I got in contact with Anthony at Bourne Plumbing & Heating because of the recommendations on this page, and it was well worth it - he has serviced my boiler twice now, as well as done some other small plumbing jobs, including tracking down a bathroom leak. The work has always been of excellent quality, neat, clean and quick. I don't know if Bourne are the cheapest, but their prices are certainly competitive, especially compared to the big companies (like Pimlico), and represent good value for money. Anthony is polite, personable, unflappable, and good at explaining things - just what you want from a plumber! It is sometimes hard to get a quick appointment, because they are so busy, but it's worth persisting with - the advantages of using a reliable, local tradesman outweigh the slight inconvenience of waiting. In short, I will definitely use Bourne Plumbing again, and have no hesitation in recommending them.

We needed to refresh our central heating system by replacing some radiators and power flushing the rest. Tony provided good advice and submitted a detailed competitive quote. He completed the work efficiently and within the timescale. The central heating system now works better than ever. We would definitely use him again.

I recently found this plumber through Which local and was very pleased with his curteous and professional approach. He solved several minor plumbing problems with no trouble and left the areas clean and tidy. In terms of value for money I do not know what the 'going rate' for these jobs is, but am sure it was worth the charge in terms of confidence inthe tasks having been done properly. He gave me good advice and has left me able to turn off independent areas of my plumbing for future convenience. I would thoroughly recommend his work.

I am very pleased with the service provided by Bourne Plumbing & Heating. Our toilet flush broke and I rang Tony of Bourne Plumbing who answered straight away and agreed to come round within a couple of hours and who fixed the toilet promptly and at a reasonable cost.

He has done quite a lot of work for me - put in a new boiler, cleaned out the central heating system, put a new valve on radiator in the bathroom. Very satisfactorily. He turns up on time. I've been using him for at least fifteen years.

He was recommend by a friend, and although the jobs were outside of his usual working area he was happy to travel. I have several properties so have had a fair bit of work for him including the installation of a new gas boiler, repairs to shower and bath taps plus servicing of boilers and other gas units including fires. I am a woman who is over seventy years old with a husband who has Alzheimer's. After a lifetime of leaving all the technical details of maintaining a house to him I now find myself having to take control. I find plenty of assistance on the internet but I do know when to leave a job to a professional. Plumbing work fits this category. Recently water would not stop running down the back of the toilet. I needed a plumber. None of my friends could recommend a plumber. I was terrified of coming up against a 'rougue trader'. Then I found the Which? Local website and chose Bourne Plumbing and Heating because they were near where I live and the reviews sounded good. Anthony came at once, was very courteous and professional and dealt efficiently with my problem, even coming out on a Sunday for his second visit after he had obtained a necessary part.. He was kind enough to offer advice on several other plumbing related issues. For any scared ladies out there needing plumbing work done I can certainly recommend Bourne Plumbing and Heating.

We used Bourne Plumbing just before Christmas to install some new radiators and sort out our heating system/boiler. We have had problems with it for a long time and had used Pimlico, but the latter have only made piecemeal repairs yet charged us a fortune. So we took a chance on Bourne Plumbing, and we're so glad we did. Anthony sorted out the system at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. He gave us sound advice and was very professional throughout, and our heating system now works much more efficiently. He just really knows his stuff and we would definitely call him again.

Anthony did a boiler service a couple years back and I managed to book him in for another service and to look at a toilet cistern issue. Whilst his schedule is busy (book in advance!) he arrived promptly and after an initial assessment we came to the conclusion that the boiler needed replacing. My schedule is generally quite tight and we agreed to expedite the work with Anthony dropping off a written quote a day or so later and arrived the Monday morning promptly. His work is very neat, professional, precise and I can honestly say that he was quite productive too (solid working to get the job done in a day). I am quite chuffed at my new Veissman boiler (immense improvement on the noisy Baxi I had) and the cistern was replaced swiftly too. Anthony returned today to complete the commissioning of the boiler so all is now ready. Will defintely use again - very professional and punctual. In terms of price / value - the boiler replacement was in the ballpark of what this sort of stuff generally costs but the work is of high quality and Anthony also took care of some other minor issues whilst getting the boiler replaced.
