Brilliant! Anthony was recommended by our electrician and he spent a couple of hours diagnosing the problem which goes back to the late 1990s when, it seems, British Gas installed a new boiler. Briefly, it seems they did not change the pipe work to a standard size and air was getting in to the system. We also had a leak. He managed to restore hot water and heating for us overnight and promised that if he could get the materials needed, he would come back today, which he did. He replaced the wrong-sized pipe and has just got us going again. Full marks!

1) Bourne Plumbing attended to identify cause of a leak that was causing mains fuses to trip and to remedy it.. Rapidly diagnosed the problem and provided a reliable temporary solution 2) Bourne Plumbing returned subsequently by appointment to replace a leaking motorised valve and various expired accessories of a MegaFlow hot water cylinder. Serviced our existing 10-year-old Worcester-Bosch boiler, but found that it could not be brought within acceptable emission limits without substantial, expensive and ultimately speculative work. Advised boiler replacement with a Viessmann Vitodens 100-W compact 35KW wall-hung boiler and the likely cost, including upgraded de-aeration, filtering and flue systems. Agreed in principle to go ahead, so we were provided promptly with a detailed written quotation, which we accepted. As the existing boiler could not be used safely we relied an an Immersion heater and Bourne Plumbing kindly lent us 5 virtually new fan heaters for the interim. 3) Bourne Plumbing supplied, fitted and commissioned the new boiler and undertook associated works by appointment in our unavoidable absence during a Saturday. We returned to find the house warm again and a very quiet, neat new boiler installed. We subsequently received a ring-binder of information about the new system, various warranties and two invoices, which were in accordance with what we were expecting to pay. 4) We have accepted Bourne Plumbing's suggestion that it should return about a month after the installation of the boiler in order to monitor performance and in particular the cleanliness of the newly-installed Magna-Clean filtration unit. We have great confidence in Bourne Plumbing, which takes the trouble to explain the present situation, the alternative courses of action available to deal with it, the associated likely costs and risks, and which course of action it would recommend.

A toilet cistern had sprung a leak from its water input. We had turned off its supply and drained it, so we were not an emergency, but Anthony came the same day, and did an excellent job. Previous work by a plumber we will not name had left the cistern with a very slow leak (from a different place) despite much tightening, necessitating keeping a drip tray in place. Anthony removed the cistern, replaced all the innards, which were found to have been incorrectly sealed and were spoilt, and fitted a new supply feeder pipe and tap; he clearly keeps a stock of routine parts in his van. We now have a cistern which is drip-free and works better than before. He was totally professional, showed us clearly why the replacement parts were needed, left no mess, and inspired confidence. His bill came to just under what we had expected. I hope we don't need a plumber again soon, but when we do he will be the first we approach.

After a poor installation of our previous boiler 11 years ago and a sub-standard annual service contract, both from British Gas, we used Bourne Plumbing & Heating for the first time to replace our gas boiler & upgrade our system to meet current standards. On Anthony’s recommendation we chose a Viessmann Vitodens 100-W compact condensing boiler. A power flush to the system was required. We were surprised at the amount of debris & sludge that had accumulated in our system. Anthony’s work exceeded all our expectations. He is extremely professional and takes the time to explain clearly all stages of the job. He is punctual, courteous, clean & tidy. The price was excellent value. We have no hesitation in recommending him (indeed, we have already done so twice, since he completed our job). We will definitely use him again.

Over the last three weeks, Anthony Sawczuk has repaired a leaking water pipe, replaced and upgraded the valves and controls for our hot water and central heating system, cleaned out the expansion tank, replaced a radiator and carried out a power flush of our central heating system. In all this work, we have found that Anthony is careful, considerate, thorough and efficient. He spends as long as is needed to complete the job so that we have never felt we were being rushed. He uses dust sheets to protect floor coverings and cleans up everything afterwards. In addition, Anthony has been very punctual, always arriving at the agreed time. He took great care to explain what needed doing and how he was going to carry out the work and replied promptly to all our e-mails. He provided written estimates and kept within budget for each aspect of the work that he carried out. We shall be very happy to use Anthony's services again in the future.

Tony replaced our old gas boiler and installed a new Veissmann Boiler and pumps, we are delighted with the performance. He also replaced the old pipe work to our hot water tank, replaced all the radiator valves and refurbished our expansion tank fittings. He completed a total power flush of our system. Tony was extremely professional, explained the process and the features of all the fittings, he did not stop working until he was 100% satisfied with the installation, he left minimum disruption over night. He always arrived at the agreed times. He was extremely clean using mats and sheets to minimise dirt and rubble in our house. He provided a fast and efficient service. The central heating system and the hot water system have now been operating for 10 days, very hot and silent, we are very pleased. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Tony and Bourne Plumbing, and will certainly use him for all my future maintenance work.

We used Anthony after our neighbour recommended him. He was great. We had a leak coming through our kitchen ceiling and couldn’t figure out the source. Anthony visited twice, and after we figured out it was our bathroom tap leaking, he found the problem and fixed it straightaway which included going out to choose a suitable replacement tap. Tidied up after too. Tap is great and leak has stopped. He was very conscious of covid precautions too, was happy to wear shoe covers in the house and charged a fair price too. Would definitely use for all our future plumber needs.

Our boiler was flooded inside and Mr. Sawczuk quickly attended to it, installing a new boiler and filters. Later a power flush was done to the central heating system. The quotation paperwork was detailed and full. He left a folder for us with all the information about our new equipment and its aftercare, and went through the controls with us. We have using Tony's services for around 10 years. Initially servicing an old boiler and calling on him for more larger and more complex jobs as needed. He has replaced our boiler, fitted a new macerating toilet and most recently a water pump to feed two showers. This was a particularly demanding job in a confined space. The work was carried out to schedule over two separate weeks while we were away. On both occasions when returning from holiday the areas where work was carried out were immaculate. When unanticipated scaffolding was required, we were contacted and of course, agreed the additional cost. An extensive clearly explained estimate was given at the beginning and the work was carried out to the highest standards. In follow-up, care was taken to ensure that the operation of the new Viessman system was fully understood. Aftercare was discussed and agreed. Anthony and his team did a complete refurbishment of my bathroom, removing bath, toilet and basin+pedestal and old tiles and replacing with shower cubicle, toilet and basin+pedestal and re-tiling. Anthony gave useful advice about sourcing good quality materials. The work was completed on time and in accordance with the quotation, and I was kept informed at all stages. Additional work required was explained fully to me and extra costings agreed. The team were polite, friendly and kept disruption to a minimum. We experineced a blocked kitchen drain and problems with the pvc pipework around the sink. I was recommended Anthony (Bourne Plumbing) by my next door neighbour. My third time using Bourne Plumbing and once again the job was completed to the highest standard. The job was to fit a heavy column radiator requiring two people. Anthony and Colin were true professionals and all round great guys. I wasn't initially able to get Bourne Plumbing in soon enough, so I had used another Which? trusted trader. What a mistake. The other company made three hashed attempts at fitting the radiator, giving up in the end but not before leaving me with crooked pipework, a damaged wall, and a corroded pipe join left behind beneath the floorboards. I then got Anthony and Colin in to do the job properly, and of course it was done in straight forward fashion, right first time. These guys are very experienced and professional. All I can say is look at the number of reviews that make up Bourne Plumbing's star rating, and compare it to the number of reviews other traders have. Go for Bourne, and wait for availability if you have to - worth it in the long run.

I have used Tony on many occasions and have found him to be very knowledgeable and professional. I contacted him as there was a hissing sound coming from the shower. This turned out as expected to be a leak in a concealed pipe which had been occurring for several months and this explained why there was never any hot water in the system! Tony located the problem but this meant taking up the shower, pipework and tiling as the walls and foundation were soaked through. The whole shower suite and all the tiling had to be replaced but this was a blessing in disguise as he also found other pipework that needed replacement which would have certainly caused problems in the near future. Tony was very innovative in redirecting the pipework instead of digging up the concrete floor which could have added thousands extra to the cost. He also put in access panels in case there were any problems in the future. I cannot fault him for his expertise and work ethos and he is a lovely guy even though he supports West Ham. He is an outstanding plumber and engineer and I personally consider him to be one of the best if not the best tradesman in the business.

Anthony supplied and fitted a new inlet valve to toilet cistern - which was overflowing/dripping into the overflow. We called on his mobile, described the problem, arranged a timeslot. Anthony arrived within timeslot, good communication on arrival - friendly and direct, covered shoes to avoid bringing in mud/marking flooring with his shoes, checked the problem, fixed the problem - did not make a mess /cleared up, checked the fix and answered questions. Overall just what you need when you have a problem - someone to turn up - on time - check fault, fix it, check the fix, clear up after themselves, good comms and bill sensibly for the work.

Earlier this year, Anthony Sawczuk installed a new boiler and upgraded an ageing heating system. Throughout the process his communications, punctuality, tidiness, and flexibility were excellent. How many times have you moaned about finding a tradesperson you can rely on? A neighbour strongly recommended Anthony Bourne having used him a number of times. I have used him twice now The first time was to fix a tap (someone else failed badly) and this time to replace a boiler. The boiler installed is a Viessmann with a twelve year guarantee. Extra work was needed given a leaking immersion heater, so the initial quote became irrelevant. The work is thorough, the sense of responsibility high, he turns up when he says he will, everything is completed and tidied up very neatly. All I could want: job defined, work done properly and no problems.

I have been using Tony for several decades to do plumbing work in my own home, a rented property, and my father's house, all in the Ealing area. He has always been 100% reliable, performing high quality work for a reasonable price and giving good advice about what needed to be done. I wish all traders were so reliable and trustworthy! It is always a relief to be able to call him out and know that the job will be done quickly and well. He is reassuring and helpful with my tenants also. He reminds me when my annual boiler checks are due, which are a regulatory requirement. He recently fitted a new boiler in my father's house, and all the pipework was beautifully done. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs a plumber or a heating engineer. As a landlord I have employed a lot of workmen to do various things and I can honestly say that he has always been the most reliable. I never have to worry about whether the work has been done properly.
