Our business as heating engineers and plumbers has been trading in South Devon now for 20 years and we pride ourselves on our quality of workmanship and high level of customer care. Our staff are fully qualified to undertake work with natural gas,liquid petroleum gas, oil, solid fuel and solar thermal water heating,heat pumps and Biomass.

We are very proud to be accredited installers for Worcester Bosch whose full range of gas boilers have won the Which best buy awards for the sixth year running which fully complements our recent appointment as a Which trusted trader. Our association with Worcester Bosch enables us to offer free guarantees of up to 10 years on selected boilers and we know that this gives our customers great peace of mind.

We are also proud to be members of the Rayburn Guild and four of our engineers have attended their factory for specialist training. We are also training apprentices at the present time who are at various stages in their progression to becoming qualified engineers

Bramshaws had done earlier maintenance work on my old central heading system so they had a head start in the choice of contractor for this job. As expected, they were outstanding from start to finish. Richard helped with the final specification and designed the system. The team included fitters Tony and Dan supported by apprentices; they completed the job in 4½ days with the minimum of collateral damage precisely to quote and left me with full instructions for the new Nest controls. Carpets were protected with covering in main traffic areas. The site was left clean and tidy. I highly recommend this company and will turn to them again in the future when the need arises.

New oil fired central heating system

Having lived in our house for over 30 years without central heating, we thought it time for change......We contacted Paul@Bramshaws in October who came out to see us soon after to discuss our needs, he gave us a good idea of an oil fired system with outdoor boiler to suit us and a mutually agreed date to start our work by the end of January. The work was carried out competently by the lovely Ryan and ably assisted by Matt. They were both always polite and helpful and work was completed on budget and within the expected 2 week time frame. Now after a month or so of wintry weather we are still enjoying our now warm home and are both thrilled with the result. Thanks to all.

After several years of problems with air locks in our shower I discussed the problem with Bramshaws. The partner who attended immediately saw and understood what was wrong and we were booked in for a days work to rectify the problem. On the day in question all work was carried out quietly and cleanly and we were left with a system that now works flawlessly. Thank you Richard!

My team where punctual, polite and friendly, the work was done to schedule and on budget. They test ran the boiler, set and demonstrated the thermostat making sure I understood its function. Finally Leaving my kitchen clean, tidy removing all debris on leaving. I recommend them very highly.

I wanted to replace a very old Glowworm rear flue system boiler, wall mounted above a worktop in the kitchen. My nearest WHICH Trusted Trader quoted a top flue boiler with the flue exiting through the roof and an internal condensate pipe run to the kitchen sink drain, a very tidy solution but complicated, particularly the drain pipe because this would have to run behind a refrigerator that was tight to the wall. Considering the work involved, their quote was reasonable but they weren’t willing to discuss any changes to pipework. Bramshaw were more flexible and happy to fit new Glowworm with rear flue using the original flue exit position and with an external 32mm condensate pipe run to a nearby drain. Not so neat but a simpler solution, their quote was similar so OK. The boiler was fitted four weeks after accepting the quote, they allocated one and a half days and came on the day and time promised. Their fitters were polite and efficient, they put down dust sheets to protect floor and worktop, removed all rubbish and left the place clean. The GasSafe certificate and guarantee were issued immediately after final payment.

We found Bramshaw Heating and Plumbing through trusted traders and we certainly made the right decision. From the very beginning we felt listened to and whether it was from the first impression of meeting Matt regarding the pricing up of the job; the extremely polite, hard-working and knowledgeable Dan (not forgetting Charlie his apprentice) and last but not least, Rich who's finishing off including the tiling was outstanding. The communication from the outset was excellent even if they never listened to us about not needing to take their shoes off. What's more our stair carpets have never been cleaned so thoroughly. In terms of professionalism everything was stripped back to the walls, all pipework hidden, then re-boarded. All of this work was undertaken by the team including the flooring and plastering. Absolutely over the moon with the result and would without doubt recommend Bramshaw.

New Oil Boiler

They have recently replaced our old oil boiler with a new one. The workmanship has been excellent and they have all been great to work with. This is despite us bombarding them with other "little" jobs like new shower, taps, tiling etc, which they completed to a very high standard and without any moans. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will certainly be using them again myself.

We cannot praise Bramshaw too highly. They installed a new Rayburn to replace the existing Stanley range in a 500 year old cottage where nothing is square or level. They removed the Stanley range cooker/boiler and brought in the new 660 Rayburn up four steps. At all times we felt confident in the way they the approached a complex job from plumbing to wiring and setting up a smart system so we can access the heating system from anywhere. Leadership was evident from the start and is a credit to MD Paul and co director Richard. The team (we had seven at one stage) were not only well trained but also highly motivated. They were smart in their company livery and cleared up perfectly at the end of every day. Our site manager Jack was exceptionally capable and was adept at answering my questions without making me feel foolish for asking and provided excellent guidance and motivation to the apprentice working alongside him. Excellent team drawing on the skills of a number of employees when required. The job was was done really well managing a range of skills and materials within the 9 days without interruptions. The work was completed as quoted. The team worked well with each other .Worthy of note was the high quality of supervision of the apprentices. At all times Paul, who managed the project, was contactable with quick replies. All questions were promptly and clearly explained. The team were always punctual meeting coordination deadlines well. They were exceptionally tidy leaving the property cleared at the end of each day. My wife commented that the engineers and apprentice were the tidiest workers she has met. Always consulted on any options that needed decisions. I would recommend this firm without hesitation.

Nobody wants problems to arise during a job but when they do, the key thing is how they are resolved. Bramshaw completed for us challenging work on the replacing two outdated boilers with one but maintaining the zone division within the property. They provided quote that was correct reflection of what we paid in the end. The work was delivered professionally within agreed timeframe and during their work the disruption to daily life was really minimal. The engineers worked in a tidy way and cleaned everything once the work was completed. We are very pleased with the job and definitely would recommend. They are experts in their field.
