Our Neff microwave and oven were built in the kitchen units and had lasted 23 years when they needed changing. We were keen to use Bews as we knew they used their own staff to fit the units carefully unlike many electrical retailers who use contractors. Bews had a few years previously fitted a new built in fridge freezer for us which is tricky to align the cabinet doors and did an excellent job. We naturally assumed that we would get replacement Neff units, but when the engineer, Robert, came to measure up he advised us that new Neff units are no longer the quality German made units that we were replacing but are now made in China and built to a cost, rather than a high quality/reliable/long life product. We were grateful for this insight and opted to go with his recommendation to have Miele units which are made in Germany and high quality, long life units. They were carefully installed by Bews a few weeks later and we are delighted with them.

Our 10 year old Neff 'hide n slide' oven stopped working on Easter Sunday (mid roast) and knocked out the circuit breakers. Resigned ourselves to having to replace it and got as far as checking them out in store, but the latest designs weren't a good match for our other Neff appliances, and to get the same 'hide n slide' would mean spending £800. Asked Bews to come and see if they could rescue the existing oven. They came out and quickly identified the rogue component, recommended swapping another component at the same time, and within a week theyd installed them and our oven is working perfectly. Knowledgable, courteous and prompt, well worth calling the experts.

Our 15 years old dishwasher developed a fault and I was sure it was going to be a case of: Too old to repair - you'll have to buy a new one. But, no. The BEWS engineer called within a day of the first call and diagnosed the fault and he had the required spare part with him. Very impressed. I was also impressed with the care with which he worked and the resetting of the machine back into its housing, making sure everything lined up. Good job. Thank you.

A delightful family business to deal with from start to finish . The sales staff were helpful and informative and kept us up to date on delivery times . The engineer who installed the machine was friendly and professional and gave us a comprehensive demonstration of the machine’s features and capabilities. He also completed the set up features and left us with a washing machine ready to use . We didn’t have to pay anything until the appliance was installed and we were happy with it . An outstanding company we will use again and for any servicing / repairs in the future and have no hesitation in recommending

Bews Electrical repaired a Miele oven. At the same time the engineer checked out our 19 year old Miele washing machine and declared it in need of replacement. They would price match other suppliers with a new machine but remove/install at a lower price. They suggested a new model that was comparable in spec to the old one. The Bews electrical office communicated very well by phone/ e mail re delivery of new washing machine. Even though I had not paid for installation the engineer removed packaging of new machine and removed the stabiliser bars. All I had to was slide the machine into position, connect to water supply and plug in.All good! Excellent family business - thoroughly recommended

We have used Bews Electrical for many years when purchasing kitchen equipment. Their customer service is always outstanding. The Miele trained Engineer installed the freezer on time , checked it was working correctly & demonstrated the freezer functions. The entire installation went very smoothly with no problems. Bews Electrical came on behalf of Miele (washing machine which was leaking ) As it was still under the 2 year warranty the front door rubber seal was identified as the problem at the first visit . The engineer ordered the part and came back to fit it the following week. He fitted it quickly and efficiently and was most helpful on the washing machine and knowledgeable about the Miele brand . He left the kitchen clean and tidy after answering a couple of questions. Bews were nominated by Miele since our washing machine had broken down. They (Bews) phoned me as promised and arranged a visit within a few days. The engineer duly arrived, as arranged, and almost immediately identified the cause of the problem. He had a variety of spare parts in his van, so was able to replace the faulty sensor very quickly and efficiently. He was very friendly, tidy, and quick, completing the job within the suggested call-out time. He didn't even accept our offer of a cup of tea or coffee! Thanks very much, Paul and Bews. A small warranty repair. On time, very polite job carried out cleanly and effectively. Miele chose Bewes to do the repair, but if it wasn’t on warranty, I would choose them myself. Highly recommended.

Bews have always come to my rescue and March 12 was no exception. Engineer Paul was a delight to have in our home - cheerful, positive, professional. Our washing machine wasn't spinning properly and there was a build up of foam, however little washing powder I used. He gave the machine a complete overhaul and clean. He suggested I stop using a water softening agent in each wash as we already have a water softener and this could probably account for the build up. He worked quickly and efficiently and the bill was very reasonable. The machine is back to being the reliable old work horse every family needs. Thank you Paul - and Bews.

This was our second experience of Bewes. We carry insurance with Domestic & General for repairs to our white goods. In this case it was a Miele dishwasher. Previously we had been assigned Miele engineers however this has now changed so it would appear. First class service plus excellent attention to ensuring we were kept informed all the way along the repair route. And as for speed of repair once on the customer site - they don't hang around!!! With the second repair the service engineer was in the house for no more the two minutes, then off to his next job. What more can you ask ?

The work required removing my old washing machine and unpacking and fitting a new washing machine. My old washing machine was placed in the garage for me as I did not want to dispose of it. It was tested and my wife was shown through the controls and various useful programs the machine has, the guy then collected up all of the packaging and left.

I have used this company several times. They offer a personal old style service. Their advice is independent and honest and the quality of their service is at the very highest level I would have no hesitation in using their services again or recommending them to others The engineer was respectful, courteous and had a thorough knowledge of the product- that in this instance could not be fixed.

Our Miele frost free fridge freezer had become non frost free in the freezer and had started to warn up in the fridge. We have used Bews for many years, so we called to make an appointment and they attended the same day and fixed the problem.

A pressure switch had been replaced and the machine worked once but then stopped working. I tried 3 times but no joy. Then I tried using different programs. The first 2 did not work but the 3rd did work and it has continued to work since then. Robert could offer no explanation.

In response to an urgent call, they came quickly and were able to repair the washing machine at this visit. There has been no recurrence. Very pleased.

My old Bosch machine broke down and flooded my kitchen Bews guy attended promptly I was advised repair not possible I was given advice as to replacing with a reliable make -not Bosch- Machine was installed soon after and old machine removed. At first got an invoice rather than receipt even though I paid straight away which was a bit confusing but otherwise, great service and reassuring about future service.
