I hired Anthony to fit a replacement for my toilet. He came to see the existing unit. He advised me what type of toilet to get and quickly responded with a quote. Once I agreed to the quote and purchased a new toilet we arranged a time (within a few days) for him to carry out the fitting which he completed on schedule, to a high standard. I subsequently used his services to fix a leak which he responded to quickly and efficiently.

We have been using Bourne Plumbing since June 2021. This time we have a new Viessmann boiler installed. The job was completed on time and high standard. Anthony left my property clean and tidy without any mess. I have no hesitation in recommending Anthony of Bourne Plumbing and Heating.

Anthony supplied and fitted a new inlet valve to toilet cistern - which was overflowing/dripping into the overflow. We called on his mobile, described the problem, arranged a timeslot. Anthony arrived within timeslot, good communication on arrival - friendly and direct, covered shoes to avoid bringing in mud/marking flooring with his shoes, checked the problem, fixed the problem - did not make a mess /cleared up, checked the fix and answered questions. Overall just what you need when you have a problem - someone to turn up - on time - check fault, fix it, check the fix, clear up after themselves, good comms and bill sensibly for the work.

I think I’ve found a plumber I can trust. Based on his WHICH review, I booked Tony in for a couple of straight forward jobs (MegaFlow annual check and kitchen tap replacement) to check him out for a job I’ve been putting off, for far too long, for fear of consequences of the job going wrong and causing damage which would be extremely expensive to rectify. Long story short, he replaced the shower thermostatic cartridge, which was well and truly jammed, without causing any damage whatsoever to the fittings and surrounding tiles. Although he was confident he could do this job without damage, he did reassure me of the potential options. Relieved and happy customer!

I hired Anthony of Bourne Plumbing and Heating to install my new Viessmann central heating boiler. Anthony is my go-to plumber for any plumbing work, from minor maintenance to major installations such as this. The job was not straightforward as the new Viessmann boiler needed to be installed on an outside wall, unlike my previous 30 year old floor-standing model with a flue up the chimney. Water and gas pipes needed to be run through a wall to the new location. All this was done efficiently, with the minimum of fuss. Anthony works closely with Colin, a carpenter with decades of experience, who boxed in the exposed pipework, leaving an excellent cosmetic finish. He also created a custom-built cupboard to fill the void where the old boiler used to be. I recommend Bourne Plumbing and Heating for all your plumbing needs.

This was the second time that I have used Bourne Plumbing. The first occasion was May 2022 but I forgot to leave a review [apologies]. Last year involved a replacement flushing unit and replacement towel radiator heating element. This year also involved a replacement flushing unit. Anthony is reliable, efficient, courteous, works cleanly, orders spare parts as necessary and returns to complete works in as short a time as possible. He does not demand payment before work is started, and only sends an invoice via email with details of how to pay once work has been completed. His rates are reasonable. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Bourne Plumbing and will certainly use Anthony again for any work/problems in the future.

Anthony had previously overhauled an existing sink tap during which he commented that the tap wasn’t very good quality. When the seal to the sink failed we phoned to ask for advice about getting a new one fitted. I told him what we wanted in a new tap and could he advise us. He made an appointment to come to look at it before which I emailed him to ask if he’d bring any suitable brochures. He arrived early and waited until we arrived back from a hospital appointment. He didn’t bring brochures but thoughtfully put 2 taps in his van which he thought would fit the bill. One was perfect and he said he would do it immediately if we wanted which he did and all was completed in just under an hour. The price was much as we expected and he sent an email with the cost the next day. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the attached invoice with the bank payment details and I phoned his landline 3 times to leave a message to ask for them before ringing his mobile and speaking to him. He said his voicemail was useless and always use the Mobile and he told me where to find the bank details. But for that, the Customer service would have been 5 stars.

We know Anthony from the time we were living in a rented flat in Ealing. We had a few drain blockages there and he had come to unblock them. Later when we moved to our home we had a similar drain block with our bathroom sink. Like previous instances, he unblocked it successfully. Recently we had a leak issue with the pipes underneath the kitchen sink. He replaced the pipes and the leak stopped. He also replaced a faulty washing machine inlet valve and replaced it with a new one. He is very professional, polite and helpful in examining and recommending different solutions to a problem. What impressed me the most about Anthony is his honesty. We had called him some months ago for some leak issues and he recommended us to try different ways to resolve the problems, for example, to get in touch with the company who did the job and ask them to replace the faulty part if it is within the warranty period and to pursue the contractor who did the faulty job and to be assertive with him to fix the issue. That was very nice of him to guide us in the right direction and not to take advantage of us. We really appreciate it.

Tony carried the annual boiler maintenance in this instance. He was efficient, polite and friendly. As always his work was to an excellent standard and he cleaned up afterwards. In the past he has solved minor plumbing problems and also carried out the boiler installation. No complaints, only praise.

Anthony has recently installed a new Viessmann boiler for us which included providing extra pipework. At the same time he carried out an extensive power flush of our central heating system and has now replaced the thermostatic valves on our radiators. A great advantage of having a new Viessmann boiler is that it comes with a 12-year warranty. Installing and insulating the extra pipework was quite complicated as it involved working in a very tight space in our loft. Throughout this work Anthony arrived punctually at the agreed time and on the agreed date. He carried out the work meticulously and professionally, and covered any area susceptible to dirt with dustsheets that he brought with him. He took great care to ensure that no water dripped or leaked when he was working on the piping and carrying out the power flush. At each stage of the work he carefully explained what he would be doing next. At the end of the installation he cleared everything up and left the house neat and tidy and without any mess. We can highly recommend Anthony if you need a professional plumber who knows what he is doing, gets on with the job without any fuss, tidies everything up, and - more generally - will live up to your expectations.

I had a very problematic toilet leak and Tony was able to sort it with ease and very quickly. We had an issue with space which we didn't think we could sort but Tony was able to give us the best solution. Very reliable and value for money. Highly recommended and loves a cup of tea.

Initial phone call to arrange the service was promptly answered, once we arranged date & time that was it, the plumber arrived on time. All the maintenance kit & tools were carried in at the beginning none of this in & out of the building, dust sheets everywhere to protect the kitchen floor, no asking have you a bucket handy to drain water, which I've experienced before, as for the service all done swiftly, plumber certainly knew his way around the boiler, followed by cleaning, readings, tidy up, cup of tea thrown in along the way, the service book filled in, all done. I also regard value as not only the cost of a service but peace of mind especially for winter months as nobody wants to be without heating.

Bourne plumbing just wow. Arrived when stated to replace an old boiler with a Viessmann boiler. The attention to detail is incredible and where the work was carried out all the mess removed and a full clean undertaken. A full demonstration of the new controls was given and what to do in any common situation with the boiler. After the install had been done a professional welcome pack was issued which contained all the new details and user manuals. A very nice touch. Also means when the boiler is serviced next all details are at hand. Great professional workmanship all round and would recommend to anyone.

Last year he re-sited and installed a new Viessmann boiler, together with new pipework and soakaway, which I was very pleased with. Anthony and his team did a complete refurbishment of my bathroom, removing bath, toilet and basin+pedestal and old tiles and replacing with shower cubicle, toilet and basin+pedestal and re-tiling. I have used Tony on many occasions and have found him to be very knowledgeable and professional. I contacted him as there was a hissing sound coming from the shower. This turned out as expected to be a leak in a concealed pipe which had been occurring for several months and this explained why there was never any hot water in the system! Tony located the problem but this meant taking up the shower, pipework and tiling as the walls and foundation were soaked through. The whole shower suite and all the tiling had to be replaced but this was a blessing in disguise as he also found other pipework that needed replacement which would have certainly caused problems in the near future. Tony was very innovative in redirecting the pipework instead of digging up the concrete floor which could have added thousands extra to the cost. He also put in access panels in case there were any problems in the future. I cannot fault him for his expertise and work ethos and he is a lovely guy even though he supports West Ham. He is an outstanding plumber and engineer and I personally consider him to be one of the best if not the best tradesman in the business.

Fantastic new bathroom created in my loft by Bourne Plumbing and Heating consisting of bath, shower, handbasin and WC plus all the necessary new pipework. All the work was carried out in a timely and professional manner. I am absolutely delighted with it and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Bourne Plumbing and Heating attended my house soon after an opportunistic meeting in my neighbours where they were working. He diagnosed and cleared a horribly blocked and smelly waste pipe quickly with no nonsense. I would happily recommend to others with similarly blocked washing machine waste pipes and will definitely call on their services again for all matters plumbing related.

My third time using Bourne Plumbing and once again the job was completed to the highest standard. The job was to fit a heavy column radiator requiring two people. Anthony and Colin were true professionals and all round great guys. I wasn't initially able to get Bourne Plumbing in soon enough, so I had used another Which? trusted trader. What a mistake. The other company made three hashed attempts at fitting the radiator, giving up in the end but not before leaving me with crooked pipework, a damaged wall, and a corroded pipe join left behind beneath the floorboards. I then got Anthony and Colin in to do the job properly, and of course it was done in straight forward fashion, right first time. These guys are very experienced and professional. All I can say is look at the number of reviews that make up Bourne Plumbing's star rating, and compare it to the number of reviews other traders have. Go for Bourne, and wait for availability if you have to - worth it in the long run.

I cannot speak more highly of the top-notch work Anthony has done for us. Embarrassingly, we hadn't had our heating system serviced in the 7 years in which we've lived the house and with a few leaky radiators thanks to some overzealous carpet fitters, Anthony's expertise and knowledge was a god send! What I also loved was his ability to make our system even more optimal than it was with a few tweaks, then explaining in simple terms what he'd done. I needed a replacement mixer tap in my kitchen and Anthony gave some very helpful advice about which type would be best. Came straight away in the middle of December on hearing about my lack of heating. Diagnosed the problem and set about sorting it out. The communication system to my boiler needed changing and this was done efficiently and quickly. Electric heaters were left with me to make sure that I was not cold. These were left with me after he had finished in case the boiler played up again. It did not thankfully.

I was switched off for gas by Cadent as I had a leak in my system. I rang around several plumbers as was without heating, hot water and cooking facilities at the beginning of December. Bourne came out the same afternoon that I called to take a look and said that my pipe needed to be rerun above ground as the leak was under the cement floor. They provided a quote within a day and then once approved booked the job in within three days. They came on-time with a team and completed the job within the day. It was a neat, professional finish with added touches of cutting cupboard doors to fit around the new pipe and changing my switch off lever. I cannot recommend Bourne highly enough. Not the cheapest quote I got, but an excellent job and worth every penny to be able to have. shower and be warm again!

Anthony is obviously busy and popular - which is in itself a recommendation. Initially this meant we struggled to find a time he could spare. However, he then went out of his way to fit in a visit. This was simply replacing very old kitchen taps - but he also helpfully upgraded the fitting to add values to the undersink fitting to enable better control in the future. While he was here I asked if he could assist with another small job (broken toilet handle) which he was willing to do. Anthony was friendly and respectful throughout the visit.

Our hot water failed on Wednesday evening. A call to Anthony at 8am and he was with us by 930 (on time as he quoted) and the issue was fixed within the hour. Fast and efficient. And a lovely guy as well.

We asked Bourne plumbing to fix a broken exterior waste pipe. The job was completed quickly and efficiently.

Anthony did a great job! (I initially had a "Plumber" come around and misidentify an issue, fail to identify and fix the actually issue and then giving me enough "lingo" to convince me I needed a new boiler. They then came around installed the boiler very poorly and tried to steal parts I had paid for, leaving the boiler not installed correctly and in a way that was going to cause damage and be potentially dangerous if not fixed). Luckily, I found Anthony who was able to come around and check the install and identify issues that had to be addressed, he was very professional and handed me his business card initially which was reassuring and showed a great standard for business practices. He then come around and fixed the issues making the boiler safe. The install work he did was great, he added safety and control features not previously present and the pipework looked great. Anthony was very straight forward and clearly knows his craft. I would recommend Anthony to anyone that needs plumbing work. I found Tony from Bourne Plumbing on Trusted Traders and have been extremely satisfied with the level of service we have received from him. Tony has carried out a lot of work for us, including replacing boiler parts, re-piping our entire downstairs, radiator installation and general support and advice throughout our building work. Tony is easy to get hold of (in case of emergencies) and is extremely trustworthy - we are so pleased we've found a trusted local plumber who quotes transparently and goes over and above to provide help and support.

At 7pm on 10th August whilst adult daughter was showering in the bathroom the bath shower head water suddenly exploded all over the bathroom. It was very frightening and we couldn’t think what to do at first but did turn off water supply and I rang Bourne Plumbing whom I had used before for help. He came round within 30 minutes and assessed the problem. We would need a new shower unit and suggested we get the same make as it had served us well. He would order it and he could be available next Tuesday if it arrived on time and in fact, it was Wednesday 18th August and a new shower was up and running satisfactorily. No effort on my part and a new system was installed in a week.

I've used Bourne Plumbing and Heating twice now. The first time was to install new radiators in my house and service my old boiler, and the second time to replace a faulty valve in the heating system. Anthony was clear when he came over to quote, explaining what was needed and why, and being understanding of our future plans for our home and what work we could defer. The quotes were received quickly, and it was easy to book in. The work itself was carried out to a high standard, it's clear that Anthony takes pride in the standard of his work. The job was to replace an old electric shower unit that had ceased working. Anthony arrived promptly, listened to my requirements, evaluated the job and sent through an estimate, which I accepted. When the item had been delivered he fitted it neatly to match the marks left by its predecessor. When fitting it he discovered a problem with my stopcock, which he worked around, and also problems with the existing pipework, which he remedied. He explained everything very clearly and efficiently, and he listened to my concerns and requirements, which has not always been my experience with other traders. He also spotted a potential problem with the electrics, which was outside his purview, and gave me the details of two possible electricians.

We planned to travel to Ealing to prepare for a new tenant and needed a known problem to be resolved during our 4 day visit. Our previous plumber suddenly declared himself unavailable so we had to find a replacement urgently. We found Anthony of Bourne Plumbing via Which. He turned up as agreed, (an hour after we arrived from Wales) and changed the valve and sorted another issue at the boiler water supply. His work was very professional taking every precaution to avoid any water reaching the carpet etc. After he left, we found another problem in the bathroom so he came back the next morning, had to get a part and fixed that problem too. We were so relieved to have found someone this good so quickly and as we live 160 miles away we will have no hesitation in using his services even without being there to supervise. Anthony is a very personable chap, easy to get on with and we will also recommend him to our previous neighbours in Ealing who also used our previous plumber.

It took him over a month to repair the leak after his initial visit. During this period, I had to chase several times for updates, with many unreturned phones calls and e-mails. The quality of the work (when I eventually managed to get an appointment) was good, and he left the work area clean, but it’s simply not worth the hassle. Unfortunately, I will not be using his services in the future, and I would not recommend him to anyone.

I decided not to mess about when getting my boiler, radiators, hot water tank and other associated kit replaced but, instead, to use a Which Trusted Trader - so glad that I did. Anthony did everything in a timely, helpful and thorough manner, even coming out to sort out a minor problem with the water tank afterwards for no additional charge. Everything was completed on schedule, the house was left tidy and he provided a full folder of reference information - very impressive. Anthony only uses Viessmann boilers, which I believe are also recommended by Which? I know nothing about plumbing but the kit all looks great and the water is always nice and hot now. Definitely recommended.

I started using Bourne Plumbing (recommended by a friend of a friend) when we needed someone to take out a bath and put in a shower (my husband had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer), he came when he said he would, gave me a sensible quote and completed the job in a timely fashion and the pipework was amazing, so neatly done - the attention to detail incredible. We then used him again to create a downstairs toilet and utility room, entailing a new water main and connection - again all done incredibly tidily and efficiently. Our old boiler then broke down so we used Tony to install (and re-position) a new Viessmann Boiler - again all done very efficiently and with little disruption. Lastly we had a new kitchen fitted and we used Tony to carry out all the necessary plumbing. He is a pleasure to have in the house and we would not hesitate to recommend him.

The work was carried out to schedule over two separate weeks while we were away. On both occasions when returning from holiday the areas where work was carried out were immaculate. When unanticipated scaffolding was required, we were contacted and of course, agreed the additional cost. My toilet flush push button broke. I had a look and it's just not something I could fix myself as many parts needed removing / replacing in the cistern. I contacted 5 local plumbers and only Anthony from Bourne came back He came at the agreed time, went out of his way to find spare parts and fixed it. He has replaced our boiler, fitted a new macerating toilet and most recently a water pump to feed two showers. This was a particularly demanding job in a confined space. We have used Anthony a few years ago for a modest plumbing emergency and called him this time to ask if he could resolve a juddering tap feed and also change radiator thermostatic valves. He called in later that same day to review the scope /time etc and sent us a costed estimate the following day. I phoned Anthony having been recommended to him by our regular plumber of many years who has now retired. It was a small but irritating problem with our toilet cistern. The ball valve whined loudly when filling and was slowly leaking all the time. Anthony arranged to come later the same day. He arrived and carried out the job in about half an hour: replacing the ball valve with a much neater looking new one; he also renewed the isolating valve and pipework leading into the cistern which he discovered was faulty. Anthony was very professional and courteous but also friendly and personable. His work was of a very high standard, clean and tidy (he took away all the old debris) and his charges were reasonable in the circumstances. I would recommend Anthony to my friends.

Our kitchen tap had come loose. Another plumber had fixed it, but it came loose again. He tightened it up again. It came loose again. He said it needed a carpenter and sent another estimate. The work required was not easy given the position of the tap and the nature of the kitchen worktops. Essentially it required working under the worktop to cut out some existing wood and replace it with a structure that would hold the tap properly going forward. It would be far better if the problem had been identified from the start. Also why did we have to pay for it not to be fixed and then pay the same company again to do it properly? Therefore we contacted Bourne Plumbing and Heating (strongly recommended from a neighbour). They came when they said they would, identified the problem and spent two hours fixing it. The work was neat and the space left clean. It is four days later. The tap is currently fine and I assume it will continue to be given my neighbour's recommendation. It is a good thing to be able to call in someone and know that a problem will be fixed properly. On ratings below: service I am confident on. Quality: I can't see the work and four days in I have no idea how to tell. The previous 'fix' was fine for a month. However my neighbour is very pernickety and is very pleased so I am happy going along with that. Value: I am no expert, but the price seemed reasonable and frankly I am quite happy to pay well for a job well done.

Work done: Tony came to inspect a leaking kitchen tap and advised us to order a new fitting. He also checked the bathroom pump was working properly. He then came back and fitted the new tap. General comments: Tony is very much in demand but always answered phone calls and came exactly when he said he would, so was very reliable, which we really appreciated. It was not the first time Anthony has come to our rescue, as amongst other tasks he's been asked to fix, he came to stop a leak in the loft. He is a plumber much in demand! As for the Viessmann boiler, he submitted a detailed schedule of the work that needed to be done to install the new boiler and the quote was well detailed with the work that would be involved. He is a very neat and tidy workman. He left the place immaculate each time he left for the day. Much of his time was spent unloading, and at the end of the day, reloading his very superior-looking van. Over the last three weeks, Anthony Sawczuk has repaired a leaking water pipe, replaced and upgraded the valves and controls for our hot water and central heating system, cleaned out the expansion tank, replaced a radiator and carried out a power flush of our central heating system. In all this work, we have found that Anthony is careful, considerate, thorough and efficient. He spends as long as is needed to complete the job so that we have never felt we were being rushed. He uses dust sheets to protect floor coverings and cleans up everything afterwards. In addition, Anthony has been very punctual, always arriving at the agreed time. He took great care to explain what needed doing and how he was going to carry out the work and replied promptly to all our e-mails. Anthony was able to start very quickly to deal with our 20 year old failing boiler. He was very considerate of our need to restore our heating system quickly and worked very hard to clear blocked pipes and restore function to radiators that had not worked properly for some time. This required a number of replacement parts and considerable unforeseeable extra work. I was kept advised of all the additional work required and approved all extra items when it was clear that they were needed. Although additional cost was incurred I believe that I received very good value for my money. I am now enjoying a warm house from a far more sophisticated system which will be self cleaning and regulating - very welcome with colder weather on the way. After a poor installation of our previous boiler 11 years ago and a sub-standard annual service contract, both from British Gas, we used Bourne Plumbing & Heating for the first time to replace our gas boiler & upgrade our system to meet current standards. On Anthony’s recommendation we chose a Viessmann Vitodens 100-W compact condensing boiler. A power flush to the system was required. We were surprised at the amount of debris & sludge that had accumulated in our system. Anthony’s work exceeded all our expectations. He is extremely professional and takes the time to explain clearly all stages of the job. He is punctual, courteous, clean & tidy. The price was excellent value. We have no hesitation in recommending him (indeed, we have already done so twice, since he completed our job). We will definitely use him again.

A toilet cistern had sprung a leak from its water input. We had turned off its supply and drained it, so we were not an emergency, but Anthony came the same day, and did an excellent job. Previous work by a plumber we will not name had left the cistern with a very slow leak (from a different place) despite much tightening, necessitating keeping a drip tray in place. Anthony removed the cistern, replaced all the innards, which were found to have been incorrectly sealed and were spoilt, and fitted a new supply feeder pipe and tap; he clearly keeps a stock of routine parts in his van. We now have a cistern which is drip-free and works better than before. He was totally professional, showed us clearly why the replacement parts were needed, left no mess, and inspired confidence. His bill came to just under what we had expected. I hope we don't need a plumber again soon, but when we do he will be the first we approach.

I have used Anthony before and he has always done excellent work and been helpful and prompt in his response. On Sunday I found that my boiler was leaking and so I called Anthony and he came promptly the next morning. He identified the problem which was a leak in the plastic diverter valve, ordered the replacement part and then fitted it the next morning. He also provided good advice on using the boiler in the short interim between his ordering the valve and fitting it and on ensuring that the water pressure level was not too high. Probably the best plumber we've ever used in terms of quality of work. Great care was taken with the elements and quality of the installation and we were consulted on every step and then trained at the end. Of course, such quality takes longer and so this is not the cheapest service. But it's well worth it. We were advised to install a Viessmann boiler which so far, works perfectly.

I needed removal of totally coroded waste disposal which stopped working, not replacing it, and turning the sink into functional sink. Anthony Sawczuk performed the job efficiently, quickly and very well. The kitchen remained clean, there was no water anywhere and the sink functions well with a new plug which was provided by him. He worked for about an hour and a half - seemed to me very efficient. The cost was reasonable. Would use him again and recommend him.

A routine gas safety inspection turned up a slow gas leak and the gas supply was capped, leaving me without heating and hot water. I rang Anthony Sawczuk at Bourne and explained the situation. I called Antony at 8 PM as i did not have any water. At 9:00PM was at home and at 9:10 the problem was fixed. Another plumber working on another flat has cut my water. Antony is extremely efficient and not too expensive for out of hour work.

Anthony replaced our boiler and power flushed the system. He also fixed the overflow from the hot water cylinder which had overflowed for 7 years! He sorted all our problems from the previous unreliable plumber. Anthony is very efficient and prompt and even helps with keeping customer paperwork in order.
