I have used this firm twice in six months, most recently on 24th January to install a new Viessen bolier in substitution for a defective Woircester boiler and to flus out the centralk heating system. The system now woirks much better than it has done for may years

I had another trader (recommended by a friend) come in to do a service on a boiler and it was disappointing - a leak was not detected (to add insult to injury it then cost a fortune for a simple bracket to be replaced). I turned to Which?Local and found Tony Bourne listed - the prompt service was very welcome (he came out within a couple of hours). The fix was applied on the spot and I do not think that the cost was that prohibitive given the peace of mind that I got (and I think that these services are generally expensive). At least I can now trust someone to do the job properly. Highly recommended and will use Tony's services again I am sure.

Anthony did an overhaul of our ailing central heating, including the install of a Power Flush system. He also serviced the gas boiler and replaced a faulty shower mixer unit. And he replaced a leaking toilet cistern. The works were undertaken at intervals over several days; he always kept agreed times and kept us informed of progress - the shower mixer was a more difficult issue than expected but Anthony worked through it within the original estimate, despite some extra time required on his part. On each occasion he kept the working area tidy and cleaned up perfectly.

For years we have suffered from a damp cellar, and the source of the water ingress remained undetectable. Whilst gardening works were being done, our outside tap was found to be culpable, with a substantial leak underground. This was discovered just before the weekend, but Tony came and sorted the problem out the following morning. A professional job, which solved a long-standing mystery, at a reasonable price in the circumstances.

Tony installed a new Viessmann boiler for me. The old one was nearly 30 years old. As we needed to re-position the boiler due to new health and safety regulations Tony needed to lift carpets, lift floorboards, drill through joists and mount the boiler in a new place. He worked with a minimum of fuss leaving the property clean of an evening.

Tony repaired a section of soilpipe that was leaking onto our flat roof. While he was here, we also asked him to remove an old fluepipe from the wall above the flat roof and to replace a leaking garden tap with a new one. Tony was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. He carried out the work quickly and effectively, implementing a better solution for the soilpipe than had been in place previously. We would happily use his services again.

Tony was very efficient at replacing the sink waste and making alterations to secure the kitchen mixer tap. He didn't replace an outside tas as requested because I thought it was broken, but instead tightened it which did the job. I would definitely call him again.

Anthony, from Bourne Plumbing, has recently fitted a new tap in our bathroom. He has done a good job, solved a problem with the new pipe, which was slightly smaller than the old one. He has also done a couple of smaller jobs in the toilet. He was courteous, friendly. Would recommend him and use his services again.

Our ageing boiler broke down on Christmas Day and I called Tony on Boxing Day. He came round pretty quickly and got it running again - though this could only be a temporary repair. This month he has installed a new Viessman boiler, flushed out the radiators, installed new thermostats, checked existing pipework and replaced a piece which was too narrow. As many reviewers have said, Tony is prompt, efficient, tidy, and knows his stuff. We are very happy with the new boiler and would certainly recommend him to others.

I had an old and inefficient central heating and hot water system. Anthony provided a detailed quotation proposing a major overhaul. He left the boiler and radiators, which are still sound, in place ... but he substantially rejigged the plumbing to improve the water flows, and installed new thermostat radiator valves and a new time clock. Both heating and water now function effectively. Anthony offered sensible professional advice and was hard working and cheerful. It was not cheap, but I am a very satisfied customer.

Excellent service. Reliable on timing and telephoned when he said he would. He performed a power flush of our central heating system. Contacted Bourne Plumbing in the lead-up to Christmas (was recommended to me by a work colleague who also lives in Wembley) with three issues concerning a bathroom tap, bedroom radiator and attic overflow which was overflowing! Anthony was upfront and honest, couldn’t get over for at least a few days due to volume of work and we agreed a date. He arrived on the day with all the necessary tools/parts. Talked through what needed to be done and set about fixing all three problems. Very open/honest and easy to communicate with. I found Anthony on Which? Trusted Trader, and have been using him for a couple of years for all my plumbing requirements at a property I rent out in London (I Live 250 miles away in Wales). Anthony has always provided a professional service. I have just and the heating system upgraded and Anthony has installed a new Viessmann boiler and conducted a power flush to Finish – everything is working and looks neat, all paperwork – registration for guarantee was dealt with by Anthony. I have no reservations in recommending this heating engineer – if any work is required, I contact him by phone or text and he does the rest – I have never met the man personally so can’t describe what he looks like, but I would still recommend him. Tony installed our heating system over 20 years ago in a Victorian house and did a great job> He had to work round a toddler and every evening left the house safe and tidy. We had to have him back 19 years later to repair the boiler and his service was also very efficient. He has also carried out a few smaller plumbing jobs one of which was an emergency. He was very prompt in responding. Always does a professional job. Would recommend him to anyone.

Extremely helpful and competent plumber - put right several seized up stopcocks, replacing them with efficient modern fixtures. Also cut out and replaced a leaking length of piping. Cleared up nicely afterwards too. Seemed a little expensive - but I have no benchmark for what plumbers cost these days. Well worth it for the peace of mind of a job well done.

Our central heating system required a powerflush to clear the accumulated sludge built up over the years, which had led to one radiator being almost completely "cold", with "cold spots" on one or two other radiators. We found Anthony's business listed in Which? Local, and made the call. Anthony responded quickly, giving us a detailed estimate of what was required. Although not the cheapest quote, it proved to be good value for money. A date was agreed to commence the work, which initially was to introduce chemicals into the system to loosen the sludge, prior to it being flushed out of the system. When the powerflush itself was carried out, it was done professionally and efficiently, with minor disruption and mess. I would have no hesitation in using Anthony's company again for any future plumbing needs.

Section of soil pipe to the rear of our house needed replacing due to hole / leak. Anthony's diagnosis of the problem was accurate and he clearly outlined two possible scenarios 1)straightforwrard replacement 2) more complex operation in the event that there was insufficient original pipe length available to attach replacement pipe to. Fortunately he was able to complete soltution 1 - a quicker, less disruptive and less costly option. Excellent service and very polite manner - would definitely recommend to others.

As Anthony Bourne is good, his job list meant we had to wait a while between quote and the work being done, however the communication (phone, email, text) was excellent throughout, and we were happy/prepared to wait. He came in and did the jobs with minimum fuss. He identified other problems so we could make informed decisions about what we were prepared to pay for i.e. pointed out the insufficient size of pipes for our radiators prior to us laying a floating floor. (We chose to leave the status quo). Offered advice on water flow problems and variety of potential solutions for us to explore with pro's and con's. Extremely tidy. Did what he said, and when he said he would do it. Fixed previous plumbers failure. Came back for the 2nd part in a very reasonable time period so the job didn't linger. Professional estimate and payment on invoice after the job. Professional throughout.

I found Bourne Plumbing through Which Local and was very happy with the service Anthony provided, he certainly lived up to expectations. He came promptly to have a look at the problems we had with two different boilers and was able to tell us straight away what the issues were, to fix one there and then and give us an accurate quote on what it would take to fix the other one. He replaced radiator valves, installed new under floor pipe work for an additional radiator and supplied and fitted new thermostatic controls. He replaced washers in a water tank and repaired a broken WC handle. Anthony provided a prompt quotation, the work was efficiently carried out and to the agreed budget. Anthony is extremely helpful, courteous and went the extra mile to resolve the thermostat issue. He is business like and reliable. Anthony is obviously busy and popular - which is in itself a recommendation. Initially this meant we struggled to find a time he could spare. However, he then went out of his way to fit in a visit. This was simply replacing very old kitchen taps - but he also helpfully upgraded the fitting to add values to the undersink fitting to enable better control in the future. While he was here I asked if he could assist with another small job (broken toilet handle) which he was willing to do. Anthony was friendly and respectful throughout the visit.

I needed a replacement mixer tap in my kitchen and Anthony gave some very helpful advice about which type would be best. We've used Anthony on three occasions now, the first time to try and rescue an ageing boiler, which made it through another year; the second to deal with a radiator leak and the third to have a new Viessman combi boiler installed, which he put in with ruthless efficiency within the space of a day and no mess at the end. He thinks ahead, has a big inventory of parts and inspires confidence. He's certainly not cheap but, to reiterate previous reviews, you get what you pay.
