Combat Windows and Doors

To replace units we have to remove the outer rubber gasket to free up units then clip out existing beading that holds the glass unit in place, we do this with a thin flat blade and gently remove the beading. Upon close inspection of the area we worked on where the bead is close to the face of the door frame, there are no notable marks or scratches. I am 100% positive that the scratches on the face of the door in question, at the bottom of the frame are old scratches and marks that have been there for some time and not made by our fitter. These scratches were also on the inside edge of the frame that is behind the rebate of the outer frame, which would have remained closed when fitting new units, so we would not have come into contact with these areas when fitting replacement units. I believe these scratches could have been made by a cat or dog scratching at the bottom of the door, or other items or articles being moved in and out of the French doors over time and normal wear and tear. These marks may not have been noticed before the new units were fitted, but were noticed by Mrs. Navarro upon close inspection to the frames. Thank you.
