than cheaper versions'. Initially they were very helpful, and would come out to fix the problems under the guarantee. But when problems start to occur even before final payment has been made, callouts under the guarantee happen multiple times a year, and items that are 'fixed' break again within a short period of time or the same problems happen to other windows, there is clearly a more fundamental issue with the installed products. BWC was initially helpful with raising these points with the manufacturer, even stating in writing that 'it is clear that these problems are clearly manufacturing issues'. But this changed as soon as they became aware that it is the retailer, not the manufacturer, that is legally liable under consumer law. Suddenly BWC started to claim that all of the issues - sections of my windows falling off (10 times) and gaps appearing in my 'energy-efficient' windows to let in cold draughts (8 times) - are merely 'cosmetic issues'. I have offered them the chance to retract their assertion - particularly as it contradicts their previous stance - but as they are standing by it I feel I have no choice except to post this review.

We wanted our front door replaced with a Solidor so we turned to Barnet Window company as they were local to us and had excellent reviews. From my initial email to Tommy, Steve surveying, Abby arranging installation and Kim doing the actual install, the level of customer service has been excellent. At each step (ordering, surveying and installation) everything was properly explained and timing expectations were managed due to Covid. On the day of the install Kim arrived on time, was diligent, fast, clean and did a great job. Could not ask for more. Very happy with the new door and I have already enquired out about replacing my windows. In my experience the reviews were accurate and I would highly recommend this well run family business.

I had Barnet windows install a door a few years back. Due to being directly in the sun it's expanded/contracted multiple times over these years, loosening things up a bit. Upon calling up they set up a service straight away and came over within a few days to sort the door. Brilliant service, Andy was great. Highly recommend.

Kim Morris was our installer and he was excellent. Very courteous and conscientious, and made sure we were updated of his progress. From our first contact with Barnet Windows to order a Solidor front door, we were impressed with the professionalism and friendliness we experienced. Under COVID distancing regulations, Tommy visited us to do the initial measurements and to go over estimated costs. Because of the way our house is built and some specific features we wanted retained, we needed a second visit from Steve the surveyor, and we finalised our order. The buying process was clearly explained and the team were transparent about possible manufacturing delays due to the pandemic. The dealings we had with the admin team were all prompt, polite and very helpful to us. The install was done last week. Dave the installer turned up on time first thing, and we liked his approach to the work. He protected our hall with dust sheets and he cleaned as he went along - by the time he left we think our porch was cleaner than before he arrived! He worked through to mid-afternoon when the job was completed, not even pausing during some quite heavy rain showers. The final finish was perfect. We cannot fault the quality of work or the product. We can’t recommend Barnet Windows and Solidor enough.

Installation of a single Solidor front porch door with side panels performed in a single day. The installation was very well planned for Covid safety and the initial installation was performed in a very safe, efficient and tidy manner. There were 2 clear problems with the install: one side panel moved, rubber seal inside one glass unit torn in side panel and 2 moot points: gap inside between frame and side panel and top of door frame not sealed from the outside (sealed from inside). Barnet Windows rectified all issues to my satisfaction quickly and without quibbling, which is to be highly praised in a supplier. The only negative that I have to report is that I do wish that the supplier had applied more thorough quality control to the materials and the installation which may have reduced the number of required visits to finish the job. This is especially important during this Corona Pandemic although I must stress that supplier acted safely and responsibly at all times: mask ..... etc.

Barnet Window Company installed two bedroom windows for us. One was a complex French door with windows. This was done under covid lockdown conditions. They conducted a thorough risk assessment before they came to install. Advance planning was the key to the success of this project. The fitters were friendly, courteous and worked hard so that the job could be completed in one day. While they worked, an inspector arrived to make sure all was well. The work was completed on time, on budget and we are delighted with our heritage windows. They fit beautifully into our period property. The fitters cleaned up after their work was done and they removed all rubbish. I highly recommend Barnet Windows to anyone - we will certainly have them back for further work.

Barnet Window replaced our two fire exit doors at St Paul's Church hall. The work was tendered out and they came in at the best price with the highest quality. There was a considered and careful survey undertaken with all considerations taken into account. The work was booked around a pre-school using the premises. It took tow teams a whole day to take out and fit these new doors and windows. Everything was considered in the fitting so that there was ample fold back of the doors, simple bar exit along with an additional thumb lock. The work was carefully tested and checked. It is a considerable improvement with the added insulation. A friendly and hard working team. Thank you, they come highly recommended.

On the install of a 4 panel bifold door. Scratched all glass. 15 panes required replacement in total. Damaged all frames. Subcontracted repair who sanded, filled, and spray painted in mismatching colour damaging wood grain effect. 5mm gap at top of doors, unsealed at bottom letting weather in. Handle not installed properly. Fittings fitted with half the required amount of screws. Confrontational staff. Non conforming to industry and contractual requirements. Expensive. These issues, in isolation, may be forgivable if Barnet windows would acknowledge their fault and cooperate in repairing as is their responsibility to, both morally and contractually. However they choose to blame everyone else for their failings, to include ignoring emails and behaving dishonestly denying any issues, even bizarrely blaming us the customer for them sending unqualified staff working without care or attention. I asked the managing director for the complaints procedure, he then became confrontational insulting us, refusing to pass it. They had multiple chances to put right over many months, with each visit the issues remained. Thankfully the door manufacturers engineers visited and put everything right in a few hours, highlighting Barnet Windows inabilities. Industry watchdogs, such as Which? Trusted Trader, have been setup to protect both consumers and the industry from this behaviour. Use a different company, you can do without the stress.

A huge thank you to the Barnet Window Company team. Our front door needed replacing and the entire process from start to finish went smoothly. There was regular communication from when the order was placed right through to installation. Kim Morris did the installation and he was brilliant, fitted to a high standard in record time, minimal mess and tidied up afterwards. He was also very cheerful. The door looks stunning! We are very satisfied, will be using them again and have already recommended Barnet Windows to the neighbours.

When burglars broke in through our patio doors we turned immediately to Barnet Windows, who we have used for many years. After much delay caused by Covid and our insurance company they fitted new doors this week which are better than he old ones. We chose Barnet Windows many years ago because they are a local company and quoted a good price. They continue to give a personal and professional service and we are pleased that they have grown and prospered.

Barnet windows replaced a massive bay window and large rear window. Chris and Spencer did a fantastic job fitting the windows and I can’t fault their excellent service. A good price, great service, highly recommend!

We used this company to fit 2 french doors 1 sliding patio door and a single door the installation guy was Kim Morris. I can’t recommend him highly enough he done an excellent job with minimum mess and disruption to us. We will definitely be using them again
