Beautifully Shuttered

Myself and my wife wanted a nice pergola. We researched the internet and found Yorkshire Pergolas. The reviews were very good, so we contacted them and arranged to visit their premises in Driffield. We were met by the owner Charlie who from the start was easy to talk to. He explained all we needed to know, showed us around the various pergolas on display and answered all our questions. He put no pressure on us to agree a purchase there and then. He was a delight to deal with and has a good sense of humour too. We arranged for him to come to our house and look at where we wanted to put the pergola. He arrived exactly at the time arranged and took all the time necessary to explain what was involved. He subsequently provided a price and we decided to go ahead. He kept us fully informed of the progress all the time, and as soon as the pergola arrived at his premises he contacted us to arrange fitting. This took two days, during which his employees were nothing short of excellent. They took great care, kept the area tidy, and were so polite. A credit to the company. On finishing the job, fitter Dee explained and demonstrated how the handheld remote control worked. Charlie also came to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Which it was. It has been a pleasure meeting Charlie and his fitters. Thank you for an excellent job. We now look forward to sitting under our new pergola, sipping wine, and listening to the Brazilian Rain Forest. (Ask Charlie, he knows what I mean).

We needed a made to measure Pergola and found Yorkshire Pergolas on the internet. Dealing with Charlie has been easy and straight forward. He showed us the product and options and it was clear the quality far exceeds that of a garden centre. The timescale from order to installation was as promised and Carl and De turned up as expected to build the Pergola and throughout the process they ensured attention to detail at every stage. We are so pleased with our Pergola. After visiting Charlie’s showroom in Driffield we realised the quality of his pergolas far exceeds anything you’d find in a garden centre. Everything was really straightforward and professional and when the team came to fit it, they worked hard all day and spent a lot of time making sure it was level and had great attention to detail. I would like to thank Charlie and the two fitters Carl & Dean for my beautiful pergola. We had a 4x3 pergola with 4 blinds. Carl & Dean never stopped working from the moment they got here, and they trebled checked every measurement to make sure everything was perfect. Very impressed and would recommend them.

Having previously seen pergolas but not in the size we wanted we discovered Yorkshire Pergolas. We initially spoke with Charlie and then visited the Driffield showroom, where De showed us the various pergola designs and the optional extras available. We decided on the Vista Style pergola with sliding shutters on one side, zips on two sides, LED spotlights and coloured LED strip lighting. Installation was delayed due to us having a new patio laid during which Charlie worked with us and when we were ready, installation was scheduled for the following week. The installation was completed by De, Ian and Charlie whose attention to detail is meticulous e.g. the middle post was 5mm too long (caused by the patio slabs installed after the site visit and not Charlie’s measurements😆), which some companies would just leave but not De, he cut the post so it was the correct length and fitted exactly. Once installation was complete, the team did not leave the site until they were happy that everything worked correctly. We would highly recommend Yorkshire Pergolas for the value and quality of the product, meticulous attention to detail and workmanship. Charlie is not a pushy salesman but allows you to choose if and when you want to purchase a pergola. Yorkshire Pergolas are not the cheapest, but the quality of the pergola is exceptional and definitely not a cheap import. Thank you for an excellent product that we are looking forward to using in all weathers for many years to come.

Entirely satisfied with all aspects of my Pergola installation. The entire process was smooth and the attention to detail first class. De and Carl who worked on the actual construction were meticulous in their work. Charlie who led the team from design to completion was a pleasure to work with, offering sensible advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble. The project came in on schedule and to the agreed budget. Very happy with the end product and a great addition to our garden.

I saw Yorkshire Pergolas on YouTube and thought they looked good. So we contacted Charlie and he gave us a quote. We traveled up to Driffield and chatted through all the options which was very useful! They looked strong and also attractive. He came down for a site visit and we chose the RAL custom colour to match the windows. We had to wait a little longer for the custom colour but we’re delighted when they came to install it. It matched perfectly! The install went very smoothly. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. I have been experimenting with the roof louvres being open, closed or at an angle. Also the shuttered sliding door look amazing and keep the draught off when fully closed. The blind the other side is a perfect colour too. The LED perimeter lights are great when it gets dark and light up bright if needed and can dim if required. We are very happy with the whole process and would recommend Yorkshire Pergolas!
