I am very pleased with the service provided by Bourne Plumbing & Heating. Our toilet flush broke and I rang Tony of Bourne Plumbing who answered straight away and agreed to come round within a couple of hours and who fixed the toilet promptly and at a reasonable cost.

I got in contact with Anthony at Bourne Plumbing & Heating because of the recommendations on this page, and it was well worth it - he has serviced my boiler twice now, as well as done some other small plumbing jobs, including tracking down a bathroom leak. The work has always been of excellent quality, neat, clean and quick. I don't know if Bourne are the cheapest, but their prices are certainly competitive, especially compared to the big companies (like Pimlico), and represent good value for money. Anthony is polite, personable, unflappable, and good at explaining things - just what you want from a plumber! It is sometimes hard to get a quick appointment, because they are so busy, but it's worth persisting with - the advantages of using a reliable, local tradesman outweigh the slight inconvenience of waiting. In short, I will definitely use Bourne Plumbing again, and have no hesitation in recommending them.

I found Tony through the Which? local and Gas safe web sites. He had a significant number of positive recommendations on the Which? website so I contacted him and arranged for him to call. He turned up on time and identified my heating and plumbing problems. A few days latter I received a detailed and type-written quote. After discussing the quote I arranged for him to carry out the work, which included replacing the boiler with a Viessman boiler with a 5 year guarantee, power flushing the system and installing a Magna Clean unit. He arrived as agreed and carried out the work in a professional manner leaving the house clean and tidy. I will definitely employ him again and recommend him to others.

Tony came round to fix an old tap that had seized up. I had had another plumber round the previous week to do the same job and it had gone again after just a couple of days. Tony has got it working perfectly again and I would not hesitate to recommend his efficient and prompt service. I will certainly be using him again in the future.

Based on the large number of other favourable recommendations on this site, I called Tony this morning when I discovered I had no hot water and no idea what the problem was! Tony arranged to call after 5pm, which was very convenient as I work on the other side of London - so no time missed in order to sit in and wait. He came on time and fixed the problem (replaced a valve) then and there - so no delay while parts were sourced. He explained everything that he was doing and did as he promised. Although I have no alternate quotes for the work completed, I thought it was extremely good value for money, given his prompt response and the immediate result and of course, I now have my hot water restored! I would highly recommend him. Indeed, I have made arrangements for Tony to return to fix some other nagging plumbing issues which although not critical, I have every confidence he can assist with.

We have used Tony twice. The first time to fix a malfunctioning toilet, and the second to cap off a gas pipe while we were waiting for a new appliance to be delivered. I rang Tony in a panic on a Saturday morning as we needed a gas fire to be removed to investigate ominous noises in the chimney.He re-assured me there could not be a gas leak and said he would fit in an early call on Monday morning. He came as arranged,removed the fire (behind which was a live pigeon!),then capped off the gas supply as requested.Everything was done quickly and efficiently, and after testing the gas supply to boiler and cooker, he unblocked a hob jet into the bargain.I have no hesitation in recommending him for courtesy and efficiency.

Would strongly recommend. I'd agree with previous poster that it can be pricey, however I think with this company/contractor, it is how much someone competent now costs for this kind of intervention. There are too many charlatans in this job. He went above and beyond to help diagnose an ongoing issue that had floored a surveyor and two other contractors supplied by the management company.

I would highly recommend Anthony at Bourne Plumbing & Heating. He was extremely knowledgable and managed to solve the issues we had with our old and inherited boiler quickly. Several other plumbers had been unable to help us. Due to an imminent renovation I needed someone who could work with the existing system. Anthony quickly diagnosed the problem and offered me a range of solutions and costs, which would get the boiler working again. We required several new parts which he located within the morning and replaced. I was extremely impressed, I would have no hesitation in recommending him highly.

Tony literally rescued my kitchen from a clogged pipe and poorly running drain affecting the sink, waste disposal and dishwasher. Fantastic, reliable service just when I needed it. I had urgent repair jobs on two boilers for tenanted flats - I eventually chose Andrew out of several local plumbers and it was an excellent choice, he was very knowledgeable and professional and did the job very well. Other local plumbers did quote slightly lower rates but I think it is a case of you get what you pay for - the others let me down for various reasons and I am happy to have finally found a reliable and professional local firm.

We used Bourne Plumbing just before Christmas to install some new radiators and sort out our heating system/boiler. We have had problems with it for a long time and had used Pimlico, but the latter have only made piecemeal repairs yet charged us a fortune. So we took a chance on Bourne Plumbing, and we're so glad we did. Anthony sorted out the system at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. He gave us sound advice and was very professional throughout, and our heating system now works much more efficiently. He just really knows his stuff and we would definitely call him again.
