I have tried on several occasions by phone and email to arrange a site visit. None of my communications has ever been answered

Prior to carrying out the job, Colin gave me the best advice of all the companies I saw. The roof to my house is quite large and the original roof was built before WW2. Colin drew on his experience to find the best possible way to make the roof secure without pressure to buy a new one. Work needed to be done on the hip tiles and the cemented areas. Colin told me that he would replace some tiles at no extra cost if they broke whilst repairing the roof and he had to replace quite a few. His price seemed quite reasonable compared to some other quotes of companies with large overheads. Colin and his companion Jo, carried out a very thorough job, meticulously cleaning the hip tiles, and finding ways to secure the roof. They worked very well together. Although the work took longer than anticipated, Colin honoured his original quote, and the work was completed to what I believe was the best possible standard. All rubble was taken away and the premises were left in excellent order. I highly recommend CJS.

We had no problems rearranging the work after various incidents occurred. On the agreed date they turned up on time and carried out the work which consisted of replacing an old slate roof with a tiled roof and under-sheeting. The work took five days and presented them with problems as the house is around 150 years old and therefore the work was not straightforward. The work was carried out in an exemplary manner, with the work carried out neatly and all rubbish cleared as they went. Collin the director of the company was able to give us very good advice both before the work was carried out and during the work.

CJS carried out a re-roof of my house, with clay tiles. They also inspected and re-rendered the chimney stack. The work took five weeks, during very bad weather (including two storms). They worked hard to make sure all the work was done to a high standard, and did extra bits of finishing without increasing the price. We are very happy with the result, and have not had any issues since they left site. Thanks very much for your work!

My housemate and I contacted CJS roofing and building company after an encounter with a rogue trader. He came quickly to make a temporary repair to stop a leak. The roof was over 35 years old and needed replacing. A price was agreed which included any replacement of guttering and soffits as needed. They completed the work this morning leaving no mess behind them. Colin and his team were punctual and efficient. As unforeseen problems arose Colin kept us updated and explained the options. Inspected and clearly explained work needed and reasons why. Very efficient. Quick and polite service. Suggested other work that might be needed but also said where work was not needed.

Colin is polite, punctual, efficient and very honest; he doesn't push you into unnecessary repairs, and gives you a wide array of options. Post-repair there was no debris or trash left behind. Would highly recommend.
