We recently used Chelmsford Removals to help us move house. From the very start, to the quote, the booking and actual removal, the team were extremely professional, polite and friendly. When we contacted the office, we were always dealt with in very quick time with an accurate response to our queries. On the day of the move, the removal team arrived bang on time. They all introduced themselves by name and were all polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they went to work with the minimum of fuss. All carpets were covered and doors protected with padded covers. I looked at some reviews before selecting Chelmsford Removals so I was hoping they would give good service. It was pretty seamless from contacting the office to make an enquiry, to the boxes turning up on time and the removal men doing a great job. Obviously, I only have experience of one set of removal men on my particular house move (I understand the company is pretty big), but they were friendly, always checking where items should go and got the job done efficiently. Thankfully their service did not add to the inevitable stresses on a moving day. Happy to recommend them.

Great team who help my elderly mum move with lots of patience and understanding. They were very efficient and took lots of care with her possessions. Nothing was too much trouble and the day went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend them and use again myself if moving in future.

Absolutely brilliant guys who made us feel very comfortable with them coming into our home - very professional, nothing was too much trouble, easy to talk to and very understanding of the dust under the beds! 🤦🏻‍♀️ They handled all our furniture with care and Terry did a great job dismantling our wardrobes & Beds - we had to put our worldly goods in storage for 6 weeks - and it was so easy to organise the move out of storage and into our new home - where Rob did a great job of assembling our wardrobes & bed! Really impressed with this company, would recommend and would definitely use again. From the pre-packing service (all using recyclable materials) to the move day itself, everyone was polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Chelmsford removals were amazing. They packed our home & we’re not intrusive in anyway & worked constantly. The removal was incredible. Arrived punctually on time, protected floors & walls while viewing the packages & furniture that required moving. A 3 story family home was packed into 2 vans 2.5hours. Unpacking was equally efficient. When unpacking, not a single item had been damaged. I highly recommend Chelmsford removals - should I move again I would not hesitate to utilise their survives again.

The company was clear in the bookings process, enabling the chosen completion date. They sent 4 staff who were all excellent, calm, meticulously careful, and ultra-efficient. The lorry was packed by 9 a.m. Even though they had to wait until 3 p.m. for completion and unloading, the guys remained absolutely positive. They listened to information on where things should go in the new house, and brought stuff in very efficiently, in the best order. I'd recommend this firm without any hesitation: top quality and they removed almost all the anxiety I had about the moving process. Brilliant people.

This was a 3 day downsizing move in the snow. Nothing fazed them, they were cheerful and helpful, even when I lost the kettle and could not make any tea. Only slight niggle was that, without prior warning, they wanted payment of the balance before they departed, when we had no mobile signal and were somewhat stressed. There was a small packing error in that a kitchen cupboard wasn't cleared. However, we had a lot of pictures and antiques and nothing was broken or damaged. I would definitely recommend them as professionals who know what they are doing. It is a pity that, 'due to Covid' they would not collect the packing materials. However, they took back the mobile wardrobes - not sure what is the difference? Thank you, Chelmsford Removals, you did a good job.

From the start of booking, the initial survey, subsequent correspondence with the office and finally the efforts of the removal team, we felt that we were in good hands. We were very impressed by the service provided by Chelmsford Removals. The quote was certainly competitive, in fact 25% less than another one we received. After picking up boxes from their warehouse we felt we were in good hands and that feeling just continued. The lorries turned up promptly, the guys were cheerful at all times and treated our belongings with care from start to finish. Sofas and mattresses were covered before moving, tacky plastic was put down to protect carpets and a padded bag protected the front door. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, especially in these strange times. CR made a challenging day very easy and I'm not sure why we were so tired at the end of the day. We recently used Chelmsford Removals when moving house from East London to Hertfordshire. From getting the initial quote through to moving day Chelmsford removals were great to deal with. The quote was reasonably priced. During the lead up to the moving day the office staff were happy to answer any questions, however silly they seemed. And were quick to respond. On the moving day the lorry turned up on time. The staff were very efficient and friendly, and nothing was a problem. It really helped with the stress of the day, it was really reassuring to know our belongings were in good hands. The service Chelmsford removals provided was worth every penny!

From the moment I first had contact with Chelmsford Removals I knew they were a class act. Polite, efficient and customer focused. The chap that came to give us a quote knew exactly what we needed and informed us that we would need three days to complete the move from one big house to another. Having had quotes from others I was impressed how caring and genuine the detail was. On removal day we had two lorries and six men they packed our precious things perfectly and were cheerful and industrious. They worked as a team and again I felt that they knew that it was a big move for us too. On the second day on arrival in Devon they unpacked with care, and I could see that there was no damage, and that everything arrived intact. The final day saw the remainder of our things unloaded, and they left. It was a pleasure to serve them endless cups of tea and to cook them breakfast on the first morning in our new home. All in all the professionalism of the whole team was amazing, they knew what they were doing and worked efficiently and carefully. Such a good service on what is always a stressful day. “Fragile” pack on the day before, well worth the extra cost, done really efficiently and well. Great team on moving day, friendly, helpful. No stress while we were waiting for the keys, and then took great care to ensure things were where we wanted them. Beds quickly reassembled, washing machine connected. Very happy customers.

On both occasions all staff were friendly, reliable and professional. Each individual member we dealt with was polite, engaging, and a credit to the firm. Overall the company performed well during our engagement to move from Essex to Lincolnshire. Despite the restrictions at the time they fully surveyed the property, provided a competitive quote and, upon acceptance, arrived as scheduled to start the packing and loading. However, there was an aspect of the move that was not as we had originally agreed and signed for and this subsequently resulted in a few issues. The plan was to pack and load a large percentage of our belongings on Day 1 and return on Day 2 to collect the final items. On Day 2, three of the original seven crew were to travel to Lincolnshire and unload the most urgently required belongings and return to the house on Day 3 to unload the rest. This final element did not happen. It was quite clear that when we arrived at our new property shortly after the removal vehicles, the team were intent on unloading everything on that Day 2 and leaving. This decision culminated in a 'mad rush' at the end of the day to get the lorries emptied and our belongings into the property at somewhat of a haste so that the crew could go home rather than stay locally. We then found a couple of problems after their departure. A bedside table had been damaged. A small picture had its glass cracked and, more importantly our long case 'grandfather' clock was damaged and set up incorrectly. Unfortunately we were placed under pressure to sign off the move before the team left, which therefore gave us no ability to raise our concerns.

I have used Chelmsford removals twice in the last year and both times they completely exceeded my expectations. House moving is stressful and Chelmsford removals are so flexible and helpful that it really does help the process enormously. the office team are great and the removals team are brilliant - really friendly and can't do enough to help. they are so organised and speedy. I can't recommend this company enough, it's so refreshing to find a company that is proactive, completly solutions based and also good value.

I was recommended this company from a friend due to the exemplary service he received. Unfortunately my removal men were lazy and had no care at all. Due to COVID I was unable to be present in the property and therefore discussed with them the fact I had a new sofa that I wanted them to be careful off and brand new carpets laid at the new property I was happy to protect those carpets but was advised they would cover them adequately luckily halfway through I popped into the property to establish hardly any protection had been placed and a huge portion of carpet in all rooms had been walked over by all 3 operatives. This was raised and after a sarcastic response further protection which should of been laid at first was laid. I noticed that the sofa had been scrapped at the back side luckily hidden once the sofa was placed against the wall. When I raised the issue with the company, because the dirt on my carpet was not visual as the carpet is dark they would not do anything except apologise that I was disappointed they did not apologise about the operatives behaviour at all or offer to cover the cost for me to clean the carpet so that it was clean for my child to play on the floor. If you have new flooring/carpet possessions make sure someone is present to keep an eye on them so they don’t take the same liberties - it may just of been these particular operatives but the customer service beyond once they’ve received your payment is that they aren’t interested

In December 2018, I put all my furniture and possessions in storage with Chelmsford Removals for an unknown period due to downsizing and buying a badly neglected cottage which needed extending and completely restoring.That experience was carried out so professionally, from the quote to the brilliant packing and the final removals by very helpful guys. I eventually called all my stuff out of storage on 8th February 2020. The huge van arrived well on time and the two lovely guys were like watching poetry in motion. They protected my new carpets and moved so quickly and efficiently, unloading the copious amount of boxes and pieces of furniture into the right areas. I changed my mind about 2 large pieces that they had taken upstairs and they brought them back down with such good humour. There was also a lot to put in the summerhouse at the end of a long garden. This did not faze them. They were such lovely guys. At the end of the move, my house was in pristine condition, as were all of my possessions and now having unpacked I can confirm that not one cup or glass has been damaged. Amazing. I cannot speak highly enough about this organisation. They take so much of the stress off your shoulders. Well done

Due to my completion date changing few times, I had to rearrange my appointment couple of times. Every time team was very cooperative and did best to get me the preferred dates. Team arrived a day early and very efficient in packing all the fragile stuff carefully. On the day of move, they were again on time and did their work efficiently and carefully. All of them were very professional, helpful and cooperative all the time. They took all the stress out of moving home. Were equally efficient and quick in unloading and fixing all the furniture in the right rooms at our new home. On the day of our move the guys turned up early and quickly got to work. They covered the floor and doors to ensure nothing got damaged. They worked quickly both in packing up or flat and offloading at our new house. Everyone I encountered from arranging the quotes through to the actual move were professional and polite throughout. Had no previous experience of this firm but am glad I used them. Their service was prompt, courteous and professional at every stage from initial packing to removal into and then out of store 2 weeks later; with no mishaps. Neither were there any hidden charges and I think I got value for my money.

I book a removal on the 25 July 2019, they arrived on time and start right away. I put my staff in their stores and got it back on the 17/8/19. Again they were on time and in both occasions very polite and helpful. I only have good things to said about them as the were well over my expectations. They were everything I hoped they would be after their initial visit. We used this company to move us from East London to Ramsgate. We were impressed with the professional way that this was carried out to make the whole process go very smoothly. This was due to the hard working John & Terry, who's friendly manner and advice was invaluable to us. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their smiles and banter didn't waver even when i forgot to tell them I had changed my mind and wouldn't be taking the dishwasher and wouldn't need it to be dismantled and taken out. They just shrugged smiled and brought it back in again and reinstalled it. They were slightly more expensive than some of the other quotes we had but the extra amount was definitely worth the money. We used Chelmsford Removals to move my mother to her new home. She is 90 years old and had been living at her previous address for 57 years so she was a bit anxious about the move. The guys were very polite and friendly and they worked very hard and efficiently to quickly move everything to her new address. Their professionalism soon put my mothers mind at ease. In the new home they suggested the best positions to place the furniture. We opted for the optional Disassembly and Reassembly service which really took away the stress of moving. We were impressed from the moment their assessor arrived- he noted our stuff to move and was realistic about the effort that our move would take. We have lots of books!! Chelmsford Removers packed for us and nothing was found to be damaged post move. They always arrived on time and the team were all nice individuals. We opted for the full packing service, and this was such a good choice as Terry and Tom packed up the house in a very short space of time on the Saturday prior to the Monday move date, taking care to ensure that all our possessions were very secure and labelled for ease on move day. On the day itself the team arrived promptly and packed with such efficiency that we had time for a final deep clean before we left, which was fantastic. Upon arrival at our new home, The lorries were unpacked quickly, and everything placed in the rooms of our choice. The team had quite a wait while we waited for completion and the keys, but they stayed in very good spirits, and even helped with the final packing of our vendors lorries as they also used Chelmsford Removals. His hard working, friendly and most obliging team arrived promptly at 8am to move a house full of furniture a short distance from Barkingside to a nearby Big Yellow Box Company. I fully expected (& had reserved) two rooms, but solely thanks to the team's careful efforts and ingenuity they somehow managed to fill just one room to brimming, much to my expressed surprise. Their 'above the call of duty' efforts on my behalf saved me a considerable amount of storage fees over the following 6 months. On 7.2.2019 I had moved all the stored items from Big Yellow Box, Gants Hill, Ilford, Essex, to Frinton on Sea, Essex. It will not take two guesses at which removal company I used... We moved from Essex into London with the considerable assistance of Chelmsford Removals. From the professional planning, recommendations and quote, through the organising time leading up to the move and over the three days of the actual move, the service was outstanding from the whole team. We were reassured early on by the calm manner and clear advice we received and the office team maintained that feeling with their positive helpful approach. We had some favourite pieces of art carefully and expertly packed the day before the move which helped. Then the team of four worked hard and with practised teamwork to fill the large van ready for an overnight stop back in Chelmsford. The team arrived on the dot at 8am in London and did a brilliant job getting everything up to our flat. They were all wonderful! Professional, polite, fun and very helpful - putting large pieces of furniture back together and getting us properly set up in the new place. In summary, we feel very lucky to have found Chelmsford Removals. They were the first company we had round to quote and were so impressed we didn't look further and our trust in them was fully justified. The move was our first for 20 years and there was a lot of effort involved but Chelmsford Removals took away a great deal of the stress by being so good at what they do. We hired Chelmsford Removals to move from a flat to a house in November. They dropped off all the packing materials a few weeks in advance so we had plenty of time to start packing and on the day they had packed up our whole flat within a few hours. At the other end they were just as speedy unloading and we were in and unpacked in no time. They were so careful with both properties, taking every care possible that our belongs, carpets and woodwork stayed in perfect condition. Everyone kept telling us how stressful moving day was going to be, but these guys made it a breeze and we can't thank them enough. We'll definitely be using them again the next time we move.

We could not have asked for a better removal company. All 5 removers were professional, efficient, considerate and polite. A great display of teamwork packing up the vans and then unloading them at the new house. It was so helpful that they dismantled the washing machine and plumbed it in at the new house and also dismantled the bed and put that back together for us too. The whole team worked so hard, it was a long day yet they all still made time to chat and share a joke. We had been very stressed leading up to the move so this was such relief to feel confident and assured that the final step was is such good hands.

Last moved house 41 years ago, so we are not seasoned movers, but following an estimate by 'James' we were more than happy to trust our long awaited move to Chelmsford Removals. We were supplied ample new cardboard cartons of differing sizes a week before the date of the move, along with ample bubble wrap, sticky backed plastic and tissue paper for our chosen self packaging move. The day of the move went really smoothly, arrived at the alocated time, all carpets were protected with plastic film before many many boxes and our furniture securely loaded into their vehicles. Very friendly and efficient staff, who only needed regular tea and coffee to keep loading the vans. At the new house everything was placed exactly as requested, and no damage or breakages all day long. Superb service...... From booking the removal to the guys leaving us in a our new home had to be one of the most seamless exercises throughout the whole moving house experience. The team of 3 they sent couldn't do enough to help, we had packed the boxes, allocated them a room number for the new house and that's where the ended up up. From the moment they arrived to load up to the moment they left us in Lincolnshire, not one moan not one complaint, never seen such a team they made it stress free helpful, no mess. Fantastic company to deal with. Efficient, accurate, professional and friendly. From the first telephone contact, visit for valuation, delivery of packing material through to the moving date itself, the team was a pleasure to work with. No hard selling, just proper advising. Arriving exactly at agreed time the guys went about their work in a professional and efficient manner but taking a lot of care not to damage anything. All carpets and main doors were covered, proper furniture bags to move bulky items were provided on the day, clothes from wardrobes they packed in their cardboard wardrobes and hanged to a new wardrobes in our new home.
