Hi, I'm James Tutton. After serving in the British Army, I started Chelmsford Removals in 2007. What began with just an ad and a single van has grown substantially over 17 years. Now, we're a key player in home and commercial moves within the region.

Our company holds accreditation from the British Association of Removers and is a Which? Trusted Trader. We were also honoured with the Essex Business Excellence Award for Best Growing Small Business. This was our first move in 30 years and we were dreading the experience. But from the initial phone enquiry to the quote visit to the completion of the unloading at our new house, we were completely delighted with the services that Chelmsford Removals gave us. We would totally recommend the packing service done on the day before the move day which was completed in a tenth of the time it would have taken us to do. The move day went with the minimum of fuss and the crew accommodated our wishes fully to their abilities. The delivery day was also completed with a level of efficiency that should make the company feel proud of having such professional employees. From the first visit to give us a quote, we were impressed. No hard sell, just great advice. Moving is the most stressful thing we have done and Chelmsford Removals could not have been better. Packing materials delivered before moving day, then on moving day itself, the guys were so hardworking and professional, it took a lot of the stress out of the day. All carpets were covered, proper furniture bags to move bulky items. We cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Moved from Essex to Norfolk with Chelmsford Removals and could not have had a better service - from the initial quote with the helpful assessor to the office staff who accommodated our move with only a days notice to the three moving guys who were cheerful and speedy and made what could have been a stressful day very easy - would highly recommend.

The move went smoothly from start to finish. I was impressed with how quickly everything got packed onto the van, considering the amount that there was. The men were very polite and helpful throughout. The company came highly recommended and didn't disappoint.

The initial contact with the company was informing and efficient. Both the "Packing Team" and The "Moving Team" were friendly and very hardworking - A sign of a competent worker is to make the job look very easy and they certainly did! Challenges were met with a positive and professional attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. There was no hidden extras and communications with the office staff was excellent. A misunderstanding on my behalf was dealt with in a courteous, positive and helpful way/manner. A slight hic-up with a refund on hiring wardrobe boxes was also dealt with very swiftly and satisfactory. I would highly recommend this company.
