Jamie fitted a new combi boiler to replace my old conventional boiler. He also upgraded the gas pipe from the meter. This was a difficult job as it meant taking up floorboards. He worked tirelessly and got the job completed on time. He has a great attitude to his work and was never defeated by the various issues that arose during this installation. He removed the old water tanks from the loft and he even hoovered up when he was finished. I have no hesitation in recommending Jamie for his outstanding work and will definitely use him again when necessary.

We've used Jamie from Browns several times now, and each time he's been professional, given good advice and sorted out issues efficiently. Most recently he with another person replaced a combi boiler and installed a smart thermostat. He was patient with getting me set up on the system and tidied up perfectly after the work was finished, despite it being a big job. When he switched the water back on, he even refilled the kettle as he could see I was waiting for a cup of tea, which was a thoughtful thing to do! Very pleased with the finished work. The scope of work for the boiler removal and replacement was clearly detailed and explained. All my queries were given good explanation e.g. location of magnetic filter which would get in the way of the new dishwasher, and also merits of remote control of the boiler using Hive; and routing of the condenser pipe. The job was completed within the day and the premises were left clean and tidy. The follow up included registration of the boiler with the Manufacturer. The guarantee duly arrived a few days later. I would happily recommend Jamie as a reliable and competent engineer.

I contacted Jamie following two visits from large plumbing companies that both charged me for callouts and time before saying that our stopcock was not replaceable as it was in an awkward place without much pipe to work with. Jamie answered my email very quickly and made me feel confident that he would be able to replace it. He's been today, and completed the job in half the expected time, leaving everything clean and tidy. He's polite, presentable and a generally nice guy! Prior to getting our kitchen updated, we needed to upgrade our old combi boiler. I contacted Jamie by email and he got back to us on the same day. He provided advice on what would need doing, particularly the re-run of the gas supply so that the new pipe was upgraded to the required 22mm. I sent the boiler models we were looking at and he was able to accommodate this in his quote. Once the quote was agreed, he was able to do the work the week after. The work took 2 days and Jamie was very efficient. The new boiler looks great and works well. We discussed how best to do the gas re-run and it looks just as we'd hope it would. He also upgraded some leaky towel rail valves and toilet in the bathroom. The toilet was worse than expected but Jamie went to Screwfix whilst here to get some additional parts. Once all work was complete, he cleared up and tidied after himself. We'll definitely use Jamie for future plumbing works.

Jamie did an excellent job replacing our very old water tank and boiler system. He came out to quote promptly, provided a detailed estimate of charges, booked us in, arrived on time, worked exceptionally hard during the day and left having tidied after himself as well. Having looked around for a suitable engineer to carry out work for a replacement boiler and smaller works I decided to contact Browns Heating after reading lots of good reviews. First impressions were positive so booked in a date for the work. From initial contact through to the completed work I am delighted that I made this choice. The work was top notch, very neat and tidy and was completed in a day even though Jamie from Browns Heating needed to stay later than normal working hours to finish the work. (Without grumbling) Based on my experience I would without hesitation put the company forward for recommendation for heating and plumbing works. I had lots of questions about future work in my house and Jamie was full of good ideas and showed that Browns Heating are very knowledgeable in their field. I will definitely use again.

We contacted Jamie for a quote for a new boiler after our flue had developed a leak (our current boiler was already 15+ years old). We already had 2 quotes, one from British Gas, which was of course was quite expensive and another from a trade person we found on Local Hero's which was significantly cheaper than British Gas. Initially Jamie quoted a similar price to British Gas but after some negotiation we agreed a better price. Although Jamie was slightly more expensive than the trade person we found on Local Hero's we decided to go with Jamie for the following reasons: *He was an accredited worcester bosch fitter *He had great reviews already *When we spoke to him he was really knowledgeable, was able to answer all our questions and gave great advice *We also needed the boiler fitted ASAP as we had no hot water or heating and he was able to do this within a few days. We were so pleased that we went with Jamie. He did an amazing job and couldn't be more pleased. He was friendly and professional. He took the time to explain everything and was on the go from start to finish. What surprised us most was the care and attention he took in our property, unfortunately our flue was boxed in and he needed to break into the box to take out the old flue and replace the new flue, he took extra time and consideration to limited the damage and then repaired it (something we are quite certain British Gas would not have done). Also the work came in slightly under the original quote.

I cannot recommend Browns Heating Services highly enough. Jamie has a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude to his trade. His initial visit and quote were thorough, and he explained clearly what he was going to do, giving me choices, recommendations and a competitive price. His communications were excellent. I cannot fault the job he did. He and his colleague showed respect to my home, were completely trustworthy and worked consistently throughout the time that they were here. Nothing was a problem that couldn’t be solved and he explained everything that I needed to know as he went along. At the end of the job, everything was left clean, tidy and all rubbish was removed. Jamie and Pat replaced my old Alpha combi boiler. Replaced most of the gas supply pipe from where it enters the flat because the diameter of the existing pipe was too small. The old boiler had not been condensing, so they replaced the flue and added plume management kit which takes fumes away from my bedroom window. They installed a pump within boiler cupboard to pump condensate water around the kitchen at skirting board/plinth level, into the kitchen sink waste pipe. Jamie explained this would make an occasional humming noise but so far I haven't heard it at all. Installed a wireless thermostat in my living room. Magna cleanse of all the rads. Budget: It was done exactly to budget as in the quote. I had obtained a second quote for installation of a Vaillant combi, which was £1,000+ more. 2nd quote did not need me to clear half of living room and bedroom out. Well worth clearing out for £1,000 difference! First impressions: Jamie was unfazed by all my questions, clearly knew his stuff and calmly explained what was needed. Later I emailed questions and he responded promptly and straightforwardly. He and Pat were polite, tidy and efficient, and disposed of the old boiler straight away. The immediate difference is warmth in every room, and quietness. Am very pleased with the result, they did a brilliant job. Schedule: The day before, Jamie contacted me to delay the work by a day. This was OK for me on this occasion.

I have no problem recommending Brown's Heating Services based on the work just carried out. I got a quote from Jamie on the Sunday evening and by Thursday the work was done! This was a boiler replacement and Jamie provided quotes based on my requirements rather than pushing any particular make as I had with British Gas. The quote was also several hundred pounds less than BG. Jamie was excellent at keeping me informed about when he could make it and luckily (for me) he had a client drop out so I was able to take the spot that same week. He and his colleague arrived when they said they would and took care to make sure they kept a good distance and wore protective shoes to make sure nothing was brought into the house. The whole job was well executed and professional (including pointing out the dodgy wiring left behind by the previous plumber). Jamie literally left the kitchen cleaner than when he arrived. Top work!

Just wanted to share my thoughts. Jamie is extremely professional and courteous. I used him to service my Worcester Bosch boiler and also recently, to move a radiator from its existing place. I needed a new shower unit and had the unit fitted today. I found Mr Brown and his colleague to be very knowledgeable and professional. A first class job indeed.

We hired Browns to install a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler to replace two ancient boilers in the house we just moved into. It was quite a complex job given the age and positioning of our old system. Jamie was very professional when he arrived to give a quote and was very clear in explaining what the job would entail, any challenges that might come up that would add to the cost or disruption, and laid out our options clearly. He wasn't pushy to get us to buy the most expensive system. It was quite expensive but not out of line with other quotes we received, including British Gas. We thought in advance we wanted a Worcester Bosch, and knew that he was accredited with them, so that did help, as he could give us a guaranteed product. After telling him we wanted to go ahead with the quote he was very quick in getting onto the job. He worked fast and left the place spotlessly clean afterwards. So far everything has been great with the new boiler too. Would definitely recommend Browns to anyone looking for a new boiler installation.

After dealing with various boiler engineers over the years who invariably end up being difficult to communicate with, impatient, incompetent, unreliable, unqualified, etc., it's great to finally find one, after much searching online, who is qualified (Gas Safety, G3 certified, etc.), good communicator, friendly, helpful, and reliable! Jamie is a credit to the industry, and has all the right qualifications for dealing with my unvented cylinder system. He was able to diagnose it quickly and get the hot water running again by replacing the two thermostats. I also have a new Worcester Bosch combi-boiler in another property that he is also qualified to deal with (Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer in fact), so I will definitely be calling upon him again to service that boiler.

Had a new boiler installed. Very pleased with the work carried out. Jamie did an excellent job. He even did few extra bits outside the quote that required mending as part of installation e.g. fixing an unnecessary hole and wires. Very competitive pricing. Courteous and punctual service. He came all prepared and left the place tidy.

Jaime was super efficient. As soon as I rang him to check out my boiler when it failed he made time the same day to assess the problem and soon after a few days he was available to install a new one. My boiler broke and I contacted Jamie Brown to see if he could do an emergency replacement. Jamie was absolutely perfect, on time, quick, super clean (the house was cleaner after he left than how it was when he arrived) and gave me and my wife lots of good advice. I fully recommend Jamie Brown he is very personable, professional and considerate. Jamie helped us with an emergency fix, speaking to us over New Years - he swiftly sourced a part and installed on a Saturday to get us up and running. We then later replaced the old boiler a job that many didn’t want to do because of a long hidden flue - he was always punctual, polite and did his very best to cause us as little disruption as possible, cleaning & tidying after himself and working around our toddler, as quietly as could be possible with this kind of job. Very happy with the work so far and prices are fair and transparent. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
