We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Anthony (Bourne Plumbing) He refitted our boiler after the manufacturer advised us it had been fitted badly.He is competent,efficient and thinks problems through with intelligence.He attended a couple of minor teething problems without delay. Would strongly recommend. I'd agree with previous poster that it can be pricey, however I think with this company/contractor, it is how much someone competent now costs for this kind of intervention. There are too many charlatans in this job. He went above and beyond to help diagnose an ongoing issue that had floored a surveyor and two other contractors supplied by the management company.

I had been having problems with my shower and boiler for years, and several other plumbers had got nowhere. Anthony advised on a new Viessmann boiler, fitted it quickly and neatly, and even charged less than his quote as one of the planned tasks turned out to not be needed. He also moved the boiler pipes to a better location, fixed a leak under the sink and advised on how to get the shower fixed. The boiler and shower have been running without a single niggle all winter. Anthony is the best plumber I've used and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had to have a radiator replaced and gas pipes moved whilst having some carpentry work done in our lounge. Anthony came recommended by another Which trader (Good with Wood) and was able to fit in with timescales of the carpenter and complete the work very satisfactorily and on time at the right price, not expensive not cheap. Highly recommended and knowledgeable plumber.

Anthony has done a number of jobs at my flat (fixing a boiler, finding source of leaks, checking safety of flues, advising re gas cooker). Despite being in great demand, he has given support over the phone or turned up at short notice (and also come to pre-arranged appointments) and carried out the work efficiently and at a fair price. He's also very professional and pleasant. Would recommend him to anyone.

Tony has carried out work here for some 15 years. He is very reliable and entirely trustworthy in the home. His work has ranged from minor plumbing repairs to fitting a new shower room. He has installed a new gas central heating boiler and services the system regularly. He uses good quality products from well-known suppliers. He has reliable and very competent trade associates who cooperate with him when necessary to complete new fittings and produce an excellent finish. A test of value for money is whether work is finished well and lasts. His does!

Based on the large number of other favourable recommendations on this site, I called Tony this morning when I discovered I had no hot water and no idea what the problem was! Tony arranged to call after 5pm, which was very convenient as I work on the other side of London - so no time missed in order to sit in and wait. He came on time and fixed the problem (replaced a valve) then and there - so no delay while parts were sourced. He explained everything that he was doing and did as he promised. Although I have no alternate quotes for the work completed, I thought it was extremely good value for money, given his prompt response and the immediate result and of course, I now have my hot water restored! I would highly recommend him. Indeed, I have made arrangements for Tony to return to fix some other nagging plumbing issues which although not critical, I have every confidence he can assist with.

Contacted Tony about a faulty tap, which he came and fixed when he said he would. Whilst here he also replaced a cistern toilet handle, which I was having problems with when removing the old one. All in all excellent service, and explained what the problems were. Will definitely use again.

I rang Tony in a panic on a Saturday morning as we needed a gas fire to be removed to investigate ominous noises in the chimney.He re-assured me there could not be a gas leak and said he would fit in an early call on Monday morning. He came as arranged,removed the fire (behind which was a live pigeon!),then capped off the gas supply as requested.Everything was done quickly and efficiently, and after testing the gas supply to boiler and cooker, he unblocked a hob jet into the bargain.I have no hesitation in recommending him for courtesy and efficiency.

Answered the call promptly and let me know the work and charges involved clearly. Was on time on the day of work; got on with the work straight away in very neat, organised manner. Was very consicious of leaving the place as neat and clean as possible from the very beginning. Finished the work efficiently in time (though I must say that the work was quite minor) and cleared all tools. Provided some general advice as well. Very very impressed - seemed knowledgable and honest. We'll definitely reccomend his services if at all needed.

We used Bourne Plumbing just before Christmas to install some new radiators and sort out our heating system/boiler. We have had problems with it for a long time and had used Pimlico, but the latter have only made piecemeal repairs yet charged us a fortune. So we took a chance on Bourne Plumbing, and we're so glad we did. Anthony sorted out the system at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. He gave us sound advice and was very professional throughout, and our heating system now works much more efficiently. He just really knows his stuff and we would definitely call him again.

I have used Bourne a couple of times and do not plan to look anywhere else for boiler servicing in the future. After problems with my old boiler, which needed replacing, Antony recommended a Viessmann boiler, which he installed the next day. Antony is polite and trustworthy and although replacing a boiler is never going to be cheap, I was left feeling that I had got excellent value for money.

Brilliant! Anthony was recommended by our electrician and he spent a couple of hours diagnosing the problem which goes back to the late 1990s when, it seems, British Gas installed a new boiler. Briefly, it seems they did not change the pipe work to a standard size and air was getting in to the system. We also had a leak. He managed to restore hot water and heating for us overnight and promised that if he could get the materials needed, he would come back today, which he did. He replaced the wrong-sized pipe and has just got us going again. Full marks!
