Welcome to our website.

We are a medium sized, family run heating and plumbing company. We cover all aspects of domestic plumbing and heating services from breakdowns to repairs to replacements. We employ all of our engineers directly. We also work in commercial premises with domestic appliances carrying out routine maintenance as required.

We have been trading from the same address in Hendon - Sunny Gardens Parade since 1960 and we are very well known in the area for our excellent standard of work, friendly efficient service, reasonable transparent prices and good advice. We strive to maintain our excellent relationship with our customers.

We offer an excellent unsurpassed personal service from your initial contact with our office to completion of works. We are prompt and efficient and honest.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 5:30pm although your call may be dealt with outside office hours.

We are Gas safe registered no. 20979 and members of the APHC licensed plumber's scheme.

I have been using Broits Ltd for over 15 years, in all that time, they have never let me down. I am a landlord, so have several boilers to maintain. I know I just have to call them and they will do the rest.

They were very quick in responding but I found them horrendously expensive at ÔøΩ114/hour - more than I charge as a highly qualified consulting engineer. I used them in an emergency and because my usual plumber (who charges less than half the Broits rate) was on holiday. I don't think I will use Broits again - although the job was done satisfactorily.

The price of minimum charge of £95.00 + VAT (£114.00) for up to one hours labour was given prior to work commencing. We attended very promptly and sorted out the problem within the given times and price. The price is consistent with similar companies charging rates.

Our boiler pump went in early December '07 (another plumber recommended on Which? Local found the problem & recommended we get a CORGI registered plumber to fix the pump given its position). Broits was the most local to us, so based upon the other review (even though a bit out of date) we figured we'd give them a try. We told them that our boiler & pump were in an awkward, rather inaccessible position under our kitchen counter. They gave us an estimate over the phone (which was fair, not cheap, but not exorbitant). He came & did the replacement of our pump - & it wasn't easy, given the position under the kitchen counter. The actual amount billed was about £80 higher than the estimate, but still reasonable for CORGI registered plumbers. The work was done well & efficiently - he arrived promptly too. We paid for the work before he left, but were told an invoice would be posted to us. But we were a bit disappointed in the invoice that they sent us - it had NO itemisation, just the total amount. It should have had the itemisation for the pump cost, the labour, etc. & it didn't. So, for us, that is a negative point & if you choose to use them you may want to specifically request this itemisation for your information/protection.
