C Nicol? No thanks. We thought we had found a reliable person to help service our elderly parents' boiler and other gas needs 2 years ago. How wrong we were! He came to "fix" mum's gas fire in July. He fitted a new valve, and said it was fine. We received his invoice on 7th invoice and we paid it within 5 minutes. When mum tried to use the fire end of August, it didn't work. I sent an email to Charlie as there was no great rush and he probably had other more urgent things to attend to. Still had no answer after a few days so I called. He assured me he knew what the problem would be (so why hadn't he dealt with it when he was there?!) and that he'd come in the next few days. No Charlie. I sent another message, I called, I sent a WhatsApp. Silence. My brother tried contacting him, nothing. You knew full well there was an elderly lady who needed your help (and who had promptly paid your for your services) and yet, you didn't have the decency to either call back or turn up to resolve it. Shame on you. Shame on you.

We agreed a contract with C Nicol Gas Services to replace an ancient, inefficient boiler and flue (which SGN had deemed unsafe as we moved into our new house). It was a difficult job - reworking old pipes and valves- to create a heating and hot water system with controllable zones and WiFi access in a home built in the 1890s. Charlie took it all into consideration when choosing particular models of Bosch and Hive equipment for us and methodically installed everything assisted by Scott. They were both professional, friendly and tidy tradesmen throughout, always turning up when they said and giving a good shift of work before leaving. They had a smile for us even when working outside in the rain or under our ashy old floors. We asked them to do some additional work which turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. However Charlie and Scott put in the work and got it done. We were delighted by their approach and the outcome. We will use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them. This family business delivers excellent and reliable services service.

I decided to use C Nicol Gas Services as they were local and a Which trusted trader. Charlie provided a very competitive quote for the installation of a full central heating system and I had no hesitation in offering him the job. Both him and his son Scott fitted the new boiler and radiators at the end of September knowing that I’d need them to return to remove and refit radiators whilst I was renovating my house. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I also asked them to carry out some other work and again I wasn’t disappointed with the quality and standard they applied. I’ve added them to my list of contacts and will readily use their services again.

Found Charlie Nicol Gas Services on Worcester/Bosch site where he was recommended by Bosch and Which. From initial consultation to completion of work, everything was carried out as planned with good advice and first class workmanship all within agreed price. All was done in a professional manner with care taken to our home surroundings, coverings placed on flooring and awareness of Covid19 requirements. Mr Nicol was very informative and helpful as the work progressed and left us with full knowledge of the new remote control system. The work was finalised on day 2 as scheduled. I have no hesitation in recommending him as the work was carried out to our entire satisfaction.

Charlie and his son recently fitted a new condensing boiler, radiators and bathroom suite in my new house extension. Charlie is an old school tradesman who is very neat and tidy and takes pride in his work. Explains everything as he goes along and nothing is too much trouble for him. Great father and son team. Would definitely use them again and would highly recommend to anyone.
