Contacted trader on 19th July 2019 to book a job cutting back hedge & overgrowth of roof of outbuilding in garden - earliest they could do this job was Thurs 12th Sept so made sure I was working from home that day. Sadly my father in law passed away the night before on Weds 11th so I was staying overnight with my mother in law on Weds but as i'd had the job booked in for 3 months and bit late to cancel I rushed home on the Thurs ensuring i was home by 8:30am when they were due to arrive. Spend the next 30 mins trying to contact them to find out where they were (phoned office number and a mobile num listed on office answerphone) as was keen for the job to get started and done asap so I could get back to my family. Finally after 30 mins and several unanswered phone calls I got through to Ian who said they should be there & he'd find out what'd going on - I then got a text to say they had van trouble and were waiting on a mechanic and would be a couple of hours so could the re-schedule - was keen to just get back so said no problem (but no one had contacted me at all about this delay and wasted 30 mins waiting for them as well as rushing to get home on time). I asked when is the next possible date as had already waited 3 months for first booking and he asked if he could let me know tomorrow as he was still on annual leave and i said no problem and didn't hear from them again. I text again on Tues 17th Sept to ask when the job was being re-scheduled but no reply.

From the first conversation over the phone with Ian I knew I had picked the right company to cut down the two trees. Ian kindly came and viewed the trees whilst I was at work and yesterday Ian and his team came and did the work. What a transformation. The trees look much better and they took away all the waste with them all for a great price.

Very professional throughout, from Ian coming round to give very reasonable quote, to Dan and the boys cutting down 40 ft plus wild cherry tree leaving minimal tree stump. Used neighbours' garden for access . Seamless from start to finish- very polite and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Did not even stop for a cuppa. No damage to any shrubs , fencing or sheds. Really pleased with the work . Highly recommend.

I have just had Ian and his team complete a superb tree service in my garden. I found all the guys courteous, efficient and speedy, with them leaving my garden in an immaculate condition. Simply nothing was too much trouble and it was an absolute pleasure to receive this company into my grounds. My neighbours noticed too how amazingly well they all worked from every aspect. Even down to ensuring that any small amount of debris that had fallen into their gardens was quickly retrieved. I was so pleased I chose the Brentwood Tree Care Company to carry out the work, as they really did do an amazing job. Thank you once again Ian and to your wonderful team.

I am very puzzled by the raving reviews here and unless my experience is highly unusual, which I doubt, I cannot recognise the service I received. Ian's lads were very friendly and professional at the time but they left the garden in a bigger mess than I thought was needed. They took down a massive sycamore tree and some damage was expected but I don't understand why the flower bed on the other side of the garden was damaged, for example. Worse was the way they removed the protection cover, stripping large chunks of paint from the skirting boards. But since the the lads were really nice and I didn't want to ruin anyone's reputation, I was going to overlook all that. However, shortly after the job was finished, the stump started to grow back so I called Ian. Ian seems to have some poor communication skills and your voice message/SMS/email will go days, even weeks without a response. But this was beyond acceptable (perhaps because it was a "finished" job he had to come back to?). Eventually I told him I was giving up chasing him and he finally showed up and finished the job. So great, we can move on from that. But I cannot recommend his services because dealing with his company was a frustrating experience. In hindsight, I would have preferred to pay a few hundred pounds more to get a better customer service and be 100% sure that the service on the ground was as good as can be.

I had a lot of quotes to cut down one mature ash tree and prune another. Ian gave a very competitive price and the team (very friendly and professional) did a superb job working in a restricted space. It was a full day's work and Ian even stopped by to check that all was going well. Most of the work involved working over a neighbour's garden, and I was very pleased how considerate the guys were to my neighbour, and how well they cleared up afterwards. I have already recommended them to friends and neighbours.

I chose Ian & his team because the quote was very reasonable & Ian himself extremely professional yet friendly & approachable. I'm always nervous about employing new trades as I've had bad experiences in the past & being a 63 yr old woman living alone now, my apprehension was even greater! However, the quality & efficiency of the work far exceeded my expectations. The task was to hard prune a massive willow tree & to cut back shrubs & bushes. The guys were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The clearing up was done in no time & meticulously. Through no fault of theirs they were unable to gain access to my neighbours to retrieve cuttings so my neighbours threw everything back over after they'd left. I was devastated but one call to Ian & by the time I'd got home from work they'd been & collected what I couldn't clear myself. In fact Ian said I should've left it & they would've cleared it all! I would 100% recommend Brentwood Tree Care. I wouldn't even bother getting other quotes!

Engaged Ian of Brentwood Tree Care to give a quote to fell 2 trees in our back garden. Not only was the quote competitive, the level of service provided was top class. The lads were very courteous and friendly but most importantly not a single leaf was left behind after they finished......they did an absolutely amazing job and tidied up superbly afterwards. Definitely comes highly recommended.

I had a large high tree in the front drive that had started to lean badly. the tree had a Tree Protection Order (TPO) and everything had to be agreed with the council in advance of any work. I had three different companies provide quotes and having met them all and before seeing any quotes I was most impressed by Ian Dawson of Brentwood Tree Care . Once the quotes arrived I was pleased that Ian's was the most competitive . As soon as I instructed Brentwood Tree Care they managed everything with the council . Brentwood Tree Care arrived at the agreed time and they were first class. They were very professional , focused and provided a quality service. They were very tidy and ensured that we were completely satisfied with the result. They even sawed the logs up to the correct size for our fire . I couldn't fault them at all and would very highly recommend Brentwood Tree Care and I will be using them again .

Job was to fell one tree and prune a second tree. Took the trouble to protected our new patio first with sheeting. Super quick and efficient work. Left garden neat and tidy. Competitive price. Thrilled with result. Guys were very friendly and professional.

Jumped online viewed check a trade, had 3 quotes and not only were Brentwood Tree care priced exceptionally well, they were able to fit me in within a few days as I wanted a very large tree cut down before a party. The team arrived promptly, dressed in all the correct gear. They were friendly, professional and completed the job in a short time. Can't recommend them enough as we previously had another company rip us off for a much smaller job and arrived with little knowledge or kit. We've already booked them for further work in our garden, won't hesitate to use and recommend Brentwood Tree Care!

Ian's lads Dan and Michael came to trim our pear tree on 1/2/2016, they were polite, punctual, they listened and did exactly what we asked them to do. They tidied up perfectly you would never have known they had been. We would recommend this firm very highly.

Ian expressed in-depth knowledge when we first met. Upon agreeing a very reasonable price Ian and his team not only went above and beyond but done so in an extremely professional manner. A great team and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Of the trees they removed, they cut the wood in to sizeable chunks for use in my wood burner. All in all, a very satisfied customer.
