Brightside Heating Ltd has changed its trading name to Brightside Heating Services Ltd as from 01.04.2017.

We offer a wide range of expert solutions for gas boilers, heating repair and servicing.

We can even diagnose some faults over the telephone, saving valuable time and money for our customers.

Established in 2001, a family run business, we have built a solid reputation throughout the Medway towns and surrounding areas, and we take pride in offering a one-stop-shop that you can rely on to be efficient, professional and competitively priced for the repair of your heating system.

As Gas Safe registered gas and central heating engineers, we can handle all types of gas boiler and heating system repairs and servicing, gas safety inspections for landlords etc, replacement radiators, cylinders, controls, power flushing and descaling, insurance emergency work and letting agencies.

Paul was very professional, friendly and advised how best to get hot water running quickly now the cold weather is coming. He undertook the boiler service with efficiency and left everything very tidy upon completion. Will definitely use Brightside again.

Stuart called to undertake our annual boiler service. Always pleasant and polite he undertook the work professionally. On checking the pressure he discovered a leak on a valve. He was ready and prepared with the spare parts to complete the work. All good.

Our annual boiler service was due and we have used Brightside Services since it was installed 10 years ago. As usual, the engineer phoned us 30 minutes before he was due to arrive, which is very helpful. He turned up on time and completed the service in a very efficient way. Left everything as he found it, and was very polite. We have every confidence in the business and are happy that our boiler is in good working order. First class

I have used Brightside on both my own property and on my rental properties for at least six or seven years. Jobs have included one-offs, such as changing taps, fitting radiator valves to leak tracing, and repair as well as regular boiler maintenance. In all cases, the work has been fairly priced (call-out charges quoted in advance), prompt, and for gas safety certificates, diarised each year with excellent liaison with letting agents and tenants. They are also extremely flexible, a factor which prompted this review. Having recently received a water bill which was four times what it should have been, I rang Gary for advice, and he patiently talked me through how I could eliminate various causes on a step-by-step basis until it was possible to be precise about the source of the leak. This has so far reaped enormous potential savings in emergency call-out charges from specialist firms who would otherwise charge premium rates for on-site diagnosis. I thoroughly recommend Brightside as an ethical and fair contractor.

You find out the worth of a company when things do not go to plan, that is when good companies shine. Brightside Heating Services Ltd fail dismally at this point and have no concept of customer service, the owner manager Gary has no interest in his customers at all.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with our service. However, to our knowledge, we have resolved the issue at no cost to you, as a gesture of goodwill. In July, we serviced your boiler and hot water cylinder. During our visit, we recharged the heating system expansion vessel as there was no charge or air inside. Subsequently, you reported that the system pressure was dropping. As discussed over the phone, we suspected that the expansion vessel was not holding its charge. We explained that we would return to investigate the issue and, if it was found to be related to our initial work, the visit would be free of charge. If the cause was unrelated to our work, a call-out fee would apply. You expressed dissatisfaction with this approach. We did agree to revisit your property free of charge. Upon inspection, we confirmed our suspicion: the expansion vessel had again lost its charge, causing the pressure drop. Our engineer replaced the schrader core and recharged the vessel. We advised that if the pressure issue recurred, the vessel itself would likely need to be replaced. Since then, we have not received any further contact from you. This fault was not a result of our engineer’s work and, under normal circumstances, the second visit would have been chargeable. Nonetheless, we chose not to bill you for this in the interest of customer satisfaction. Given these efforts, we feel that this review does not fairly reflect the service provided. Radiator leak

Was contacted by Brightside after contacting home insurance regarding a radiator leak on Friday evening. Received phone call early on Saturday and arranged for the plumber to call on Sunday, which was the earliest convenient time for me. On Sunday morning received a call from Mark, the plumber, to say he would be with me in 45 minutes. Arrived on time, checked the radiator and said faulty valve. Replaced the valve, bled all the other radiators in the house, checked the boiler and the central heating was working. Mark was knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient . Could not rate the service I received from Brightside highly enough.

I have been on a yearly service contract with Brightside for years, I cannot fault them. I had to call them out for a boiler problem on the 14th March I spoke to Gary (the Boss) the next day Sam arrived and fixed it. I was very impressed. All Gary’s team over the years of maintaining my boiler have been excellent.

Office staff were very friendly and everything they said would happen did happen. The nice man, Paul, turned up to service my boiler and check the heating system. He even managed to bleed a “self bleeding valve” on a radiator that the previous company I had a contract with said needed replacing. After 7 years it is actually working as it should. Was very fast but thorough. He reset some workings on the boiler so everything is fine for another year. Meanwhile if I do have any problems I now have a maintenance contract with them. If they send Paul again I know we are in good hands. It is a LPG boiler and he obviously knows his trade.

Brightside Heating Services Ltd were sent by my insurance company to investigate an issue with my boiler. They identified the problem and an additional defect. They fixed the initial problem under my insurance and the second defect privately. They clearly explained the issues to me and what was needed to correct them. My boiler has been working perfectly since then. I will use them in future for any private work I need.

Efficient, professional and friendly firm of heating engineers
We have been using this firm for a number of years now for routine gas boiler servicing and maintenance and built up a good relationship. A representative called by arrangement today and carried out an annual routine boiler service and left the area clean and tidy.

My unvented cylinder which powers hot water sprang a leak and my home insurance referred me to Brightside. (And as in their name) Bright and early, plumber Mark: A most pleasant, and low maintenance professional, arrived to sort out and sure up the leak. Further dealings with Brightside on the phone, regarding a possible new cylinder replacement, I received a most informative chat with Gary in the office. Home emergency insurance claim through insurers to locate and repair leak

We had an emergency cover plan from our insurers and after discovering leaking water they referred us to Brightside. The initial contact from the Brightside office was immediate, polite and helpful. We were delighted that the plumber came out this morning promptly as promised. Rob was polite and informative as discussed next steps as he investigated the source of the leak. Rob diagnosed and fixed the leak and provided more long term advice to reduce the risk of further issues in years to come. So impressed were we that we are that we are going to use Brightside for our next service and for the future works. I recommend Brightside.
