A routine gas safety inspection turned up a slow gas leak and the gas supply was capped, leaving me without heating and hot water. I rang Anthony Sawczuk at Bourne and explained the situation. He was able to come the next morning, installed a new gas pipe between meter and boiler, and provided a new gas safety certificate. What more can you ask? Well done!

I discovered a gas leak one evening at 6pm and my gas supply had to be shut off, leaving me without heating or hot water. Bourne Plumbing and Heating was recommended to me. I rang and got Tony, who to my great relief, was able to come first thing the next morning. He gave me advice about the necessary repair, but for my own peace of mind, I asked him to install a new gas supply pipe from meter to boiler. Tony had all the necessary materials on the van and completed the work within a few hours. He was fast, efficient, clean and tidy in my home. We had been recommended Anthony and contacted him to fit a new heating system and install a Viessmann boiler as part of our house renovation. We were really impressed with his work and his high standards. Helpfully, he was also available during and after the work, in the evenings and at weekends, with any questions or queries we had. I have used Anthony before and he has always done excellent work and been helpful and prompt in his response. On Sunday I found that my boiler was leaking and so I called Anthony and he came promptly the next morning. He identified the problem which was a leak in the plastic diverter valve, ordered the replacement part and then fitted it the next morning. He also provided good advice on using the boiler in the short interim between his ordering the valve and fitting it and on ensuring that the water pressure level was not too high. He is always helpful and polite and takes pride in his work. I have used Anthony on many occasions in the past (he re-fitted my bathroom last year) and, when my old central heating system ceased to function in February, I contacted him again for his assistance. I enlisted the help of Tony Bourne to deal with a leaking pipe in my bathroom. Despite huge demand on his time from other assignments, Tony came within an hour to deal with the problem. As usual, he carried out the work to my complete satisfaction. Mercifully, I have not had to call upon his services frequently but he has always responded quickly and effectively. His excellent reputation goes before him and I have nothing but praise for his professionalism.

We used Anthony after our neighbour recommended him. He was great. We had a leak coming through our kitchen ceiling and couldn’t figure out the source. Anthony visited twice, and after we figured out it was our bathroom tap leaking, he found the problem and fixed it straightaway which included going out to choose a suitable replacement tap. Tidied up after too. Tap is great and leak has stopped. He was very conscious of covid precautions too, was happy to wear shoe covers in the house and charged a fair price too. Would definitely use for all our future plumber needs.

Our boiler was flooded inside and Mr. Sawczuk quickly attended to it, installing a new boiler and filters. Later a power flush was done to the central heating system. The quotation paperwork was detailed and full. He left a folder for us with all the information about our new equipment and its aftercare, and went through the controls with us. He is also a very tidy worker. Highly recommended.

Live in Cornwall but required new Viessmann boiler for flat in London. Found Anthony through a third party and job completed by remote control(due to Covid) Guessed from the estimate that he knew exactly what he was doing and proved reliable and delivered on time.

I phoned Anthony having been recommended to him by our regular plumber of many years who has now retired. It was a small but irritating problem with our toilet cistern. The ball valve whined loudly when filling and was slowly leaking all the time. Anthony arranged to come later the same day. He arrived and carried out the job in about half an hour: replacing the ball valve with a much neater looking new one; he also renewed the isolating valve and pipework leading into the cistern which he discovered was faulty. Anthony was very professional and courteous but also friendly and personable. His work was of a very high standard, clean and tidy (he took away all the old debris) and his charges were reasonable in the circumstances. I would recommend Anthony to my friends.

The work was carried out to schedule over two separate weeks while we were away. On both occasions when returning from holiday the areas where work was carried out were immaculate. When unanticipated scaffolding was required, we were contacted and of course, agreed the additional cost. An extensive clearly explained estimate was given at the beginning and the work was carried out to the highest standards. Bourne Plumbing & Heating installed a new Viessman boiler into my flat. I found Bourne Plumbing & Heating to be extremely reliable and professional. Tony did a great job of installing the Viessman, taking consideration of prior work and making appropriate adjustments where necessary, fitting new piping, a thermostat, and new valves on each radiator. He took the time to explain everything to me, went through the paperwork, and showed himself to be very trustworthy and genuine. Tony was on time, tidy in his workspace, respectful, and showed overall excellent knowledge and confidence in the project he undertook. My boiler completely stopped working and needed to be replaced during a cold snap of weather - nightmare! Anthony carried out the job efficiently and professionally and was able to get my hot water and heating running again very quickly. We asked for replacing two leaky valves on taps. Anthony came on time, did the work in a very efficient manner. Charges were reasonable too. All in all, a very good experience, will call him again if we have issues on plumbing.

I have used Tony for many years, he has always been professional, always does the right thing and meets his commitments. Tony installed a boiler and maintained it for many years, always servicing it as required. He has changed loads of taps in the property always supplying and fitting quality taps. Tony also removed an old water tank which required ceilings to be removed, plastered and a larger hatch to be fitting in the new ceiling. Anthony and his team did a complete refurbishment of my bathroom, removing bath, toilet and basin+pedestal and old tiles and replacing with shower cubicle, toilet and basin+pedestal and re-tiling. Anthony gave useful advice about sourcing good quality materials. The work was completed on time and in accordance with the quotation, and I was kept informed at all stages. Additional work required was explained fully to me and extra costings agreed. The team were polite, friendly and kept disruption to a minimum. The work was carried out to a very high standard and I would definitely use them again without any hesitation.

Bourne plumbing just wow. Arrived when stated to replace an old boiler with a Viessmann boiler. The attention to detail is incredible and where the work was carried out all the mess removed and a full clean undertaken. A full demonstration of the new controls was given and what to do in any common situation with the boiler. After the install had been done a professional welcome pack was issued which contained all the new details and user manuals. A very nice touch. Also means when the boiler is serviced next all details are at hand. Great professional workmanship all round and would recommend to anyone.

Anthony had previously overhauled an existing sink tap during which he commented that the tap wasn’t very good quality. When the seal to the sink failed we phoned to ask for advice about getting a new one fitted. I told him what we wanted in a new tap and could he advise us. He made an appointment to come to look at it before which I emailed him to ask if he’d bring any suitable brochures. He arrived early and waited until we arrived back from a hospital appointment. He didn’t bring brochures but thoughtfully put 2 taps in his van which he thought would fit the bill. One was perfect and he said he would do it immediately if we wanted which he did and all was completed in just under an hour. The price was much as we expected and he sent an email with the cost the next day. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the attached invoice with the bank payment details and I phoned his landline 3 times to leave a message to ask for them before ringing his mobile and speaking to him. He said his voicemail was useless and always use the Mobile and he told me where to find the bank details. But for that, the Customer service would have been 5 stars.

Anthony Bourne carried out a very difficult piece of work in an awkward space in a loft, fitting a pump to an old system. He was very clear in how he did it, as it needed quite a lot of enterprise to succeed in achieving the result.

Tony supplied and installed a new 170L indirect Megaflo unit as a replacement for an existing one and made essential alterations to the domestic hot and cold water system. He also serviced our Veissman boiler. This is not an easy job to do as the mentioned meglaflo unit was large and very heavy, especially when it was carried upstairs! However Tony carried out all aspects of work without any complaints and worked late into the day to ensure that the works were finished to a high specification. I have nothing but praise for Tony and the skills and professionalism he brings when carrying out and completing a job. I have used Tony for many, many years and will continue to do so and recommend him for all heating and plumbing issues.
